-The return of helpers.
-They use Kirby's hats.
-Combining abilities kinda like K64.
-Cleaning ability, with Nago appearing in one of its attacks.
-Whip helper = Wester, Water helper = Driblee

It plays like Kirby Super Star, but with 4 players instead of 2.

Did they just find a way to somewhat revive Kirby GCN?

Those are not the only things that's gonna happen in this game, but also water ability makes a comeback too. Combining abilities like N64 is one thing that makes a comeback, but the Elemental Fused abilities like Fire Sword makes a comeback as well.

OMG This game looks amazing.

The return of Helpers from KSS and KSSU and ability combinations like in K64... and a cameo appearance of KDL3's Nago...

I can't even imagine how hyped I must be for this game right now...

Also, everyone's favorite apple-dropping tree boss himself, who's usually the first boss of a lot of Kirby games, is back to pester our adorable pink hero some more, just like usual! And it seems you get to fight him with him facing the front again (like in Team Kirby Clash, and similarly to Flowery Woods in Triple Deluxe). Sweet!

Well It's more than that, but also it's gonna be like Kirby's Return to Dreamland Style which is a 4-players support. I hope There's an amiibo support too.

Me too, and who knows what nasty eldritch behemoth is attacking Dream Land this time... Also, did anyone notice the purple aura Whispy seems to emit during the boss battle?

Already, I'm wondering what capacity Meta Knight and Dedede will appear in this.

The Amiibo support would be nice to have even though the boss battles gets harder at every kirby games. Let's not forget about the sub-games too if there's some we can play.

But now I'm starting to wonder if the "multiplayer Kirby" 3DS game was real.

It feels surreal to have just heard about that game in passing, but we have a Kirby Switch trailer now.

Oh noes! Now, I'll have to save up and buy a Switch! Oh Nintendo, you wily fox, you!

It does look really nice. It seems like a real evolution of Kirby Adventure Wii which is nice. Triple Deluxe is beautiful but it does feel a little like the series was treading water.

A lot of people seem disappointed that it won't be out until next year. Personally, I'm quite happy about that. This year there's a ton of Kirby stuff flying around (happy 25th Kirby!) and I'm getting a little worried that it might start fatiguing the fan-base a little. Having something to look forward to further down the line is nice. :)

Also, it give me time to get those pennies saved!

Hey, remember when there was an announcement about a third Kirby game releasing later this year? The one that's slated to be a multiplayer action fighting game? They just recently confirmed that that game along with the one we're talking about for the Switch will be separate games.

Yeah, I saw that over on the Reddit page. Someone post a link to the Miiverse blog.

It's amazing just how many Kirby games have come recently and now another two!

The best thing is that they've managed to maintain a high quality while mixing up different game play styles and aesthetics. Here's hoping they can keep it up... the last thing we want is for Kirby to suck (see what I did there?). ;)

I'm really looking forward to this game. It seems like the combo abilities aren't so much abilities in and of themselves, as they are combo attacks one can perform with the helpers! I'm reminded of how one could do combo attacks in Return to Dreamland's multiplayer, but doing so was always rather cumbersome even if all players were perfectly synchronized, and the game just wasn't designed around the moves. This seems like an incredible improvement in that regard and I certainly hope we'll see plenty of cool uses!

I think you're onto something there. The seed of a great idea in RtDL was pretty much only that - just a wee idea that hadn't really formed that well.

I've high hopes for the Switch game as it does look like they've taken combo idea and ran with it. Hopefully the single player experience will be improved a lot. I liked RtDL (after all, it's a Kirby game!) but as a single player game it got a little dull sometimes.

I wonder if the game will be an actual sequel to RtDL...

Yeah I found RtDL's single player pretty lacking too. It certainly had a strong spectacle for a first playthrough, but when it came to repeat playthroughs it felt like every area was designed around one or two abilities, and if you weren't using those it was like the game was side-eying you going "Hey, uh, buddy, this is the part where you use the FIRE ability. Y'know, the ability where you shoot FIRE? The one we gave you at the start of the section? Hey, hey, how about you use that FIRE ability already?" Basically every Kirby game has a few moments like that, usually for something like Wheel where the level really NEEDS to be designed in a specific way for it to be effective, but it felt like the whole game was designed that way. Its not something I'd experienced in a Kirby game before, and thankfully I never experienced it in Triple Deluxe or Planet Robobot, so hopefully this new game won't have that feel either.

Totally agree. My first playthrough was a LOT of fun but, yeah, being railroaded into using specific abilities just isn't what Kirby's about for me. I get the feeling that they realised their mistake pretty quickly. Like you say, KTD and PR didn't suffer the same issue. :)
