Kapar.JPG
Kapar1574 viewsKapar the Kappa. The Japanese water-imp with a love of cucumbers and a fragile dome-shaped head. Kapar are generally found near/ in water where they employ amphibious tactics to attack/ evade Kirby. The "hair" surrounding their bald scalp is actually a saw-like disk that they can send flying across the screen. Thus, Kapar is a cutter ability holding enemy. Though nowhere as sinister as their mythological counterparts, Kapar are still very tricky and annoying at times. You know, like how they jump right up in front of you so you'll collide with them, or how they swim after you and throw their disks under water?! For me, it's a love-hate relationship...3 commentsDedede-Daimyo04/04/11 at 14:10Marxie2132: That is the cutest look that mythical creature has...
Kaboola.JPG
Kaboola2447 viewsEverything about Kaboola is epic. This is the original Kaboola boss from Kirby's Dream Land; other variations include the duel-cannon sporting model from Blockball, and the killer-revamped model from the new KSSU (not that I have made those, too)! She is a large blimp with a hexagon design on her sides, pink fins, and a cannon (shotzo) underneath. She could totally pwn Dreamland if Kirby didn't have a special item to aid in her destruction. I usually make my sculptures out of Super Sculpy polymer clay, but with very large figures like Kaboola, Whispy and Kracko, I use air-drying clay that comes in great quantities. It is cheap and effective. Also, I had to re-enforce the wire I use to hold up 'flying' characters.12 commentsDedede-Daimyo04/04/11 at 13:59Marxie2132: Will you make new Kaboola
Bronto_Burt.JPG
Bronto Burt1844 viewsBronto Burt has a big name for such a small creature! He is one of the flying enemies Kirby regularly encounters on his travels. He is a simple foe with a simple shape- very easy to make, as is only 3 spheres, fly-wings, and a face. BBs fly through the air, walk along the ground and take off, or home in on Kirby for attack. Their relative is Koozer. For all flying/floating creatures, I use wire formed to a triangle shape, to support their mass. It gives a more authentic feel, I believe.3 commentsDedede-Daimyo04/04/11 at 13:55Marxie2132: It has Prince Fluff's eyes
Drawcia.jpg
Drawcia2264 viewsDrawcia Sorceress is the main antagonist of the modern Kirby game, Canvas Curse. She was originally just a painting, but one day got hold of the Power Paintbrush, and began to exact her revenge on the land. She turned all of Dream Land into a painting, and when Kirby tried to confront her, she removed him of his arms and legs! Drawcia then goes into hiding, painting enemies and bosses, such as Paint Roller, Kracko, and Dedede in a mine-cart, in order to halt Kirby's progress with the help of the Paintbrush. Kirby again meets with Drawcia in Her World, and duel-layered, challenging battle ensues. Another form of her's seen in this climactic moment is Drawcia Soul, a monstrous globe of paint, as well as the little Mini-Drawcias and Paramatters. Once Kirby has sealed the Witch in a painting, Dream Land returns to normal, and everyone grows their appendages back, I guess. This is Witch-Week on the 3D Daimyo Dojo.6 commentsDedede-Daimyo03/18/11 at 19:58Hoshi no Dedede: Drawcia's one of my favorite bosses. :3
Adeleine.jpg
Adeleine2109 viewsIt's Hump-day (Wednesday), and time for me to take a break in my busy schedule to upload another sculpture for the 'Resorters! I truly envy Adeleine's ability to paint anything she can imagine in a matter of seconds. I mean, I'm working myself to death all this week to get this giant painting ready for the KRR 10 Year Anniversary, and all Adeleine would have to do is wave her magic-wand-of-a-brush, and it would be done in no time! It would probably even come to life off of the paper, to boot~! Anyway, this model is a more recent one, hence the overwhelming beauty, and is the first in the random assortment of figures composing my (final?) set of sculptures. Unlike the Ado from KDL3, this one is actually completely based on the painter-girl from Kirby 64. Look forward to my huge, colorful, and jam-packed 'KRR Decade' picture on the Rainbow Resort's 10th Anniversary, Saturday, September 26th; make sure to participate as well, every-every!5 commentsDedede-Daimyo03/18/11 at 19:58Hoshi no Dedede: It looks amazing! :3 She looks so cute.
IceDragon.JPG
Ice Dragon1922 viewsThe big bosses continue~! Ice Dragon is the refrigerated reptilian ruler of iceberg island in Kirby's Dreamland 2. Despite his heavy appearance, ID is able to hover in battle by rapidly spinning his tail. When he lands, the shock-wave causes sharp icicles to fall from his cave's ceiling. Also by spinning his tail, ID can whiz toward Kirby, while he releases an icy fire from his gaping maw. Another use for his tail, Ice Dragon can send a frozen stalagmite along the floor in Kirby's direction. This guy was somehow popular enough to cameo in KDL3 as one of Ado's killer paintings, again in K64 as one of Adeleine's attack arts, and at least twice during the entire run of the anime. This guy gets around! (with the aid of his tail) :D6 commentsDedede-Daimyo03/17/11 at 18:57Hoshi no Dedede: Aw, I love Ice Dragon. He's so cute.
Pon_Con.JPG
Pon & Con1687 viewsAnother double-team update so soon? This July 4th, I present Pon and Con, in all their furry-fury. They attack in the same manner as Nruff & Nelly, running across the platformed stage with their children (mini Pons & Cons) trailing. Pon is the Tanuki; his name comes from the sound of the mythical creatures drumming on their stomachs. Con is the Kitsune; his name derives from the call foxes are said to yelp. Some would think that these two are cruel to send their children out to battle along with them, but that is not the case. P&C are single parents who both care for their litters the best they can. They put themselves in harms way so their children may survive... Some of my most favored bosses.3 commentsDedede-Daimyo03/17/11 at 18:55Hoshi no Dedede: Pon and Con are so cute.
Togezo.JPG
Togezo1931 viewsTogezo (probably better known as Spiny) is somewhat of a cameo-character. Of course, he holds the needle ability, as he can extend his spikes for defence and can roll into a ball and move around for an attack. Togezo first appeared in 'Adventure; he then showed up in 'Dream Course; in 'Dreamland 2, his relative, Spikey the porcupine, was instead featured; and finally, Togezo last appeared in 'Dreamland 3. I would say that he is one of my favorite enemies. Damn Needlous for replacing him!12 commentsDedede-Daimyo03/14/11 at 23:35MetaKnight#1fan: i think tick is pretty cool.
RealDarkMatter.JPG
Real Dark Matter2148 viewsThe second form of KDL2's final boss; Dark Matter also appears in KDL3 and K64. After shedding his samurai cloak and armor, DM reviles his true self to Kirby as they duke it out in space. In both of the times he is battled, DM shoots black lightning out of his eye and lets loose the orange/purple orbs from his back which home-in on Kirby. The Rainbow Sword can reflect these orbs back at DM in DL2. However, in DL3, Kirby gains the superior Love-Love Stick, composed of all the heart-stars gained throughout the game, and used that to delete Dark Matter. Zero is the driving force behind DM, but I never made him, because he would just be a giant waste of clay. DM has the ability to possess people and things, which is the biggest threat he poses. His relative is Miracle Matter, and possibly Dark Nebula.
> Japanese Guru man here again! In this installment, I have a theory that will blow Dark Matter's origin out of the water. Deeply hidden in the lore of Japanese monsters, there is a creature called the "Bakkubea-do" (Backbeard/Bugbear) based on the concept of the Boogieman in the West. Anyway, its traditional appearance is that of an immense, floating black ball with a single eye in the center. This may seem common, but it also has protrusions on its backside, more root/branch-like than the orbs of Dark Matter, but serve the same purpose, as they go after its prey. The Back Beard is said to be the ruler of all Western monsters, in contrast with the Yokai of Japan. As such, it is rumored to be made of the smog from burning fossil fuels. The similarities don't end there; besides being the manifestation of fear, its most prominent trait is its ability to hypnotize people who stare into its eye, not unlike how Dark Matter possesses others. I may just be putting too much thought into it, but you got to admit that the similarities between the two are uncanny. A picture of the Back Beard, for comparison <http://www.toei-anim.co.jp/tv/kitaro/charactor/images/img_backbeard.jpg>

King_Dedede_Ultra.JPG
King Dedede Ultra3237 viewsAfter a long leave of absence, the 3D Daimyo Dojo returns with the greatest Dream-King-figurine the world has ever seen! Personally, I believe this is my best sculpture yet (even though it was finished a year ago), and seriously, could it possibly be topped? I tried to depict Dedede in the exact style of Kirby Super Star, with the outlined waistband, hammer-stars, and self-insignia on the back of his robe. Even his pose: basic, yet forever defining. Everything about this harkens back to the golden-age of Kirby, and reflects my obsession with the character. Though, I am not obsessed enough to sculpt an updated “Masked Dedede” version, simply because I feel this one is too good to improve upon. FYI: all of my sculptures are made of beige Super Sculpey Polymer Clay and are hand-painted in acrylics.
So, I'm in art-college now. Based on just three-hours of class-time so far, I can say (imprudently) that I am already way beyond the teachings of this institution, having learned this stuff in gifted art-classes since elementary school. Whaha, but we shall see what lies in the future... Anyway, to my surprise/delight, this time away from home will provide me with unheard-of amounts of free-time (since I no longer have to work a daily job), and I plan to make much more art for KRR. This includes finishing my Ultimate Kirby Super Star 3D Sculptures; new 2D artwork in colored pencil, ink, and the return to watercolors; a new secret Essence pic; gallery comments; mailbag, and more~! Perhape I will also begin that manga-series I mentioned before... among other things. Sooo, anticipate the greatness, fans, friends, and followers!

Paint_Roller.JPG
Paint Roller2298 viewsBoss Time! Paint Roller is a skilled artist and second boss of Kirby's Adventure (the first was Whispy, but I've already presented him). With his baseball cap and roller skates, he zips around the arena, from platforms to canvas, painting things that come to life. Of course, everything he paints tries to hurt Kirby, but Kirb can inhail them and gain abilities that can be used to damage PR. His appearence resembles an orange Lololo. His limbs are made of wire, painted black, with clay hands and feet. Go art!11 commentsDedede-Daimyo03/14/11 at 17:31Hoshi no Dedede: It looks great! :3
Fire_Lion.JPG
Fire Lion2226 viewsI am particularly proud of how this sculpture turned out. Fire Lion is one badass miniboss- able to leap into the air and pounce on Kirby, grab him and scratch his face off, and blaze across the stage in a firey tackle; and that is just what he'll do on a good day! He strikes terror into the hearts of Dreamlanders with his ferocious jaws and mane of flame. Nevertheless, he will still look foolish if he misses his prey, and falls flat on his face. It is no wonder he was able to capture the great Kinderspirit...9 commentsDedede-Daimyo03/14/11 at 17:23Hoshi no Dedede: Woah! That's awesome! :3
