Samurai Kirby!~ Kirby1910 viewsKirby is full of Japanese flair. In this fashion, he is always shown with thick eyebrows for some reason. He carries a traditional Japanese sword, Katana, and has his hair pulled back into a ponytail. Wait... Kirby doesn't normally have hair?! The same hairstyle is seen in Kirby Card Swipe, though it is more consolidated in this appearence. And the weapon is not always a sword; it can also be a fan, hammer, or noisemaker, under certain conditions. Samurai Kirby has been featured in KSS, KSSU, and K:NiD4 commentsDedede-Daimyo04/29/11 at 16:54MetaKnight#1fan: Nice! kirby's face is funny
Poppy_Bro__Jr_.JPG
Poppy Bros. Jr.2247 viewsHere is the Junior member of the Poppy brotherhood. You can tell he is a bad guy and not a helper by the color of his clothes. Poppy Jr. started out in KDL as a regular who pranced around, often on top of spherical objects. It was only in KSS where they began to throw bombs like their older siblings. Their happy faces and clownish antics ingrain them as classic Kirby characters. They have a large array of relatives, including Poppy Bros. Sr., Boomber, and Perot.9 commentsDedede-Daimyo04/28/11 at 11:01KirbyKirbyCurry: Its Boomer not Boomber. Still great sculpture thou...

Meta Knight Ultra2344 viewsWave 2 of my Ultimate Kirby Super Star Sculpture Series. Sorry for the delay, but the holidays disrupted my schedule a bit, and, who really expected me to work my butt off non-stop to hastily finish this set for no benefit to myself? The extra time spent will show in the upcoming masterpieces. These will come at a more reasonable rate, so I do not immediately hog the whole Fan Creation Showcase from all other wonderful artists. I believe I'll remake this sculpture in a style more similar to MK's victory pose as seen at the end of Meta Knightmare Ultra, in he future.11 commentsDedede-Daimyo04/27/11 at 15:24KirbyKirbyCurry: awesooooooooooooooooooome!!!!
Smash_MK.jpg
Smash Meta Knight2704 views*Cue RoMK Halberd Music* Oh yea, my peoples~ Feast your eyes on this fully rendered, incredibly detailed, and superlatively (etc.) wondrous Master MK Sculpture! Meta Knight kicks as much butt in Brawl, as he does in my 3D Dojo! Kirby's rival is a dark and deadly ball of terror on the battlefield. His quick and versatile playstyle and mastery of the Galaxia sword allow him to deliver the “Meta Knightmare” to unsuspecting players. Many of MK's attacks and abilities come from the games he has appeared in. Of course, his sword attacks derive from the Sword Ability and/or the encounters with the boss in various games, yet techniques like the Shuttle Loop and the ability to fly come from Super Star's wing ability and the Revenge of Meta Knight subgame. Also from KSS come MK's giant Battleship, the Halberd (redesigned) and his overly-powered Mach Tornado, which may also be based on Tornado Ability. Unlike Kirby, MK's look has been slightly updated for his debut in SSB: He always wears his cape (which has a bat printed on the back) during the fight, instead of discarding it; his shoulder-armor comes to a point on the edges, as well as now displaying his “M-sword” mon (first seen in RoMK) and red-tildes; shoes change to purple-plated armor over black leather; and his mask, instead of being secured to his face by a band, is held on by two small clips. *Cue RoMK Ending Music*13 commentsDedede-Daimyo04/27/11 at 14:59KirbyKirbyCurry: Awesome looks plain perfect.
King_Dedede_Ultra.JPG
King Dedede Ultra3243 viewsAfter a long leave of absence, the 3D Daimyo Dojo returns with the greatest Dream-King-figurine the world has ever seen! Personally, I believe this is my best sculpture yet (even though it was finished a year ago), and seriously, could it possibly be topped? I tried to depict Dedede in the exact style of Kirby Super Star, with the outlined waistband, hammer-stars, and self-insignia on the back of his robe. Even his pose: basic, yet forever defining. Everything about this harkens back to the golden-age of Kirby, and reflects my obsession with the character. Though, I am not obsessed enough to sculpt an updated “Masked Dedede” version, simply because I feel this one is too good to improve upon. FYI: all of my sculptures are made of beige Super Sculpey Polymer Clay and are hand-painted in acrylics.
So, I'm in art-college now. Based on just three-hours of class-time so far, I can say (imprudently) that I am already way beyond the teachings of this institution, having learned this stuff in gifted art-classes since elementary school. Whaha, but we shall see what lies in the future... Anyway, to my surprise/delight, this time away from home will provide me with unheard-of amounts of free-time (since I no longer have to work a daily job), and I plan to make much more art for KRR. This includes finishing my Ultimate Kirby Super Star 3D Sculptures; new 2D artwork in colored pencil, ink, and the return to watercolors; a new secret Essence pic; gallery comments; mailbag, and more~! Perhape I will also begin that manga-series I mentioned before... among other things. Sooo, anticipate the greatness, fans, friends, and followers!

Marx.jpg
Marx2905 viewsThe Super Star Sculpture Set finishes up today with two well known bosses. Marx first appears as a jolly little friend, comparable to Poppy Bros., who lays out the events of Milky Way Wishes, and urges Kirby to find the Wish-granting NOVA. However, all of this is really a ploy to beat Kirby to NOVA and wish for "OMG, UBER POWERZ!!1" so he may take over Popstar. In his transformed state, Marx can fly, shoot waves of arrows, drop an ice bomb, release multiple cutters, attack with thorny rose vines, and even fire his almighty laser! Anyway, Marx is eventually defeated by Kirby, with his collection of Copy Ability Essences. For a more intense and 'makes-more-sense' review of the character, be sure to read Bimblesnaff's “Fan Thoughts” critique. This sculpture's arms/ upper wings have a wire skeleton within to prevent breakage; also held up by a wire base. His hexagonal 'feathers' are painted on a clear piece of plastic attached to the back of his wings. Over all, this figure is pretty dang long...7 commentsDedede-Daimyo04/04/11 at 14:23Marxie2132: I love Marx (my username should tell...
Mike_Cook.jpg
Mike / Cook1985 viewsThe final two Kirby Abilities in this awful assortment~ aren't we glad!? Mike is one of the oldest abilities in all the Kirby games, first appearing as an item in Dreamland 1, and has shown up occasionally in more recent titles. With this special ability, the user only gets three uses before it is finished. The first is megaphone shriek, kirby wears a white baseball cap, (also known as King Dedede's cry); next is desk mike, Kirby wears red headphones, screams Readyet!?; and finally is stand mike, Kirby sports a green rocker's mohawk, Death-bowl!?. This ability does increasing damage to all enemies on-screen. Cook is a one-use ability first seen in Super Star, and then revived in Amazing Mirror. Once activated, Kirby pulls out a large, golden pot, and clangs his utensils together. All enemies on screen fly into the pot, where Kirby stirs and seasons them. The lid then flies off and delicious treats emerge that can be eaten to regain health. This sequence was popularized in Super Smash Bros Brawl, as Kirby's Final Smash attack. It is rare and beneficial, but useless against bosses.
Stay-tuned next week for more Super Star action in my old, better quality.

Wheel_Sleep.jpg
Wheel / Sleep1807 viewsThe fastest ability and the absolute slowest ability! Wheel is a mighty destructive force, like the Tornado of the ground. With this ability, Kirby sports a backwards red racing cap, while resting. When he activates the wheel attack, Kirby's body actually morphs into a pink wheel, capable of running down nearly any enemy or obstacle in the way. He can speed over water and is invincible to most attacks in this form. However, when turning, or if he strikes a solid wall, Kirby will be rendered vulnerable and stunned for a split second; just long enough to seal his fate! Oppositely, the Sleep Ability is completely stationary (even more-so than Stone) and has no method of offense what-so-ever. Really, it is more of a liability than anything good, and is best avoided. Some (the game-designers, apparently) love this ability because it makes Kirby look even more cute than he already is, what with his stocking cap and drool, but even I discard this facet of Sleep. Though crappy in most every appearance, Sleep actually proved useful in two games. In Kirby Air Ride, players who made contact with a racer overcome with Sleep caused the ability to be passed onto them, as well. Also, in Kirby Squeak Squad, the upgraded version of Sleep would restore a lot of the user's health, sacrificing the ability afterword. I know I said I'd do two updates today, but I'm overcome with work, and want to prolong these figs a little longer...4 commentsDedede-Daimyo04/04/11 at 14:19Marxie2132: The wheel looks like a gummy candy
Photo_SHOOT!_3.jpg
Photo SHOOT! (Bonus 3)1993 viewsA long time coming... and here it is, finally! Before you are all of the clay sculptures in my "Kirby's Dreamland 2+3" series of figures. Most returning enemies and bosses have been seen many times before, while those new to DL's 2 and 3 are a fresh sight. This time, King Dedede and the Animal Friends intervene in Kirby's Shotzo shenanigans-- but who has really pulled the trigger? Also seen is my early figure of 'Possessed Dedede' from that one IF contest. Don't worry about Kirby... it's really Batamon in the center~!
Stay tuned next week for a brand new series of sculptures in my one and only, 3D Daimyo Dojo!

SweetStuff.JPG
Sweet Stuff1761 viewsLots of Sweet Stuff going around these days... The big boss of Ripplefield in Dreamland 2 is an insane anglerfish with an electrified lure. Like Acro, Sweet stuff is battled under water. Also like the orca, this anglerfish is indeed FEMALE! Yes, the female species of this fish is actually quite large, while the male is less than 100 times smaller in comparison. Anyhoo, Sweet Stuff is able to materialize Tinsel, the infamous cycloptic starfish, along with Gordo and Squishy to run in to Kirby. However, Kirby can send them, save Gordo, right back at 'er with a blast of his bubble gun. She can also fire damaging vibrations and electro-balls from her glowing lure; these cannot be utilized and must be avoided. As with all underwater levels, the aid of Kine levels the playing field. She cameos in KDL3 as part of Ado's painted boss battle. And now, a looming Darkness approaches...7 commentsDedede-Daimyo04/04/11 at 14:15Marxie2132: Isn't it also on KEY
Acro.JPG
Acro1723 viewsOrca Acro is both a huge boss and sculpture! She is the boss of Ripple Field in KDL3, and somehow reappears on Aqua Star in K64, making her a reoccuring boss. In #3, Kirby first battles her above water, on a rock bridge. After Acro has been weakened, both will fall into the ocean below, where Kirby must swim-dodge various debris the whale spits out at him. Blowing air bubbles to knock back falling rocks and mini whales is the best way to deal with Acro, if one does not have an ability. Kine really helps this battle go swimmingly. In #64, Acro returns acting similarly, except this time, her tackles and projectiles are more "torpedo like". This sculpture is made from air-drying bulk-clay, compared to smaller pieces, made from Super Sculpey Poly-Clay. It is said she is a relative of the "Flying Whale"...5 commentsDedede-Daimyo04/04/11 at 14:14Marxie2132: She is most likely so grumpy because she ate so mu...
