Kirby's Return to Dream Land3375 viewsTHIS. Is the true Kirby Wii we've been waiting for! And what an amazing game it is! :D It's my favorite game in general to date, best Kirby game in my opinion, amazing gameplay, cute-as-ever characters, gorgeous visuals, a twisting plot, and a magnificent soundtrack! Everything about this game is just truly amazing!

You can see the process of how I drew it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=om4SGOoGhu4

March of the Penguins3357 viewsMy Frontpage Pic entry for the third month of 2010. The idea just came to me when I was slaving away on my Mailbag Manga. Even though I am dead-tired from having spent two whole months on nothing but art, I say what the heck, and manage to crank out this beauty in less than a day~! Wonder why it has to do with March, besides of the Documentary's title it is referencing? Because winter is still upon us! Very strange weather we have been having this year-- the snow just doesn't want to quit! "It's the effects of Global Warming", as Master Pengi would say. Sorry for referencing the Anime... Happy Viewing ^_^10 commentsDedede-Daimyo

Heavenly King Dedede3258 viewsKing Dedede (Daimyo) as one of the four Heavenly Kings of Buddhism who guard the cardinal directions. Waddle Dees pose as Oni, which he stands on. Inquire if you'd like to know more... Look at this people! The watercolor and ink combine on the page for a true work of art! Excruciating details ARE excruciating! This took alot of time, concentration, and skill to craft (as do all of my works) but, believe it or not, is not the reason I have been gone for over a month. My old motherboard had been fried by Zen, the intergalactic robot-ninja, and I had to battle the forces of good and evil to enact revenge! Now I have returned to the Rainbow Restort with a head of Zen, and a shiny new Toshiba Sword, forged in Japanese Hell and ready for new art-endeavors. The mailbag after this next one will surely feature me, so Rainbow Resorters, give me all you got! I will cut-down whatever you send with a slice of my pen. Watch your backs! I'm taking requests.11 commentsDedede-Daimyo

Dedede-Daimyo of Mailbag-Force3221 viewsHalf-a-month is too long for me to go without posting art in the gallery for fans of KRR. So, here I present a small token of my selfishness, narcissism, and vanity-- Ok, not really, but close~! As many of you may have known, I am now a semi-regular member of our glorious site's bi-weekly mailbag. Issue 69 featured the start of an awesome comic, known simply as "Mailbag Force". I've thought of continuing the series with each session I partake in, furthering my work-load, yet expanding the comic to a much-looked-forward-to feature. Also, I would perhaps like to work with others on this project...
Anyway, here is my character sheet, displaying the Daimyo's updated design and abilities. >Slash Pen like sword! >Super Daimyo Jump gets the heck outta there! >Kine Hammer pounds foes like mochi! >Kakegoe Inhale strength of lungs! >Chopsticks catch any/everything! >Break for tea~~ >Flap Fans to Flutter! >Power of the immense Ink-Brush! >Frantically build the Terracotta Army! >Last but not least, Essence Ondo Odori~! Primary Colors are sacred. Materials used: India Ink, Sakura Pen, Colored Pencils, Fibracolor Markers, Crappy Crayons.

King_Dedede_Ultra.JPG
King Dedede Ultra3199 viewsAfter a long leave of absence, the 3D Daimyo Dojo returns with the greatest Dream-King-figurine the world has ever seen! Personally, I believe this is my best sculpture yet (even though it was finished a year ago), and seriously, could it possibly be topped? I tried to depict Dedede in the exact style of Kirby Super Star, with the outlined waistband, hammer-stars, and self-insignia on the back of his robe. Even his pose: basic, yet forever defining. Everything about this harkens back to the golden-age of Kirby, and reflects my obsession with the character. Though, I am not obsessed enough to sculpt an updated “Masked Dedede” version, simply because I feel this one is too good to improve upon. FYI: all of my sculptures are made of beige Super Sculpey Polymer Clay and are hand-painted in acrylics.
So, I'm in art-college now. Based on just three-hours of class-time so far, I can say (imprudently) that I am already way beyond the teachings of this institution, having learned this stuff in gifted art-classes since elementary school. Whaha, but we shall see what lies in the future... Anyway, to my surprise/delight, this time away from home will provide me with unheard-of amounts of free-time (since I no longer have to work a daily job), and I plan to make much more art for KRR. This includes finishing my Ultimate Kirby Super Star 3D Sculptures; new 2D artwork in colored pencil, ink, and the return to watercolors; a new secret Essence pic; gallery comments; mailbag, and more~! Perhape I will also begin that manga-series I mentioned before... among other things. Sooo, anticipate the greatness, fans, friends, and followers!

YuYuKi(rby)_001.jpg
YuYuKi(rby)3180 viewsFinally, a new 2-D artwork of mine, after so long of time! This picture combines the most popular characters of Kirby with the classic Japan-exclusive game YuYuKi. In the past, main characters Chao and Goku have made cameos in Dreamlands 2 and 3, possibly due to Shimomura's involvement. YuYuKi is a text-based adventure game for the Famicom Disk System, based on the classic Chinese story of “Journey to the West”. Here, Kirby, King Dedede, Waddle Dee, and Meta Knight respectively portray characters Goku, Sanzo, Hakkai, and Gojo on their quest across the land, to enlightenment. I would have included Ribbon as Chao, but I wanted to save space at the top for other purposes relating to my long-awaited Mailbag Manga. Unfortunately, due to the insane amount of work I have been putting into it, the grand-epic one-shot story wont be done for at least one more week. With that said, I just wanted everyone to know that I am not dead, and my regular art-output of essence pics and painted-sculptures will resume once this ordeal has passed. As always, anticipate the greatness, and keep keeping-on KRR~!13 commentsDedede-Daimyo

Not Quick Enough3169 viewsKing Dedede defeating Kirby in the Samurai Kirby minigame, "Quick Draw" of Nightmare in Dreamland. I always preferred this minigame over others and the original Quick Draw because all the characters are portrayed in traditional Japanese clothing, in a reflex-testing adrenallin rush! Drawn in pencil, colored in colored pencil, inked in painted black ink.3 commentsDedede-Daimyo
Year_of_the_Galbel_001.jpg
Out with the Old, In with the New3139 viewsWith this, I hope to prove that I am truly attempting a gradual comeback, instead of just dumping that one packed-marker-pic and then retreating into withdrawn obscurity. You may remember I started this image last year, and only uploaded an inked-and-uncolored version of it to the gallery. Finally, as the Year of the Tiger comes to a close, I have at least crudely crayoned some hues here, so that my efforts hath not gone in vain. You could say the result is sloppy, but I will refute/lie, with the base of watercolor paper, this style is highly reflective of KDL3's artstyle. And you will believe this. Some small changes were made to the background figures, but for the most part, the surroundings still have all to do with Japanese and Asian New Year festivities. Tasty foods abound, as do the sea creatures below, just waiting to be turned into sushi, etc.

I know you're tired of hearing my “Anticipate the Greatness” speeches I tack on below the main art-attraction, most likely because I ever scantly follow through with my boastings. Well, this time's different! There will be a Part 2 to this New Years picture, and all of KRR's invited (erah, at least the biggest contributors...)! Similar in style to my beloved Hina-Matsuri pic of years-past, this magnificent commencement to the Year of the Rabbit will surely astound and educate you all! The date is set for February 3rd, 2011. Be there to heckle/stone me when I don't finish in time~!

Kine_Dedede_001.jpg
Kine Dededee3108 viewsI am sometimes, the very essence of, mischief, itself~! =D Aiya, it is a little too early for Halloween stuffs, but as I was working on my latest "Essence of" drawing (which should be finished sometime this weekend, hopefully) I realized how closely Kine resembles the King. The colors, mouth, 'googly eyes', and all; if the fish were just a bit more anthropormorphic, a Dedede he could be. Of course, I'm doin' it wrong... but this is just a quickie, so be happy with it :) India-Ink Pen + Colored Pencils used.17 commentsDedede-Daimyo

Kirby On Clouds FP Entry3058 viewsMostly a jumping Kirby with clouds. Another average drawing for my comeback Gallery. This time I'm trying out for the FP! But I will not win it! Dedede-Daimyo, Kirazy, and all the other famous KRR Gallery accounts have a 10-to-1 chance of winning so I don't have my hopes up. But, its worth a shot!2 commentsPaint Roller97

New Kirby Wii!2890 viewsI wonder if one will be able to use those extreme power-up attacks anywhere, or only in certain areas? Still wish I had a Wii.

Oh, yeah, happy Valentine's Day! I couldn't come up with a comic related to the holiday.

Broom Hatter2888 viewsSome nice, clean humor. With "what-if" inspired scenarios, this comic portrays Broom Hatter as an obsessively clean helper. Helpers in general are quite humorous as they zealously attack anything on screen, often inadvertently hurting themselves most in the process.5 commentsAdol
