Lololo and Lalala fly through
the castle to Dedede's throne room to await his orders. Dedede
wants Lololo to go to the fortune teller for him, but he wants
Lalala to stay and give him a shoulder rub. The problem with
this- Lololo and Lalala never split up! They refuse, and
Dedede says he'll kick them both out.
They voice their concerns to
Fumu, and aren't sure what to do. Bun argues with his mother
over studying in the meantime, leading the twins to ask an
important question: Who are their parents? Parm and Memu
panic, trying to say they came from the stork and other fairy
tales, and finally make the children go outside to play when
they press the issue further.
Parm and Memu had worried
they'd ask about their origins someday. When Fumu was an
infant, Dedede had given them two strange creatures that had
originally been a single demon beast called Lola. They hope
the twins will never find out... But Kirby overhears and
starts saying the name 'Lola' over and over! They try to quiet
him, even taping his mouth shut, but it's no use.
Dedede gets his fortune in the
meantime, and Escargon reluctantly reads it. It says Dedede
shouldn't let himself be conned by sweet-talk and show
restraint- but Dedede smacks Escargon and decides he'll get a
demon beast. Customer Service instantly sweet-talks Dedede
into buying a 'discounted' demon, KittariHattari. (Literally
'Cut and paste, so the dub name was fairly accurate!) It has
the power to mix up people's parts, and even comes with an
instructional video! Dedede can't pass up the low price of
four million deden and orders it up. The first thing he does
is sic it on Escargon, but it ends up chasing both of them-
switching their heads and bodies around!
Escargon and the king get their
proper bodies back, and it turns out KittariHattari is even
able to speak. Dedede decides to wreak some havoc on the
village with his new toy, mixing up Cappies with sheep and the
like. Rick and Tokkori get their heads and bodies switched, so
they decide to go find Kirby to beat the demon beast.
They find a thoroughly confused
Fumu and Bun, and Kirby who's mouth is still taped shut. He
gets bounced off the bumper of Dedede's jeep, and as he falls,
KittariHattari slices him in two! He becomes two tinier
Kirbies, except one is a green boy, and the other is an orange
girl with a boy on her head.
Lololo and Lalala rescue them
as KittariHattari chases them into the castle. The twins
realize they'll have to split up to keep the Kirbies safe.
After a long chase, they find themselves cornered. But
KittariHattari recognizes them- he was the one who split Lola
into two! Nightmare considered Lola useless, so he had him
split and sold Lololo and Lalala to Dedede, who gave them to
Parm and Memu to be their servants.
Surprisingly, Lololo and Lalala
are happy to hear that they're really one person. But Dedede
is still after them, so Lololo and Lalala take
KittariHattari's sun rod to hopefully put Kirby and themselves
back together. They and Fumu and Bun flee to a tower, and use
it to return Kirby to normal. Kirby inhales KittariHattari's
moon rod to become Cutter Kirby, and uses Cutter Boomerang and
Final Cutter to slice him in half.
Just as they're about to put
Lololo and Lalala back together, the remains of the demon
beast explode, destroying the sun rod in the process too. But
they're not sad, because they still have one heart even if
they're two people.
