Masked Puffball Finale

  1. As Voted by the Fans
  2. Drawing Attention
  3. Kirazy Konclusion
  4. Gobbo's Grab-bag

Yikes. When was this all last worked on? The puffballs have gotten all stale and moldy, but it's still good, it's still good! Maybe? Anyhoo, following the trend for the last year, here's the unspectacular wrap-up for this bit.

Fan Favorite: You gotta show who the fans loved, or at least who they gave the most love to at some predetermined past point in time. Votes barely trekked out of teens, which means either the IF loyal were in full force or pretty much anything cast was from a wandering and confused individual.

  1. Mystic Knight - 42%
  2. Range Knight - 37%
  3. Bubble Knight - 36%
  4. Scots Knight - 35%
  5. Illusion Knight - 34%

Drawing Attention: People like pictures, right? Well, here's the entries with the most spectacular artwork. Actually, there weren't many with any image at all, but someone familiar made sure to change that factor. Yes, this field pretty much exists as an excuse to link to some D3D art.

  1. Sharp Knight
  2. Illusion Knight
  3. Dedede-Daimyo's Entries

Kirazy Konclusion: Who wants to hear from me some more? No one~! So, the IF baton is being handed to a new dude, Kirazy!

Bah! I think we've heard enough from Bimblesnaff! Why don't you shaddup and let someone else have a chance to do some judging here! Oh right, that's-a what I'm doing here. Well now, let's try this judging thing on for size. And in case you're all wondering, it's my obligation to disagree, and only disagree, with everything, absolutely everything, Bimblesnaff says. Now onto the main event!

Having read through all the entries again, I believe I can make an eligible decision about the contest as a whole. In this Kirazy's honest opinion, I found the contest to be a wee bit monotonous and some entries where nearly verbatim, but enough of 'dem big words. I was generally amused by the entrants, some being outlandish and complex, others being more realistic and simplistic. I found myself more attracted to the simplistic, (perhaps because of my strange fetishes,) and less wild masked puffballs. For example, I enjoyed Sky Knight because of a simple, yet fun gimmick executed realistically, while also providing fun attacks and game play. Same goes for others, such as Illusion Knight, or Nebula Knight.

"But who Kirazy? Who is your number one pick from the 'Masked Puffball' contest?" is what all the ladies are saying right now. I'll tell you! I found that my overall favorite was Giganto Knight by Ghostmetaknight. It was the most innovative, and unique concept, as well as being an overall interesting idea. Being the big guy would most certainly set it apart from the masked puffballs we've seen in the past, and the design is also game-quality, as well as pleasing. Some fun attack patterns could be made from the rock throw, club swing, leap in air attack pattern, which despite seeming a little bland, is what gives this knight big dumb guy character, and could be also pretty challenging. But of course, this battle has by far the biggest, and most scintillating gimmick of all. The goop! The goop is really an novel idea, and above all, fun! It'd actually make the fight fun, distinctive, and of course memorable. What can I say. I'm incredibly amused by the idea of a goopy, slow Kirby being chased around by a goopy, slow, big knight guy with a club.

And that about wraps it up for me. Feel free to take it away again, Bimblesnaff (you attention hog~!). And remember kids, always recycle, 'cuz I sure don't want to!

Gobbo's Grab-bag: Wow, I really can't follow that any. So much has been said already, why should I throw more on top of the pile? Well, I liked Ardor Knight. I don't really remember why, but I think I liked her back in September, so that.

Anyhoo, the IF reign reins have been handed off the Blink Batamon. So, maybe that next time? Why not.
