Rick and Kirby became
friends back when Dark Matter first attacked Popstar. Rick
is the energetic sort, and always ready to go. He can't
fly, but he can climb walls and won't slip on ice.
Kine the Ocean Sunfish
Kine's pretty laid-back, but
reliable. On land he can hop around, but underwater is
where he shines, naturally! Kine can swim against strong
currents with ease.
Coo the Owl
Coo is very calm and
level-headed, definitely someone you can put your trust
in. He can fly in strong winds, which is quite useful.
Chuchu the Octopus
Chuchu is the only girl of
the group. She can have a short temper, but is usually
pretty sweet. She can stick to ceilings and fly a little,
but mostly she rides around on Kirby's head.
Nago the Cat (Japanese
Bobtail)
Nago is a playful cat,
rolling Kirby in front of him like a ball. He can't fly,
but can do a triple-jump in the air.
Pitch the Bird
Pitch is the youngest of the
group. He's also tinier than Kirby, so Kirby usually
carries him around. Pitch really admires Coo, and hopes to
be as strong as him someday.
Gooey
Gooey is Kirby's friend and
ally. He's the same race as Dark Matter. However, he had a
strong sense of justice and lacked their evil ways, so he
ran away to join with Kirby.
Friends
These new
characters appear and need Kirby's help. Friendship works both
ways, and if Kirby helps them out they'll give him a heart
star!
