Were is Kirby headed in the future. Kirby games have traditionally been platformers and the odd puzzle, sport or spin-off mini game series.
What is really worrying me is that there has not been a breath of fresh air recently, 3 of the last 4 ?major? Kirby games have been the traditional platform/adventure style game.
The only exception to this has been Kirby air ride, which even as much of a twist in the series as this was, it was too linear and did not have enough freedom.
(Keep in mind this is my theory only and is not an excuse for you all to start sending me Spam) Most Kirby games in the past were very inventive, some of these include games like Kirby's pinball land and Kirby's dreamcourse.
Even though these Genres (Pinball and Golf) had been done many times before, they provided a breath of fresh air to Kirby otaku (fanatics). One only has to wonder how long it is before people will start to tire of this repetitive formula of platform/adventure games.
In conclusion I hope HAL laboratories will think of a new spin off game that will keep the Otaku happy.
