The Bronto
by Knuckle Joe
(Told by Kirby)
A cold October evening
The wind was very cruel
I resided in my chamber
Sitting on a tall wooden stool
Halloween candy always made me sick
As If by some kind of spell
So I sat here on All Hallow’s Eve
What time it was? I could not tell
The rain beat down, and echoed across the room
And ghosts seemed to cross the floor
This Halloween night,
There came a knocking at my door
I knew not who could be tapping on my door
I ingnored only at first
But tapping stayed peristant
And the door finally burst
Standing in the doorway
There stood a small critter
His feathers glistening in the rain
The look on his face, was bitter
A round pink body
Two round dark eyes
Large azure wings
I was instantly mesmorized
His cold dark stare
He didnt look very kind
He stood there quitley
Quothe the Bronto "Nevermind
Puzzled by this strange greeting
I scrambled to my feet
I bookmarked my reading
and layed it on my seat
Perched on the statue
His feet dug into the stone
I ran to the kitchen
To grab the plate of scones
I welcomed him in with a kind wave of hand
His face lightened up, and he gladly agreed
So we sat down at the large oak table
And ate the scones that All Hallow’s eve
I inhaled all the crums
And swallowed them too
Where the Bronto had gone by now
I had no clue
I closed my chamber door
and pondered what he
saidQuothe the Bronto "Nevermind"
It echoed through my head
