Chapter One

Kirby had invited his friends over to his house on a cool October day. They were deciding what to do for Halloween. "We should Trick-or-Treat!",Ribbon said. "But we do that every year! I want to do something special!",Kirby protested. "Like what? Run around in the woods at night?",Adeleine joked. "Sounds better than lying around here all day",King Dedede said. "Hey! Where's Waddle Dee?",Kirby asked. The others stopped arguing and looked up. "Hey guys! Look what I found!",Waddle Dee dashed inside Kirby's house carrying an old book in his hands. "Hey! What's that?",Ribbon asked. "I don't know, I found it in an old book store and the woman at the counter sold it to me",Waddle Dee said. "Neat! What's it about?",Adeleine asked. "It's called Kurayami",Waddle Dee said. "What does that mean?",Kirby asked. "I don't know",Waddle Dee replied. "Let's open it and find out!",Ribbon said.

Kigai ran down the streets of the town. "I can't believe this!",she grumbled out loud. Kigai was spirit guardian of the Kijo Sister's shine. The Kijo Sisters were three evil witches that were planning to stuck the life out of the Dreamlanders and increase their powers. They used a horrible, evil book called "Kurayami" to cast awful spells. The only one that was strong enough to beat the three sisters was a strong sorcerer named Mangus. Mangus used his most powerful to lock the witches up in the shine for 300 years. Kigai was put in charge to scare off any intruders from getting their hands on the book. But now it was gone. Kigai had disguised herself as a young girl and went off in search of the book. Now she hoped it wasn't too late.
