Kirby's Rainbow Resort

Now, we all know how beloved Kirby Super Star, is (even though Super Star Ultra is far better) so why not remake it with even more missions, story, sub-games, and over-all content. I’ll be adding onto this in the form of replies, but I’d like to hear all of you guys’ ideas. Have fun!

I don't know that I understand the need for a second remake. Especially if you would want to add a bunch more games to it and stuff.. why not release just the new content as a new game?

I kinda like the idea of a Super Star 2.0. If SS is essentially a bite-size greatest hits deal (regarding aesthetics and the fact the first game is pretty much a remake), how about a follow-up using ideas from, say, Canvas Curse or Robobot? :)

Yeah. I don’t think that it should be on the Switch, because that would be too close to the release of Super Star Ultra. Whatever comes after the Switch, or even after that, this game should at least be though of. For aesthetics, although I love sprites, I feel graphics similar to Allies would fit in. Of course a higher poly count, 60fps, and the Smash design for Dedede. It would also be cool if for the new modes, Sakurai could be involved, if only a little bit. Two more sub-games (mini-games) on top of the existing pile from Ultra would be nice. I’m currently wondering what the logo would look like. Marker, or a wooden board over the previous Ultra would make that game look like crap, so maybe yarn or the neon tubes you see on open lights? A big ULTIMATE over ultra would work well, though it may draw too many parallels with the new Smash Bros. Meta Knightmare Ultra would be renamed to Meta Knightmare Ultimate, to fit the title. Sorry if this reply lacked a bit of energy, but I kind of become a robot when thinking of new ideas (in the sense that my writing is stiff).

Also, for one of the games, it would be cool if combining abilities, like it was in Kirby 64, could come back. I thought it could be a cool gimmick. Also, what if the origins of Bandnna Dee and Kirby meeting was a thing in one of the new games. I haven’t really been in touch with modern Kirby, and the most I know about Bandanna Dee is his Megaton Punch appearance, so please correct me if the origin thing was already in a different game. If this were just a fan project, (no Sakurai) we could maybe even include some of the emotes as idle animations or taunts. Of course, they would be 3D modeled poses, though I think that may actually look pretty cool. It would be neat if that mission from Kirby’s Dream Land 3 could return. Ya know, the one with Samus. I don’t know much about Dream Land 3, so if the mission in that lacked a bit of stuff, more meat could be added on for a more complete game. It would also be pretty cool if there were even more Copy Abilities. What if there was a yarn move that acted like a grappling hook, and could pull apart interactable parts of the background, and roll enemies into balls. It would also be great if the outside cover art looked like the original Japanese cover, with the wooden texture and such. It would be a nice call-back. PLEASE REPLY!!!

If we get a remake, I'd much rather have a remake of the Dark Matter trilogy - I think they'd benefit the most from a transition to the modern era.

Dream Land 3 doesn’t need a remake because it’s already perfect, and Dream Land 2 was pretty forgettable. I agree with Kirby 64, though. It had a lot of cut content that could be brought back, plus we need the 2.5D platforming style to be revived.

(I’ll forever be mad that Kirby GCN was cancelled.)

I'm also not fighting for me, but for my favourite Kirby game. I fight to defend KDL2's honour.
