Dedicated to Revor Tay Alph Ray, whose fan fic made me remember
the glory of Kirby, to Jamey, for his SPLENDID work with his fan
fic; the Kirby Super Survivor, and to NoPLo, for the best
picture of Adeleine ever seen.
One day on Pop Star, Kirby was having a walk. He
felt very poetic as he walked through the splendid colours of
the leaves, the orange, the red, the yellow... And so did
Adeleine. Kirby saw her standing on the tree stump of a large
redwood tree, painting a beautiful replica of the wonderful
woods in its autumn splendidness. Suddenly, the painting started
glowing, Adeleine watching it stunned. Suddenly, there was a
large flash, and Adeleine was sucked into the painting. Kirby
tried to run, but it was too late. He, also, caught only a flash
of autumns bless before he was sucked in totally. He fell, and
fell, and fell for a long while, once in a while wondering why
he was here, why he wasn't enjoying some lunch in his home...
Fluff. He had landed on a pile of leaves. The first thing he saw
was Adeleine sitting on the seemingly same stump as home on Pop
Star, but this time it was obviously sketched. Her eyes was
teared.
“Adeleine..?” Kirby said.
“Kirby!” Adeleine said, giving him a hard hug.
She then started crying.
“What... what is it?” asked Kirby.
“Like if you don't know!” cried Adeleine. “Were
stuck in my painting! I used the wrong type of paint! We may
have stay here for ever!”
“Oh...” Kirby said. He was lost for words.
“But... We still have each other...?”
“But we don't have any food, or any place to
sleep, and we don't know if some one even lives here!”
“Look,” said Kirby and pointed at something in a
tree. “A bird!”
Adeleine looked up. She noticed a blue bird
sitting in the crown of a tree.
“Its the bird i painted!” she said. She walked
towards it. It let out a soft sound, not as a bird should sound,
but a mumbling noise that sounded like ‘Follow me, mistress’.
“After it!” Adeleine shouted, at new filled with
hope. They followed it for five miles, and then it landed on a
tree. It once again let out a noise, this time it sounded like
‘Round the corner, mistress’.
“Kirby, follow me!” Adeleine said, and they
walked around a cliff wall corner.
“Whoa!” said Adeleine and Kirby in chorus. There,
by the splendidness of Adeleines autumn woods, was a perfect,
sketched replica of Cappytown, DeDeDe’s castle, Orange ocean,
Green greens, Vegetable valley, Rainbow resort... The whole Pop
Star was sketched of, and from the hill they stood on you could
see it all! It was beautiful! Adeleine ran down with a astounded
shout, and Kirby followed her. They found Adeleine’s house, and
in it were Adeleine! A perfect, sketched replica of Adeleine!
“Wha... What?!” shouted the sketch.
“Wait! Calm down,” said Adeleine, “And i will
tell you what i am doing here.”
After Adeleine told the sketch the story, she
asked if the sketch could burrow her some of the magic paint so
that they could come home.
“Of course!” said the sketch.
“Thanks, Adeleine!” said Adeleine, took some
paint and ran off. She ran to the stump and painted a painting,
she was just about to draw the last line, when they heard a
voice behind them.
“Hah hah! If I possess a Kirby from another
dimension, the one in this one will certainly duke out!” it was
the Dark Matter. A horrifying dark sketch of evil itself.
“Ruuun!” shouted Kirby. They ran away from Dark
Matter, and hid behind a tree. Adeleine panted, then she panted
again, and then she looked towards the direction they came from.
Or so she thought. She found herself staring into a large eye
with a horrifying orange tint to it.
“Ha ha ha ha!
At last! You will never escape, Kirby!” it flied
in a large bow, and the it bomb dived towards Kirby. It was just
about to hit, when Adeleine leaped in front of it. It hit
Adeleines back and a large horrifying flash occurred. Then the
orange tint in Dark Matters eyes spread to Adeleine’s, and then,
there was a voice that belonged to Dark Matter.
“What in the... This isnt the body i possessed,
is it?” the voice said. Dark Matter then talked with a faked
sweet voice; “Very well... Now, Adeleine, i want you to finish
off Kirby once for all...”
“Adeleine, Don't listen to hi...” Kirby couldn't
finish the sentence before Adeleines fist hit him in the middle
of his face. It hit two... three... four times, and then, the
possessed Adeleine was just about to deliver the final blow,
when Adeleines real voice shouted:
“NO!!” the dark matter came out of her mind,
through the back, and Adeleine landed bsides Kirby. Dark Matter
exploded. The black and blue bashed Kirby rolled over to the
unconscious Adeleine. He listened to her heart. There was no
sound. He waited in five minutes, but it seemed as an eternity,
then he stood up, waved his fist at
the sky and screamed:
“Damn you, Dark Matter! Damn you for ever after!
I know that you see me! Damn you!!” he then sat down and watched
Adeleines body. A tear fell from his eye. He started to cry and
scream, and the tears fell on Adeleines cold forehead. Slowly,
slowly, her eyes opened.
”Kirby? Why are you crying...?” she asked quietly, and Kirby
stopped crying. He watched her, her eyes full of life, that
seconds ago had been cold and dead, bestolen of a future, her
painting talents spilled forever after... Or so Kirby thaught.
Now, of all sudden, it was like that never happened, she was
worryingly watching him, wondering why he was crying.
”A... A-Adeleine?” he said.
“Yes...?” she replied.
“You... You’re not dead...?”
“No... Why would i be?”
“The Dark Matter killed you... No! Its not like i
must say so, leaving your courage and friendship for forget...
You gave your life to protect me! You were dead for five
minutes!” Adeleine couldnt believe her ears. Then, slowly, she
remembered the adventure in ... what was it called...?
“This... this place... i believe i shall call
it... Sketchland! Sketchland on Sketch star! I will give the
painting of our home to sketch Adeleine, so that she may visit
us at any time! I shall, myself, hang up the picture of the
sketchland autumn woods in my home!” Adeleines face extended in
a large smile. And then they ran to sketch Adeleines house, gave
her the painting, and climbed through it.
At spring, Adeleine knocked at Kirbys door. Kirby
opened it.
“Hi Adeleine!” he said and smiled.
“Kirby! Kirby! Come see!” she said excitedly.
They ran to Adeleines house. There, in Adeleines bed room, hung
the picture of the sketchland autumn woods. Or so, once again,
Kirby thought.
“Whoa!” Kirby was shocked. For there, at the
wall, hung the picture of a green wood, the trees covered with
flowers.
