Blaster Knight450 viewsIF Knight Recruitment entry. Design by mrgameandpie.
Considered just making him a floating torso without feet. Ended up adding them anyway. Regretting the decision.

Meta Knights vs Red Knights1130 viewsI pretty much wanted to draw a bunch of the Meta Knights/Kirby game knights. You know, the cool ones who don't wear a cape. Mace, Javelin, Ax, Trident, Sword, Blade, and even the DL Knights of Blade not-a-knight, Butch, Masher, and Bukiset. They're in purple.
Then, the Red Knights from the contest, at least the ones I liked more/liked drawing/thought meshed with the others best, ie: were round, or at least drawn as such here: Scythe, Shock, Mortar, Whips, Disk, Slash, Scythe.

Blunderbuss Knight418 viewsIF Entry by Samus Kirby

Dunno what robes have to do with knights, nor wings with guns. With a chest plate on, the requisite design would have been on the back and thus invisible in game play.
I also shrunk this knight down to how big they are supposed to be: bodies only half the size of the head. And said head is hidden behind the oh-so-descriptive "a helmet." This is a renaissance one, when firearms really got going.

Bomb Knight (II)479 viewsIF Entry by 888chilly

Other than a helmet and "cameo," this one had nil to go from, so I gave it as little body as possible -- none. I also gave it a wick to at least look like its namesake.
The camouflage turned out nearly invisible with overlay, which I had to use because of how heavily it was penciled. Luckily, this one isn't even a knight so no body cares. 'Snaff used a recycled pic for it originally.

Cane Knight469 viewsIF Entry by Stewie

Cane was an entry wildly disliked by 'Snaff due to the crescent symbol, which is used by fellow knight Trident. However, based on Cane's bio, he fits more with DL2 than the Meta-Knights (although I feel this was not the creator's intentions), so reusing the moon is no worse than Butch using Axe's skull.
Palette and design from the DL2 knights. Tried to angle the staff moon to look like a cane's crook.

Wood Knight3668 viewsWood Knight is my creation for the Round Knights of the Table “Interactive Fandom”, which took nearly a month to completely render-- planning, picture, and prose! Anyway, I’d thank you for actually reading what I have written, as it contains a great amount of knowledge and thought put into it.
Wood Knight draws especially from Chinese history and philosophy, and if you had not figured it out by now, is a Kirbyfied version of the “Terracotta Warriors”, which are thousands of realistic, life-size clay statues unearthed from the tomb of China’s first Emperor. This is part of the reason he is sometimes referred to as Terracotta Knight. The clothing he wears is reminiscent of that worn by Qin Dynasty soldiers, with plated metal or leather armor instead of clay. His wood staff takes the shape of a horse head because horses and equestrian skills were very important to China’s history. Also, all the original Terracotta Warriors’ weapons had deteriorated from age, but the large horse statues in the tomb had survived. The sonar on top of his helm is based on a type of hairstyle generals in the Qin army wore. Terracotta’s blindness comes from being buried under ground for so long; his great age being the reason for his one-hit-K-O lifespan.
Also rooted in Wood Knight’s being is thought from the Chinese oracle, I Ching; in particular, the Hexagram of “Pushing Upward”. Its basis is that of wood springing forth from the earth (I.E.; the growing wood staff extends from Terracotta> ‘baked earth’). In addition, I believe this fortune applies to me as well, as the underlying meaning states: a man will reach a high position if he is steadfast in his actions and puts in the work for success! Anyway, feast your eyes on my hard-made comic! It follows the description on the IF page.

Game-able IF Knights882 viewsAfter going through the current IF Knights list, I pulled out all the ones that could actually be used in a Meta-Army-like situation as is. Long arms and stupid heights (i.e. anything beyond a 2:1 head-to-body ratio) were the only things I tinkered with.

I went off of written descriptions for previously drawn knights, trying to get different looks. The plan is to use some IF creations in my next applet, Tuesday Knight Titans, which pits Bogg and the Fightning Bug against hordes of knights.

Row Key (Left to Right)
Far: Crossbow (I), Shield, Javelin, Boomerang (I), Trident, Disk
Middle: Whip (II), Mace, Whip (I), Ring, Club, Sai
Near: Shock, Scythe (I), Axe, Knuckles, Parasol, Nunchuku

Torch Knight842 viewsIF Knights entry by Airride Master

I didn't give it a go originally because of its lack of finer details, relying on that "armor" that seems to plague so many of the fan-made Knights. I shall commend the entry on specifying no colors, however; people don't seem to realize that the enemies in Dream Land can have a wide and varying palette.

Tonfa Knight638 viewsIF Knights entry by Kirbyzilla

I think the design of TK turned out rather well for fitting in with the rest of the knights. So much so, that I made this separate Meta-Army-appropriate color scheme version. For some reason thought "Laser tonfas -- sounds like Kirby~!" so that's what happened. Were red, but then looked like lipstick, so that didn't happen.

Background contains the second, tiny ballpoint plan, which had a better form, and a double-sided tonfa (shades of Axe from Adventure~!).
Tonfa batons are one of my favorite weapons, mostly because of Yoko Kono from Last Bronx.

Skewer554 viewsIF submission by... some loser~!

Skewer is a Knight in the tradition of Butch and Masher -- thus the lack of a "Knight"-ly title. He's big, purple, hates pets, can't be inhaled, and can't do much more than pace back-and-forth attacking the air in front of him.
His weapon is the Ranseur, which is a flanged polearm. The color scheme was entirely ripped from his brothers-in-arms.

KRR "IF" Kodomo no Hi4155 viewsIf you guys thought my Hina Matsuri pic was good, then you will all love this. May 5th was Kodomo no Hi (Children's Day/ Boy's Day) in Japan, and though I am an entire month late, I hope that the good-cheer and festivity can still shine through today. I have included every Round Knight/ Red Knight, officially submitted or otherwise, in this double-wide picture extravaganza! To the best of my ability, no one was left out. This was a truely beloved contest, steaming with creativity and effort from the fans (and it's creator!), but I am not content by its lackluster finale. No offence, but shouldn't the fans be rewarded for all the hard work and originality they put into this? I hope my picture can serve as a consolation prize to all who submitted, participated in, or missed out on this Interactive Fandom contest. And, yes, I am now officially back to save the Gallery/ Mailbag/ KRR site from the stagnant drought of good art/ compassion/ fun.
