Dedede Daimyo4863 viewsKing Dedede as he appears in the Samurai Kirby minigame, from Super Star and NiDL. Here, he is shown wearing traditional Japanese garb including a blue kimono-hakama pair, a red robe-like haori jacket with puffy tie in the center, tabi socks with zori sandles, and chonmage hairstyle on his hat. Also holding a kine- rice pounding mallet. Drawn in pencil, colored in coloerd pencil, inked in fine-tip permanent marker.3 commentsDedede-Daimyo

Dedede-Daimyo of Kirby's Rainbow Resort6081 viewsYoOOHSSsh! <strikes a mie pose> I am back with another Kirby artwork for KRR and all Kirby lovers! I believe it is due time for my righfull introduction, as many of my pics have been viewed the most of any in the entire gallery! I have studied art professionally for many of my 19 years. I am absorbed in all things Asian related, and style my life as such. My art is all hand-drawn and this one in particular combines all Asian elements of many Kirby games! I am here to show you all! My name, Dedede-Daimyo!13 commentsDedede-Daimyo
Return_of_Daimyo_001.jpg
The Return of Daimyo2808 viewsI have returned (briefly) with 2 artworks that display my prowess in traditional watercolor and ink painting. If youall like this medium better, I might switch to it in upcoming pictures. Anyway, the purpose of this is to promote my infamous "Kirby Super Star Ultra Emaki", which is a long (100") Japanese picture-scroll, debuting at the end of the year. This Dedede appears in the Samurai Kirby section near the end of the scroll; the whole thing features all 16 subgames in KSSU. Anticipate the greatness...8 commentsDedede-Daimyo
Ukiyo-e_Dedede_001.jpg
Ukiyo-e Dedede3507 viewsDedede is dressed like Horibe Yasubei, a character in the Japanese classic play, 47 Ronin (Chūshingura). Ukiyo-e are woodblock prints, literally "Pictures of the Floating World"; most with a major focus on actors and Kabuki theator. This picture is based on Toyokuni Utagawa III's work, entitled "Kanadehon Chūshingura", which are three paintings showing the first kabuki production of 47 Ronin. (I saw the giant hammer 'Ōtsuchi', and just had to do this :) Mine is done in markers and ink. The original print can be found here.14 commentsDedede-Daimyo
Shippuu_001.jpg
In Honor of KCCh: Shippuu3623 views[Full View Please] Dedicated to the fine team working on the Fan Game, Kirby: Cosmic Chaos, composed of Huwpow00, Mico, KlonoaWarrior, Booman77, T3h-Sparksta, Alby, GBAKirbster2007, Caat, Mamthew, And the great Minon! (everyone, yes?!) Anyway, Shippuu is an original character included in KCCh that holds the new Fan Ability. He is also a Tengu, hence he has caught my interest. I have modified his look a little, giving him a Shimenawa rope with Yuigesa pompoms. Also is wearing Tengu-Geta and Tokin. Sakura Pen, Colored Pencils, and Watercolor Markers.8 commentsDedede-Daimyo
Daimyo_Collage.jpg
Dedede-Daimyo 3D2124 viewsThis is my first uploaded non-traditional/ computer-made artwork! Made with the 3D modeling program, Milkshape 3D- used to design the fangame, Kirby Cosmic Chaos. The program is free to try, if anyone is interested. The character who is totally taken from the Samurai Kirby minigame, Dedede-Daimyo is my stand-in for online stuffs. His robe-trim is reminiscent of the curtain of the Kabooki theater. His mallot, a kine, is used for pounding rice. Another of my artworks adornes his back.10 commentsDedede-Daimyo

Dedede-Daimyo 3D #22087 viewsWoah! Sorry everyone! My internet expired 2 days ago, and I was unable to upload daily, but now I'm back! Here is my characature again, done in the Milkshape 3D modeling program, in different poses than before. Displayed are the wireframes, polygon figure, and a hammer strike motion. On a side note, I am helping work on Leirin's: Kirby's Greatest Hits Super Songbook, this time making a picturescroll of Kirby's Dreamland 3! I will upload both my pics and lyrics when I have finished.13 commentsDedede-Daimyo
Dedede_DaiOndo_001.jpg
Dedede Dai-Ondo4074 viewsI shall now post this, because the site it was on seems to be down right now. An entry into Leirin's (AnimeKittyCafe in the gallery) Kirby's Greatest Hits Super Songbook (KGHSS). It is a Japanese festival, with Dedede and his followers participating in a great Ondo song and dance. I also made lyrics to Dedede's Theme, in traditional Ondo style, to be uploaded to the KGHSS in the future. I encourage those who are interested in this project to participate; the rules and sign up can be found here [well, that's weird, I can't find that pic either... This message is sure to change when new development occures]. So, this is done in my watercolor style, with india ink outline. I think that this pic deserves alot of attention because I put much detail into it and worked on it for a surprisingly long time. With this out of the way, I will be taking off this week, working hard on new art that many will enjoy. So, without further humiliation, Sayonara.13 commentsDedede-Daimyo

KRR_Kodomo_no_Hi_001.jpg
KRR "IF" Kodomo no Hi4140 viewsIf you guys thought my Hina Matsuri pic was good, then you will all love this. May 5th was Kodomo no Hi (Children's Day/ Boy's Day) in Japan, and though I am an entire month late, I hope that the good-cheer and festivity can still shine through today. I have included every Round Knight/ Red Knight, officially submitted or otherwise, in this double-wide picture extravaganza! To the best of my ability, no one was left out. This was a truely beloved contest, steaming with creativity and effort from the fans (and it's creator!), but I am not content by its lackluster finale. No offence, but shouldn't the fans be rewarded for all the hard work and originality they put into this? I hope my picture can serve as a consolation prize to all who submitted, participated in, or missed out on this Interactive Fandom contest. And, yes, I am now officially back to save the Gallery/ Mailbag/ KRR site from the stagnant drought of good art/ compassion/ fun.

Dedede-Daimyo_of_Mailbag_Force_001.jpg
Dedede-Daimyo of Mailbag-Force3268 viewsHalf-a-month is too long for me to go without posting art in the gallery for fans of KRR. So, here I present a small token of my selfishness, narcissism, and vanity-- Ok, not really, but close~! As many of you may have known, I am now a semi-regular member of our glorious site's bi-weekly mailbag. Issue 69 featured the start of an awesome comic, known simply as "Mailbag Force". I've thought of continuing the series with each session I partake in, furthering my work-load, yet expanding the comic to a much-looked-forward-to feature. Also, I would perhaps like to work with others on this project...
Anyway, here is my character sheet, displaying the Daimyo's updated design and abilities. >Slash Pen like sword! >Super Daimyo Jump gets the heck outta there! >Kine Hammer pounds foes like mochi! >Kakegoe Inhale strength of lungs! >Chopsticks catch any/everything! >Break for tea~~ >Flap Fans to Flutter! >Power of the immense Ink-Brush! >Frantically build the Terracotta Army! >Last but not least, Essence Ondo Odori~! Primary Colors are sacred. Materials used: India Ink, Sakura Pen, Colored Pencils, Fibracolor Markers, Crappy Crayons.

Kabuki_Kirby~!.jpg
Kabuki Kirby and Co.3601 viewsIt was inevitable~... Who other than I would produce such an impressive work pertaining to the brand-new Kirby of Kabuki ability? Wha-hohoho-no-hoi! Daimyo returns to the Gallery after a well-deserved rest from the 10 Year Anniversary Party-Pic (which is STILL on the front page, thanks!); I plan now to resume submissions of 2-and-3-D artwork on a steady basis. Here-and-now, we see the special, Hoshi no Kaabii 3-D mini-episode, “Take it Down; Demon Beast Ebizou”, (if you haven't seen or heard about it, go to it!) which debuts a new Kirby ability, known as “Kabuki”. Kabuki is a form of traditional Japanese theater, dating back over 400 years; stories center around historical drama, action, and myth; actors are highly stylized, their actions are expressive and exaggerated, and it all has a very distinct appearance that has withstood the test of time. When Kirby acquires the ability, he first appears to take the form of an actual costumed actor- specifically a Yamabushi (mountain-monk). He goes through the classic Mie-poses and Aragoto-movements common to the art, which all turns out to be 'just an act' to distract the enemy. Kirby ultimately attacks by a “Stare of Death”~ launching a blast from his forehead, the enemy is left paralyzed. He finalizes by obliterating the enemy with a long Bo-staff.
Accompanying the picture is the cast of 'Samurai Kirby' and others. I might as well say, that throughout next year, I plan on drawing a traditional manga (or doujinshi) based on the concept and world of this minigame. It will surely be my greatest work~ but a whole lot'a work! As the year closes, I will try to get done with the “Essence of” series of 2D artworks, and paint my final KSSU figure set. And maybe another mailbag. Gotta 'nother Emaki to finish too, shimatta... Also plan to submit a few stories to 'Snaff's new “Pic Fic” brain-child, in due time. This is all just a reminder to myself, for future reference, and a foreshadowing for others. Oh yea, the media used in picture as follows: Outlined in India Ink, Figures colored in Colored Pencil, Background colored in Felt-tip Marker. So, until next time, Bye-cha!
