I found this on my hard drive from KRR over a decade ago. I decided to dig it up from the main site too

I feel really old looking at it. I still recognize a lot of these folks. Any of you recognize anybody from this?

Yeah, the images aren’t loading. A shame, but eh.

The images aren't working because they're not 'hosted' in the sense that the html can actually show them. If you look at the address for the images you're trying to use it doesn't actually reference the jpeg at all because Drive stores things differently than a typical website does. You'd need to either upload the images to like photobucket or find a site that already has them hosted as a traditional jpeg - deviant art or something.

Thanks! I fixed the link, image is working now! Also something is off with the board. If I click the reply button, I get logged off. I had to use quick reply.

I am definitely too young and new to know anything about that era, but I do recognize Didggery. Solely because she came back for a bit in 2019. (I also recognize Wolfwrath as a character because of the anime, but I of course have no idea what user it's supposed to represent. I may have a guess though from lurking old threads...)

That picture must have taken ages to make, though, good gosh.

Yeah, I remember seeing that image somewhere. It’s nice. But KRR was already having problems when that picture was made, wasn’t it?

The user in question was a forum moderator who went by Wolf4Knowledge. I forget which of the sub-forums he modded though.

It's odd that Fighter isn't in the pic. He's pretty much been here since the start like me, albeit more consistently. He's also clearly still a staff, meanwhile I quit.

I like how the artist portrayed me, it's cute and silly.

Glad to see my Ado Ranger in the upper right corner lol
When I was younger I did a lot of front page contest entries, I just loved this place because it was about Kibry and I loved Kirby. Some of those artworks look kinda bad now, others I would do them differently, but who cares, it has been a lot of fun!

I didn't speak English very well back then, so I was not active in the community aside of submitting artworks for the contests.

On the subject of the Rainbow Rangers, right now I think Susie would be perfect for a White Ranger role. I definitely need to draw an updated version of the Rainbow Rangers with also the animal-friends mecha thing, the old picture was so blurry.

Now I have this on my computer too.
Because I like to browse the KRR Gallery from time to time, I recognize DeDeDe-Damiyo, Meta Lady (this is the name of one of their characters but don't remember the user, I know that they did weird traditionally-drawn Kirby cards though), Bimblesnaff and The Omeleton/Mints (I first saw him when KRR started working again and he became active, discovered their old art later on). Sorry If I misspelled any of their names...
I think I also recognize anime Meta Knight as that person who drew a lot of Kirby Right Back at Ya art traditionally and said they never played a Kirby game.
The KRR gallery is a holy shrine in my books, as It's the only place where I found other Polish Kirby fans. 2 OF THEM! Kirby is a very rare interest in Poland (Nintendo in general isn't very popular either). Unfortuantely, I can't find their online presence nowadays.

Being part of tried site's history sure was an experience. A morbid thought crossed my mind, how many of these people are still alive?

The thought's crossed my mind as well. It's been over 20 years so far, hasn't it? A lot can happen.

I hope they're just off doing things that make them happy.

i'll be honest, idk how many are active.. apparently kindar checks in from time to time so i'm inclined to believe she visits here when possible, all i know is her persona apart something called TOME by Christopher Niosi... thats all i know, mostly saying this to avoid people pestering her.

TOME stuff: https://tome.fandom.com/wiki/Kindarspirit#RPG_adaption

me on the left (actually tho!)

it's funny seeing a few people i actually remember. There are two lasting impressions in particular I think are worth sharing;

- I can't find him in the drawing, but a forum member called Waddle Dedede was probably case of irreverence on the internet I ever saw and I still remember it fondly. The fact someone, c. 2003, decided they were going to "spend the next week only replying to threads with pictures" [of random, hilarious, but completely off-topic and irrelevant matters] was groundbreaking. He also once accused someone of something to do with 'tiddlywinks and a bottle of whiskey' and that's a phrase forever stuck in my memory.

- Wolf4Knowledge once accused me of being "someone who holds grudges for a very long time." Over 15 years and counting, buddy.

Well ain't that something. A little feeling of nostalgia brings me to a nostalgia thread. Howdy.
I still wonder how I managed to get into that picture. I was never really active on the site or boards. I was more of an IRC guy, and DededeDaimyo, IIRC, was never in the chat.

Any idea what happened to the blackicecity IRC chatroom? Last time I checked (I'm pretty sure some time in the last 12-18 months?), mukumuku was still in there. I will forever be weirded out by that.
