Yeah, Air Ride used a lot of songs from the anime.
Especially the orchestrated ones.
You see, there are some songs made for Air Ride that do have an orchestra feel to it, like Magma Flows, but those are actually just really good midis.
There were some digital/midi tracks made for the anime too, and, if I'm not wrong, Final Strategy/Drag Race was one of them.
Most of the game remixes in the anime were digital/midi, with the exception of "Nightmare's Giant Fortress", which is a Castle Lololo remix.
This one was arranged for a live orchestra by Akira, but was reused in Air Ride, just like the other anime songs.
In the last episodes of the anime, some Air Ride songs are used, like Magma Flows, but they're clearly there just to promote the release of Air Ride.
Recently, some anime music was used in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse (with no modifications) and I don't know if Akira was credited as a composer in that game (or even in the "Special Thanks" part).
From what I can remember some new background music was made for the anime in 2003-ish.
Maybe they didn't had the budget to hire an orchestra again.
Those are a lot more midi-like, even tough the original score made for the start of the series was kept.
The game remixes are also something really interesting to me.
Did Akira arranged those? Why do they feel so digital compared to the rest of the score?
