Hiya folks!
BabyCharmander here with this Helper guide. :D Hope you find
this guide, well… helpful!
Before we get on to the
Helper list, here’s a few things to note:
A
Helper cannot stay off-screen. If it ends up off-screen for
whatever reason, it will turn into a star and rush back to Kirby
before turning into a Helper again.
Kirby
can share food that he’s recently eaten with his Helpers! Make
Kirby get close to the Helper, and he’ll do a mouth-to-mouth
food transfer. (Ouch, wouldn’t wanna’ do that with a Bugzzy…)
Not
all abilities yield Helpers! Limited-use abilities such as
Crash, Microphone, Cook, Sleep, and Paint don't give you a
Helper. You can identify
these limited-use abilities because they don’t give Kirby a
hat.
Unlike
Kirby, most Helpers can’t stay in the air forever! If
Kirby’s flying really high into the air and the Helper gets
tired, it’ll grab onto Kirby’s foot! Kirby can’t fly quite
as fast with this added weight. (Note:
Not all Helpers will have to cling onto Kirby. These will be
specified in the list below.)
Most
Helpers will have the same abilities as Kirby. (Note:
There are a few exceptions to this. These will be specified
in the list below.)
Helpers
can change into other Helpers, or even back into the ability
that they started from! To change your Helper, hold down “A”
when Kirby has an ability and he’ll throw the hat at the
Helper, which will change it. When Kirby doesn’t have an
ability, hold down “A” and the Helper will turn back into an
ability hat, which Kirby can eat to get the ability again.
A
certain ability will always yield the same Helper. It doesn’t
matter if you got your Cutter ability from a Poppy Bro. Jr.
throwing around a boomerang—you’ll still get a Sir Kibble.

Description
Ability
Biospark
Biospark
is a little ninja (*coughthat’snotasgoodasapiratecough*)
that’s covered in armor. And yes, he does have 1337
|-|a><><0r /\/I/\/ja 5|<i11z. He can also
cling to walls, which is helpful if he finds himself
falling off a cliff.
Ninja
Birdon
Birdons
are little round birds that usually wear a pilot’s
helmet. They can flap their wings to fly, and are one of
the few Helpers that don’t need to grab onto Kirby
when he’s flying.
Wing
Blade
Knight
Blade
Knights are fierce Dreamlanders that cover themselves in
armor and attack with swords! They’re pretty tough, so
be glad if you have them as a Helper. (Psst, here’s a
secret: Blade Knights are really cyclopses,
and that pink thing isn’t actually part of their
helmet… rather, it’s really a giant tongue! Maybe
that’s why they wear helmets…)
Sword
Bonkers
Bonkers
is a great big monkey (yes, monkey—there are no humans
in Kirby’s world!) in armor that swings around a giant
hammer. He’s a mini-boss, though, so you’ll have to
beat him up first before you can swallow him and make
him your Helper. He can use his hammer to hit wooden
switches in the ground. He’s one of the bigger
Helpers, though, so he can get stuck in small tunnels.
He’s also the only Helper that doesn’t have every
single attack that Kirby does—he can’t use Hammer
Throw.
Hammer
Bugzzy
Bugzzy
is a MASSIVE beetle with wrestling-type attacks. He’s
also a mini-boss, so you’ll have to beat him up first
before you can swallow him and make him your Helper.
This thing has some CRAZY attacks, but unfortunately I
don’t think they work too well on bosses… Also,
because of his big size, he can sometimes get stuck in
small tunnels.
Suplex
Burnin'
Leo
Burnin’
Leos look kinda’ like a blue version of Kirby with his
head on fire, but they’re not—their eyes are too big
to be Kirby’s eyes. (And I’m not quite sure if
that’s actually a fire on their head, since it
doesn’t go out when it jumps in water!) What’s
really interesting about these things is that while Fire
Kirby can’t light a fire underwater, they can! I’m sure you can
find a use for that when you might have to light a fuse
underwater…
Fire
Capsul
J
Capsul
J’s are… well… to be honest, I don’t know.
They’re either robots, or they’re some kind of
Waddle Dee or Waddle Doo with a space suit on. Maybe
they’re their own species? Who knows. Either way, they
attack by blasting themselves at their enemies.
They’re also one of the few Helpers that don’t need
to grab onto Kirby when he’s flying.
Jet
Chilly
Chillies
are living snowmen! Unlike Frosty, though, they won’t
be back again someday. :( Not if they take too much
damage, anyway. They slip and slide around the stages to
move. Whee!
Ice
GIM
GIMs
are spiffy little robots with a single paw, a single eye
(or maybe two eyes? I can’t tell), Sonic-style shoes,
and /\/\ /-\ |) y0-y0 5|<i11z!! (Five bucks if you
can read that.) Erm, yes. They use a giant yo-yo to
attack.
Yo-yo
Helper
Helper
is an odd little robot thing that will only appear when
Kirby’s flying through Nova with his Star Chariot. It
can fly around and shoot stars at enemies, but not much
more than that.
Star
Chariot
Knuckle
Joe
Knuckle
Joe isn’t exactly Dreamlander-like since he has legs,
but whatever he is, he’s cool!
This pointy-eared boy can fight pretty well, so be
thankful if you end up with him as your Helper!
Fighter
Parasol
Waddle Dee
Parasol
Waddle Dees, or Parasol Dees for short, are basically
average Waddle Dees that wield parasols. They can either
attack with their parasols or use them to drift around
lazily in the air…
Parasol
Plasma
Wisp
These
guys are big balls of electricity—er, plasma, or
whatever you wanna’ call it—with eyes and gloved
hands.These
guys can float freely around the stage! They’re also
one of the few Helpers that don’t need to hold on to
Kirby when he’s flying.
Plasma
Poppy
Bro. Jr.
Poppy
Bro. Jr. is a weird clown-like guy that likes to annoy
people by throwing bombs, chucking boomerangs, and
rolling around on giant apples. If he’s your Helper,
though, he’ll just throw bombs.
Bomb
Rocky
Rockies
are pretty much living rocks with eyes, feet, and a
headband. Like Stone Kirby, they can turn into various
heavy objects and slide down slopes! He can also hit
wooden switches that are stuck in the ground.
…Although they’re apparently very fragile, because
when they’re attacked, they shatter! Oh well, they put
themselves back together pretty quickly.
Stone
Simirror
Simirrors
are little Black Mages—er, Dreamlanders that have a
magic wand that can shoot out mirrors at their enemies.
It might not sound like much, but it’s actually one of
the more powerful Helpers, because those mirrors it
shoots out will cause any attack that their enemy makes
to bounce back at them! They’ll also do damage on
their own.
Mirror
Sir
Kibble
Sir
Kibbles are little round… things covered in armor.
What kind of things? I don’t know. Maybe they’re
puffballs or Waddle Dees, or maybe they’re their own
species! (...Or maybe they’re living suits of armor…
That would be odd.) They have a boomerang-blade attached
to their helmet that they can yank off and chuck at
nearby enemies.
Cutter
T.A.C.
T.A.C.s
are sneaky little catburglars (har har har) that like to
go around and steal your Helpers! If you get one as your
Helper, though, he can steal an enemy’s ability and
become that ability’s Helper—then turn back again!
So, these guys are pretty much every Helper packed into
one. Cool!
Copy
Waddle
Doo
AAAH!
CYCLOPS! These guys are kinda’ like Waddle Dees,
except they have two antennae and one massive eye that
shoots out laser beams. . . .Okay, maybe not quite
like Waddle Dees, but their name suggests that
they’re related. These guys can be helpful if you need
to hit a switch on the other side of a wall.
Beam
Wheelie
Wheelies
are living, one-wheeled motorcycles! Cool, huh? They can
only attack by rushing forward, though. However,
what’s cool about these Helpers is that Kirby can
actually ride them! Have ‘im hop onto the Wheelie and
he’ll become Wheelie Rider Kirby! Born to be wiiiild~
