Rick lives with some of his friends over in Whispy Woods, in an old tree called Acore. Rick himself is a rather arrogant type, but a nice guy who's helped out Kirby and his friends in some small ways in the past.

Though rarely seen due to his nocturnal nature, Coo is a wise and proud bird that has earned the respect of even lazy slackers like Tokkori! (Though that doesn't mean Tokkori listens to his advice...) Coo is very friendly and helpful, and more mature and levelheaded than some of those he spends time with. He appreciates having someone he can talk to on his own level, and those types are few and far between.

While considered stupid by many, this is hardly the case with this odd fish- Kine is quite intelligent, even able to read and write in ancient languages. But unfortunately for him he's also very naive and gullible. And also quite in love with a girl called Tiff. It was a romance that was never meant to be- being that he can't survive out of water and she can't survive in it, but Kine's persistent if anything. He's willing to do almost anything to win her affection- even striking shady deals with King Dedede. Love struck? Or just plain obsessive? You be the judge.

Whispy Woods is ruler of the forest of the same name, and fiercely protective of his home, attacking intruders with apples and piercing roots. He's a nice guy really, but overly suspicious at times- and easily fooled at others! Dedede has come close to fulfilling his goal of cutting down the forest to build his Royal Country Club more than once! Though he thought they were his enemies at first, Whispy is good friends with Kirby and the rest now- naturally Whispy is rather hard headed and doesn't always heed their advice.

A bird of legend with wings that block out the sun, DynaBlade appears in Dreamland every 100 years to lay her egg. When she appeared most recently, Dedede had the bright idea of framing Kirby to make it look like he'd eaten her egg, but thankfully all he did was hatch it. DynaBlade is quick to anger, and anything she perceives as a threat to her chick is in a lot of trouble- even if they're really just trying to help!

Like most babies, DynaBaby is an endless source of trouble. DynaBlade certainly has her wings full with this one. DynaBaby is quite prone to either getting kidnapped or just wandering off for its own little misadventures. Its also very attached to Kirby, seeing as he was the first thing it saw when it hatched. Flightless and awkward, DynaBaby barely resembles the majestic bird it will be someday. (It will apparently take 100 years for it to grow up! When does Dynablade sleep?)

Kabu can see the future. A mysterious stone statue in the aptly named Kabu Canyon, he appears as a guide to the people of Dreamland. He told them of the Emperor of Darkness, Nightmare, and the legend of a great Star Warrior who would save them all- Kirby of the Stars. No one knows the extent of his knowledge or how he knows all he does- but some of it at least was told to him by Meta Knight! In truth, Kabu himself is one of many, acting as a safe haven for Star Warriors. He's also the hiding place for Kirby's Warpstar.

At over 600 years old, Acore is the oldest tree in Whispy Woods, and a good friend of Whispy himself. Many animals make their home in his branches, who in turn protect him- though Acore tends to sleep for years or even decades at a time and probably doesn't notice!

These two make their home in Acore's roots. Did you know that Pon isn't a raccoon, but rather a 'tanooki', a raccoon-like animal native to Japan? There are many myths surrounding these animals, and you've likely seen statues or images of them before. (Though the way they're usually portrayed might not be totally appropriate for a kid's show. =P)

These two warthogs also live in Acore's roots, and you probably also recognize them as bosses from the Kirby's Dreamland series.

Not to be confused with Knuckle Joe, Joe the shark cruises the oceans around Dreamland, waiting for any hapless victims to fall into the water. Though Joe's not all bad- he's a friend of Kine's and is quite helpful at times, seeing as his favorite foods seem to be penguin and snail...
