Whats your favorite Song Genre?

Mines Techno/Trance.

My favorite would have to be Pop/J-Pop and Alternative Rock~ Though to be honest, I love music from most genres.

Beatlesque Rock and Jazzy stuff.

Classical/Orchestral.
Mainly orchestral, though. It's kind of boring to me if there's only one or two instruments playing, I like a lot going on at once.

I listen to basically everything except country, but my personal preferences would be rock, jazz, and orchestra.

Moreso than that I just love songs that mesh genres and still sound really great. Certain instrument combinations you wouldn't typically think of and such.

From animecore to classical, without country mixed in. I enjoy most. If I had to pick a favorite.. whatever Umineko music is. Waltz? yeah probably that. Badass Walts: the Genre.

Pretty much eclectic, although I tend to listen to a lot of alternative, classical, and like everyone else here, video game music.

For some reason, music has always been a very private thing for me as well--I'm not one for music discussion, although that might just be because I deplore hipsterism.

Err, Classical, Classical Rock, Jazz, Pop, J-pop, K-pop, Rock, a rare dab of techno or metal...well, I'm kind of willing to listen to anything really. Country makes me tired, however, dunnos why.
Mostly J-Pop and Rock ties though..probably.
Oh, and video game music! Which can fit into any of the categories anyhow.

I really don't have a specific preference to music, as long as i enjoy it i listen to anything. The only exceptions are most american rap and screamo rock (nails on a chalkboard to me *shudder*). Lately PrinnyD has been having me listen to classic rock, and i have been listening to brentalfloss and OST to Prinny......dood.

I like everything pretty much. The better question for me would be which song genre is my least favorite, and that would be pop (usually) and rap. I don't think rap is bad, I just don't qualify it as actual music so much. It's more just poetry recited with rhythem. Music is more than that, in my opinion. So I do think it can be pretty cool, just not as music. Pop seems pretty bland to me. It seems it is usually thin, repeatitive, and lacking interesting thematic material. Also, maybe too much focused on the lyrics. I'm not saying all pop is that way, it's just it seems that most of it is based on my (relatively limited) experience listening to it. I've heard pop music with really awesome motifs.

When people ask what my favorite genre is, I usually say classical and video game. Even though 1) that is misleading, and 2) I don't really consider video game music a genre on the level of other genres. It's not necessarily a style (although it can be), but more like a form that integrates with other creative mediums.
