First of all, you're probabily wondering who Klonoa is and how he is similar to Kirby. Well, Klonoa is the long-eared cat-like mascot of Namco. ( Or is it Pac man who is the mascot?)
Now, here are the similarities:
1: Klonoa is a Dream Traveler and Kirby is a Star Warrior. These are both special kinds of heros/warriors.
2: Klonoa and Kirby have the ability to hover/float in the air for a short period of time. Klonoa can flap his ears and hover, while Kirby can puff up and float.
3: Both have silmilar means of transportaion: Klonoa use a sort of surfboard/snowboard called a Floatboard, though it can't fly through the air like Kirby's Warpstar.
4: Both have attacks that sends an enemy's attack right back at them: Kirby's copy ability and Klonoa's ring. Klonoa uses his ring ( Mind you, that ring is big enough to hold!) to fire wind bullets to capture an enemy so he can attack another enemy, do a Double jump, etc.
5: Most of the games in these series have side-scrolling levels. ( They're called Visions in the Klonoa series.)
Finally,
6: Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil and Kirby: The Crystal Shards are both games with 3-D graphics, but 2-D gameplay. ( They're also my favorite games from both series.)
I'm done now, but, now that I think about it, it's almost like Namco copied off of Nintendo or vice versa, huh?
P.S: I apologize for and spelling and/or grammar errors for this Fan Thought.
