Kirby's Air Ride was to be the first ever
Kirby Nintendo 64 game. Fans were apprehensive about the very
little talked about Air Ride, and the development seemed slow as
there was hardly much talk about it.
It was to be a game with a snowboarding twist, which at the time
would have been the first four player for any Nintendo 64 game.
Suspicions started to increase though, when the status on the
game kept being delayed, changed, unannounced and then finally
cancelled.
The Good News:
Although this was the first Kirby game that
was ever cancelled, good did come out of it as
Kirby
64: The Crystal Shards replaced it in 2000. AND in November of 2003, the
game finally made its appearance on the Nintendo GameCube, also
known as Kirby's Air Ride. Very different from the original, but
with virtually the same concepts. So not all was lost.
