Essence_of_Air_Ride_001.jpg
Essence of Air Ride3305 views17th and final (!?) in my glorious “Essence of Kirby” series~! The climax is here; the long-awaited and often-requested compilation of Kirby Air Ride for the Nintendo Game Cube has at last been revealed with no detail spared! Here, I've included all of the Air Ride machines, including legionaries; many of the game's unique characters, as well as returning favorites and Kirby colorations; and little hints of each mode (Air Ride, Top Ride, and City Trial). Every thing is arranged in a coiling vortex, with levels that rise toward the center and fall as it spirals outwards. The “track” itself has even been colored using each and every one of the 40-some colored pencils I own. I believe I really pulled out all the stops on this one; I wanted to include the most visualizations of any of my Essences yet, simply because this is the very last one (unless “you-know-what” comes out)...
I upload this a week from my 21st birthday, a time of great change for myself. I am happy to say, I've been accepted into a superb art-college for fall of this year; an important “coming of age” event, for sure. Before I deal with everything upcoming, however, I must first take the time to follow-through with a very special union. If all goes well, and if she agrees to forgive me, heheh ^_^*, it could prove to be a most illustrious gift for KRR, come this Christmas! I can no longer abdicate from my promises!
Anyway fans, expect a new series to succeed my Essences starting May 31. Anticipate the greatness And look forward to the future~!

Essence of Squeak Squad4901 views10th in my "Essence of" series. Kirby sets off to reclaim his stolen shortcake, but winds up in a battle for treasure with a gang of marauders known as the Squeak Squad, in this unique DS game. Depicted here are the game's myriad bosses, Darocche, Ston, Spin, Doc, and the Squeakers, and Kirby beating the heck out of Dark Zero with the Tri-star wand. And, thus concludes the first chapter of my Essence of series: Kirby's "Main Series" games. Look for the next chapter: Kirby's "Spin-Off" games at a later date!19 commentsDedede-Daimyo55555

Kine_Dedede_001.jpg
Kine Dededee2475 viewsI am sometimes, the very essence of, mischief, itself~! =D Aiya, it is a little too early for Halloween stuffs, but as I was working on my latest "Essence of" drawing (which should be finished sometime this weekend, hopefully) I realized how closely Kine resembles the King. The colors, mouth, 'googly eyes', and all; if the fish were just a bit more anthropormorphic, a Dedede he could be. Of course, I'm doin' it wrong... but this is just a quickie, so be happy with it :) India-Ink Pen + Colored Pencils used.17 commentsDedede-Daimyo55555

Essence_of_Avalanche_001.jpg
Essence of Avalanche3715 views13th in my "Essence of" series. They're taking over!!! Yes, Kirby's Avalanche/Ghost Trap is a Puyo Pop clone puzzle game; making it similar to Dr. Mario. The only all-American Kirby game, Avalanche pitted Kirby against foes from older games, on a mission to reach the Dream Spring Championship. The game was overly simple; however, this pic turned out incredibly complex. I think this pic has taken the most time to complete yet. Looking back on my older work, I am sickened by lack of effort put into some, compared to my later stuff.24 commentsDedede-Daimyo55555

Photo SHOOT! (Bonus 1)2254 viewsI am very proud of how this one turned out =D ...There is no need to go into detail on this one, I will let you all interpret it for yourselves. I'll probably do another similar to this, after the Kirby's Adventure series of figures is all uploaded. (It makes a great wallpaper ^_^) See you on the flipside, fans!10 commentsDedede-Daimyo55555

Meta_Knight_Ultra.JPG
Meta Knight Ultra1815 viewsWave 2 of my Ultimate Kirby Super Star Sculpture Series. Sorry for the delay, but the holidays disrupted my schedule a bit, and, who really expected me to work my butt off non-stop to hastily finish this set for no benefit to myself? The extra time spent will show in the upcoming masterpieces. These will come at a more reasonable rate, so I do not immediately hog the whole Fan Creation Showcase from all other wonderful artists. I believe I'll remake this sculpture in a style more similar to MK's victory pose as seen at the end of Meta Knightmare Ultra, in he future.11 commentsDedede-Daimyo55555

Marx.jpg
Marx2449 viewsThe Super Star Sculpture Set finishes up today with two well known bosses. Marx first appears as a jolly little friend, comparable to Poppy Bros., who lays out the events of Milky Way Wishes, and urges Kirby to find the Wish-granting NOVA. However, all of this is really a ploy to beat Kirby to NOVA and wish for "OMG, UBER POWERZ!!1" so he may take over Popstar. In his transformed state, Marx can fly, shoot waves of arrows, drop an ice bomb, release multiple cutters, attack with thorny rose vines, and even fire his almighty laser! Anyway, Marx is eventually defeated by Kirby, with his collection of Copy Ability Essences. For a more intense and 'makes-more-sense' review of the character, be sure to read Bimblesnaff's “Fan Thoughts” critique. This sculpture's arms/ upper wings have a wire skeleton within to prevent breakage; also held up by a wire base. His hexagonal 'feathers' are painted on a clear piece of plastic attached to the back of his wings. Over all, this figure is pretty dang long...7 commentsDedede-Daimyo55555

Paint_Roller.JPG
Paint Roller1820 viewsBoss Time! Paint Roller is a skilled artist and second boss of Kirby's Adventure (the first was Whispy, but I've already presented him). With his baseball cap and roller skates, he zips around the arena, from platforms to canvas, painting things that come to life. Of course, everything he paints tries to hurt Kirby, but Kirb can inhail them and gain abilities that can be used to damage PR. His appearence resembles an orange Lololo. His limbs are made of wire, painted black, with clay hands and feet. Go art!11 commentsDedede-Daimyo55555

Birdon_Ultra.JPG
Birdon Ultra1492 viewsUltimate Kirby Super Star Sculptures~ Madamada, no, it can't be! I'm running out of finished works to display! With it being that time of year ,by which I mean ALL year long (that's right, I just never stop!), I am currently working on many artworks all at once, so there may be some delay in uploading for a while as I finish new work. If there was more than one of me, I surely would get everything accomplished in goal time, how unfortunate. Anyway, when I said I will definitely be in the next/upcoming Mailbag, I guess I meant the NEXT upcoming bag #75(Mailbag Monday struck without warning, but it's for the best). That will undoubtedly give me ample time to refine and process my Mailbag Manga (the greatest thing to hit KRR~ so far this year) and answer a quota of questions, to boot. What? Oh yes, this is no blog, this is a Birdon.
I guess you could say it is perfect, but this pink parakeet has nothing on my absolute best big bird boss of awesomeness yet to be revieled. Also, I wish to thank all my viewers and fans; I appreciate your comments, even though I rarely get to talk, but here. Until next time~~

RealDarkMatter.JPG
Real Dark Matter1777 viewsThe second form of KDL2's final boss; Dark Matter also appears in KDL3 and K64. After shedding his samurai cloak and armor, DM reviles his true self to Kirby as they duke it out in space. In both of the times he is battled, DM shoots black lightning out of his eye and lets loose the orange/purple orbs from his back which home-in on Kirby. The Rainbow Sword can reflect these orbs back at DM in DL2. However, in DL3, Kirby gains the superior Love-Love Stick, composed of all the heart-stars gained throughout the game, and used that to delete Dark Matter. Zero is the driving force behind DM, but I never made him, because he would just be a giant waste of clay. DM has the ability to possess people and things, which is the biggest threat he poses. His relative is Miracle Matter, and possibly Dark Nebula.
> Japanese Guru man here again! In this installment, I have a theory that will blow Dark Matter's origin out of the water. Deeply hidden in the lore of Japanese monsters, there is a creature called the "Bakkubea-do" (Backbeard/Bugbear) based on the concept of the Boogieman in the West. Anyway, its traditional appearance is that of an immense, floating black ball with a single eye in the center. This may seem common, but it also has protrusions on its backside, more root/branch-like than the orbs of Dark Matter, but serve the same purpose, as they go after its prey. The Back Beard is said to be the ruler of all Western monsters, in contrast with the Yokai of Japan. As such, it is rumored to be made of the smog from burning fossil fuels. The similarities don't end there; besides being the manifestation of fear, its most prominent trait is its ability to hypnotize people who stare into its eye, not unlike how Dark Matter possesses others. I may just be putting too much thought into it, but you got to admit that the similarities between the two are uncanny. A picture of the Back Beard, for comparison <http://www.toei-anim.co.jp/tv/kitaro/charactor/images/img_backbeard.jpg>

Smash_MK.jpg
Smash Meta Knight2181 views*Cue RoMK Halberd Music* Oh yea, my peoples~ Feast your eyes on this fully rendered, incredibly detailed, and superlatively (etc.) wondrous Master MK Sculpture! Meta Knight kicks as much butt in Brawl, as he does in my 3D Dojo! Kirby's rival is a dark and deadly ball of terror on the battlefield. His quick and versatile playstyle and mastery of the Galaxia sword allow him to deliver the “Meta Knightmare” to unsuspecting players. Many of MK's attacks and abilities come from the games he has appeared in. Of course, his sword attacks derive from the Sword Ability and/or the encounters with the boss in various games, yet techniques like the Shuttle Loop and the ability to fly come from Super Star's wing ability and the Revenge of Meta Knight subgame. Also from KSS come MK's giant Battleship, the Halberd (redesigned) and his overly-powered Mach Tornado, which may also be based on Tornado Ability. Unlike Kirby, MK's look has been slightly updated for his debut in SSB: He always wears his cape (which has a bat printed on the back) during the fight, instead of discarding it; his shoulder-armor comes to a point on the edges, as well as now displaying his “M-sword” mon (first seen in RoMK) and red-tildes; shoes change to purple-plated armor over black leather; and his mask, instead of being secured to his face by a band, is held on by two small clips. *Cue RoMK Ending Music*13 commentsDedede-Daimyo55555
