All these dead links to the game spy version of our forums?

I keep getting hoodwinked every time I stumble upon one.

I'm sure many others had this problem: example from naked escargon thread: It occurs on many non dead threads like New Coloseum as well, but I may ask Someone to clean it up a bit since the first post needs to be updated and stuff (this part here seems to be Fighter Kirby's problem).

I mean, if they're in specific forum posts, I doubt people can help with that. Though you can usually copy the url, replace "kirby.classicgaming.gamespy.com" with "kirbysrainbowresort.net" and get to the page you want to reach.

I wanted to see many profiles and character bios of the long gone members but yeah I guess it can"t be helped can it?

Also some artworks long gone people made I wanted to see also got lost to the bad redirect. Guess that can't be fixed either.

So in all we just avoid the bad links to avoid headache?

Or is there a certain date in time (time of topic creation) that will tell you when and where these old links exist?

If I really wanted to see what it is, I could try that suggestion in the end.

Dead links in posts, unfortunately, aren't the staff's domain, and posts linking to the gamespy site are likely really, really old anyway! =) You'll have a much easier time if you just stick to newer posts.

This really complicates matters for the New coliseum as some fighters that are in this version used the Game Spy site for their profiles. Its will be hard to write stuff if you haven't a clue about their character.

Not really. You shouldn't be using them anyway, if they haven't updated in so long that their links are dead.

Probably not, actually. If the link is old enough that is uses gamespy, chances are it links to a post that doesn't exist at this point.
