Okay, time for advertizing. WWW.JARREDCHILI.COM Go there! Now! Okay, the questions. 1. When you answer guru questions, do you always know all the answers, or sometimes do you have to research? 2. Other than Kirby, what other video games does HAL make? Do they only do video games? 3. When you play as Meta-Knight in Nightmare in Dreamland (I think you can do this) what are your moves? Do you have abilites? 4.Do you know anything about the upcoming kirby game? 5. If pumpkin seeds are edible, is the goop inside the pumpkin edible? 6. Are you making a KWRPG3? 7. How many and what are the abilites in Kirby Air Ride? Ok, that's all. -jarredchili
KW: 1. Most of the times, I know the anwser, unless it's something, like "What song is number 4 on the Sound Test of Kirby Super Star," that's when I run the game and listen for myself, or such. 2. Hal made the Super Smash Brothers series, as you may know. Other than that and Kirby, they haven't made much recently. Back a long time ago they did many games, like Earthbound/Mother 2, Pinball 66, Eggerland/Adventures of Lolo, Arcana, Yuuyuu Chronicles, Assualt! Ponkotsu Tank, and much more. 3. Upward thrust, slash, dashing slash, downward thrust, slide, fly. 4. Kagami no Daimeikyuu? Yes, I know lots. 5. Everything is edible, the question is, is it good for you. 6. Yes. 7. 11. Sleep, Mike, Fire, Wheel, Wing, Plasma, Needle, Sword, Freeze, Tornado, Bomb.

Okay, the numbers in the Kirby 64 soundtest are number 2, number 61, and number 62. These songs appear in the soundtest but not in the game....It makes me wonder that if there's other stuff to the game I don't know about. Anyway, do you know where in the game do you hear these songs?
KW: Hmm...perhaps they were put in the game before it was fully programmed, but never found a place for them. After all, originally you were supposed to be able to play as Waddle Dee, Adeleine, and King Dedede, without the aid of Kirby. Plus, they could just be musical extras, like the one in Kirby's Dreamland 2.
BabyCharmander
Hilo, KW! How are you today? I have a quick question... Do we know the name of the Cubivore-like boss on the new Kirby game yet? Forgive me if this question has already been answered. I haven't been paying much attention to the new Kirby game forum, since it has too many spoilers in it...
KW: I know the names of everything in the new Kirby game. However, I'm afraid I don't know what boss you are talking about. *thinks* The boss names are King Golem, Moley, Kracko, Mega Titan/Titan Head, Gabriel, Wiz, Master and Crazy Hand. The Miniboss names are, Mr. Frosty, Bonkers, Phanphan, Air Roster, Bow Fighter, Fire Bat, Boxy, and Master Hand.
kirbygun
hi, KW. i got a lil' question for you.... WHAT THE HECK IS THE REAL ENGLISH NAME FOR THE NEW KIRBY GAME!!!!!!! just look at it.... -kirby & the great labyrinth of mirror -kirby & the labyrinth of mirror -kirby & the magic mirror -kirby & the amazing mirror -kirby &... kirby...kirb..kir..*faints*
KW: Well, the US release's name will be "Kirby and the Amazing Mirror" *blah*, but the translated version of the Japanese title is "Kirby of the Stars: The Great Mirror Labyrinth."
Cutter
In the new Kirby GBA game coming out, how do you now exactly how many powers there are? I mean, what if the jappenese site only showed a few sample powers? Also, are there any sprite sheets of the new game out there? Cause I wanna use the sprites for comics, and I DON'T want to use a ROM. Oh yeah, one more thing: YOU ROCK, KIRBYWARRIOR! And umm...SHADOW SUCKS! I LIKE WAFFLES!
KW: I don't rely on the Japanese site for my information. I make sure to check out all information myself until I am 100% sure I know what I'm looking for. Also, I wouldn't know where to find sprite sheets, sorry.
Micue
Um...I got a cuple of questions to ask. 1) In Kirby's Airride, the is an abbility when Kirby turns into an india-like thing. Is it called Tomahawk Kirby, Hawk Kirby, or just plain Bird Kirby? 2) I've seen screen shots of Kirby Star:Laybirinth of the mirror. You can change the color of your feet or is that just a customized screen chot. 3) In Kirby Star, is every kirby in its on stage in the same level? $0 Is Kirby a boy or girl?
KW: 1. Wing Kirby. 2. There is a color customization in the new game, but it's somewhat limited. 3. The different Kirbys can each go off as far as they want, into whatever levels they want. They don't have to be together. 4. I've answered this before.
Shadow Kitsune Kirby
When Meta Knight's mask is off, what color are his eyes? Are they yellow or white? It's hard to tell when there's only one line of pixels.
KW: When the mask is on, yellow, when it's off, white.
KirbyDude898
Hey. It's me again. Is there a picture of Paint Kirby anywhere on the KRR site?
KW: There is now.
Odin
Hi, KW! I've got a few questions for you:1. Do you think Hal will change Minimum Kirby to Mini Kirby for the US version of Kirby's upcoming game?2.Other than the Labyrinth game, are there any more new Kirby games in the makings yet? Thanx!!
KW: 1. Most likely. 2. No official word, just rumors.
Seacue
This is some things that I have wondered. 1-In Kirby's Air Ride, the vehicle called "Hydra". Is it considered to be a plant-thing, or a hurculese beetle? 2- Was Kirby made before or after the Pokemon stuff? Because that creature Jigglypuff looks alot like Kirby. 3- Is Waddle Dee a friend or foe? In Kirby 64, he helps Kirby but in the other games, Waddle Dee is an enemy. Oh yeah, and I'm working on my spelling.
KW: 1. The Hydra was inspired and build after the Hurculese Beetle. 2. Kirby was made waaaaaaay before Pokémon was even thought of. 3. It's very safe to say there are many Waddle Dees. It could just be that one Waddle Dee was good, unlike so many others we've seen.
Hammer
Hey I've got a question what ablity have bin in a Kirby Game more then 6 times?
KW: Spark, Cutter, Ice, Needle, Stone, Fire, Parasol, and probably one or two more.
Dr.Mario
when I was looking through the sheet music I noticed that the kirby's adventure level names were the same as the names in kiby nightmare in dreamland levels and the music was the same to so is kirby nightmare in dream land a remake of kirby's adventure?
KW: Yes.
Shadow Kirby
First off, I have no affiliation with the idiotic Shadow that is being an annoying retard. I've had this name sense I first came to the site. Now I've got one question: In K64 bewfore the O2 fight starts, you see him for a moment with an innocent happy looking face, that soon turns into his one big eye. This confusses me as I thought he was the ghost version of the last boss in KDL3 (wasn't his name "O"?) My question is, what is O2? Is he some angelic creature that Dark Matter possessed, or is he the ghost of "O"?
KW: 0^2 is most likely, as you said, the ghost form of 0, from Kirby's Dreamland 3, hence the name.
C-Kirby
Sorry, this must be pretty annoying for you. Anyway, yeah, that's the level.(Orange Ocean) I've done that before, but I can't get the Fire ability to work underwater. The answer's right under my nose, isn't it? p.s. SHADOW is a jerk. :P
KW: You are supposed to use Laser on the slant to bounce the laser into the water on the fuse.
patrick
is there any enimys(whatever)similare to T.A.C.?
KW: Droppy from the new Kirby game can steal your power, and depending on the power, he will transform into the enemy that holds the power, just like TAC.
Cheese
I don't remember Paint Kirby in Super Star...Not one bit, and I know Super Star like the back of my hand. There was no Paint Kirby...What's up with that? Is he in there or in a different version? Oh, and Shadow sucks.
KW: You must not know the back of your hand very well. Take a look.
Seacue
This IS kirby related!!! Anyway, is Kirby related th the Kirby vaccume cleaner?
KW: No. Here's the real reason he was named Kirby. Back some time ago, Hal was planning a new game for the Gameboy. It featured a pink creature that could inhale enemies. They named this creature "Popopo." Sad to say, Hal was in a financial crisis, and was not able to launch this game, due to lack of money, and not knowing if it would sell well. Well, to make a long story short, a lawyer of Hal, named Kirby, was able to get them back on their feet, and Hal was now able to release their game. To thank Kirby, they renamed "Popopo" to "Kirby," and launched the game that we now know as "Kirby's Dreamland."
patrick
how do you get the scoter ride on kirby air ride?
KW: In Air Ride mode, start the final lap in 4th place, and move to 1st place and win.
patrick
why is mk half bat and half knight? what kind of kirby games he was with wings?
KW: According to Smash Brothers Melee, his cape can turn into wings, though people still debate this. Meta Knight has had wings in Kirby Super Star, Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, Kirby Air Ride, and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror.
Kine the Genius
Kine here. It's about time I asked you a thing or two, there's a saying that "wise men" willingly learn from others instead of being a know-it-all. Many of my favorite Kirby games are actually the side quests, so most of my questions spawn from that area. Prepare yourself for quite a handful! 1. What does KIRAKIRA KIZZU mean, exactly? By this, I don't mean translate it (already done, "Sparkling/Glittering Kids"), but is it some odd metaphor, such as the stars are like Kirby's children? Or did the name just have a nice ring to it? 2. In Star Stacker, Kirby describes the fist as Dedede's. In the original, is it really his fist or a generic hand? It just seems odd Dedede would pop in to up the playfield when Tic Tac Jr. or Mr. Star are there. 3. Is there a real story behind Block Ball for the Japanese version? Both endings have way too much meaning to be just nothing. 4. Do you know of Sakurai's favorite side game, if any? Maybe one he payed special attention to, at least. 5. What about you? Do you have a favorite side game? 6. At the end of Dream Land 3 and throughout KIRAKIRA KIZZU, there are 3 rings on Pop Star. In 64, there are 2 again. Any reasons for this, of has the series "ended" at KK? 7. Last one, and it's pretty stupid, but Should Dedede be officially written as "Dedede" or "DeDeDe"? That's about it. I'd like to also thank you for working on this gurus section. I think you're doing the Kirby fans a great service helping them out like this. Share the wealth of knowledge, I always say. Later!
KW: 1. I'm guessing it's just saying the stars that you collect belong to Kirby, so they call them his kids. I really can't think of any other reason of why the games were called that. 2. Yes, it is Dedede's hand, weird it may be. They fixed that in the SFC version though where Tick Tock Jr. and Mr. Star jump instead of Dedede's hand appearing XD. 3. Not that I know of. 4. Not that I know of. I just know his favorite main game is Kirby's Adventure. 5. Hmm...I like Blockball and Star Stacker. 6. Yup. Kirby 64 takes place before Kirby's Dreamland 3 and Kirakira Kizzu. 7. I'm really not sure. We can't really get an official word from Hal, since they don't use capital letters in Japanese...
KirbyDude898
Sup' Kirby Warrior? You know the music in the background of the Dreamland battle arena in Super Smash Bros. (not melee)? In what game did this music first appear and where?
KW: Kirby Super Star, in course 1 and 3 of the Gourmet Race.
Apparently I totally owned those who doubted me on the importing issue. As well as shut SHADOW up for good. |
