For me, I honestly liked Canvas Curse's final boss (not the too fond of the game's playstyle though.)
I also really liked Star Dream, obviously... and Dark Mind from Amazing Mirror was pretty cool too!

But Star Dream is probably my favorite.

For me, it's either Nightmare, Marx, or 02. Especially with 02's cool music.

The original Zero is by far my favorite, though Dark Matter Swordman/Blade and Nightmare were cool too, and I also enjoyed Queen Sectonia's fight, it was a desperate fight with that feel of, the world is going to end, you are the only hope.

I agree with the one about Queen Sectonia! It was also a really difficult fight in comparison to some of the other Kirby games I played? Super fun nonetheless!

Star Dream. I especially like his phase where he looks like Nova from Kirby Super Star.

My favorite's probably Marx Soul from the Kirby Super Star Ultra version of Milky Way Wishes. Although Dark Matter from Dreamland 2 and Star Dream are pretty high up there.

Zero Two, without a doubt. I just like the way he looks.

Star Dream IS a Nova / Wishing Comet/ Clockwork Star / etc, so... it's not just looking like Nova I think.
So in other words, you like the true arena version then? That has Nova's coloration.

Y'know, thinking about this....Star Dream really seems like the best final boss we've had so far.

...

It's weird, each final boss in the Modern Kirby Trilogy has gotten better for each game.

Marx is definitely my favorite Kirby villian and final boss, but if we're talking about the bossfights, and not the characters themselves, it's a lot harder to choose.

0 and Miracle Matter, and 02 all get points for setting a completely different tone so suddenly.
Marx's bossfight was pretty simple, but flying into Nova directly beforehand, and then facing Marx afterward was pretty cool. Not really sure if I'd count it though, since Nova was the main highlight.
Fighting Marx Soul in the true arena was pretty freaking cool, mostly because you didn't know it was coming before hand. I remember asking myself "wait, what's after Galacta Knight? Is that Marx? There wasn't a hard mode Marx to fight in any of the other games..." and then seeing the cutscene, and being like "oh @$#^." I feel like the more recent "boss soul" fights don't have the same impact, since you know what's coming.
Magolor had a great fight as well, the whole climax of the game in general (suddenly being betrayed, chasing after him, and then fighting him) was executed a bit better than it was in Milky Way Wishes with Marx. Plus striking that final blow with the Super Ability was pretty hype.
In Robobot, the big reveal that the last boss, Star Dream, was the same kind of machine as Nova was super fanservice-y and awesome, plus the remix of Nova's theme was top-notch. I always loved that song and felt it doesn't get enough recognition.

I think if I had to chose a personal favorite fight, I'd have to go with Galacta Knight's battle. The choice of music was really surprising, great spritework, animations, and background, fighting a boss you're only seeing for the first time as Meta Knight was really cool, and the fight itself was pretty fun to boot. Solid.

I really enjoyed galacta knight's fight honestly, if that can count as one? I mean truly. The music and the way he fights is a fun challenge to me, not exactly hard, but fun... to me, feels different from a traditional boss. maybe because hes more on the floor? he guards and does not guard like the player might-- not just invincibility frames with flying around dropping things on you

I love Magolor Soul, Sectonia Soul and... wait for it... Marx Soul (bet no one saw that coming). Star Dream was also pretty fun to fight. But, my ultimate favorite final boss is Queen Sectonia in all her phases. I love the way she looks, the lore behind her as a character, and the battles are really fun. Plus, Sullied Grace and Moonstruck Blossom are a couple of the very best songs in the series imo. World to Win/Sectonia Soul's theme as well.

I'm an utter Sectonia nut, to be honest. There needs to be more of Sectonia.

(People need to know the difference between a reboot and a continuation.)

Anyways, to answer the question, Nightmare(both phases).

At least in Kirby's Adventure, he and the other bosses were actually challenging. They made them so ridiculously easy in Nightmare in Dreamland.

It took me three days to beat Power Orb Nightmare in Kirby's Adventure...

Which version did you play first?

Because if you played Adventure first, keep in mind that all the practice you sank into that game carried over to the remake. You were also probably better at video games in general when you played that.

If you played the remake first, disregard me. :P

I did play Adventure first, but I really suck at video games, so usually anything harder than Epic Yarn is a challenge for me xP

... Actually, that's kind of sad...

This is what I miss about Kirby. The classic games were a walk in the park compared to other games at the time, but still had some tough moments to them, particularly if you were going for 100%. If you were to play a modern Kirby game, getting to 100% would be more tedious than anything.

It’s why I don’t play Kirby anymore. (Or, at least, the newer games. I replayed Kirby’s Adventure a few months back, and it’s aged well over the years. If you’re not someone that only likes Super Star style gameplay, then it’s still a fun experience.)

If you were to ask me which main series modern Kirby games I would come back to, I would most likely come back to Return to Dream Land and Triple Deluxe, might retry Planet Robobot, and never go through Rainbow Curse or Star Allies again, ever.

If you ask me, the oldest games are super underrated anyway. Everyone obsesses over the modern games, but the games from Kirby 64 and before never get any credit with the exception of Kirby Super Star. It's honestly disappointing.

Now, don't get me wrong, I have no problem with the modern games myself, but it'd be nice if the old ones got some credit too, especially ones like Kirby's Adventure.

Although, as far as boss fights go, my favorites are definitely Magolor EX/Soul, Queen Sectonia and Star Dream.
