Here we are with the first batch of Q&A!
Some of these have SPOILERS for future anime and game things, so they have been blacked out. How to view em? Simply highlight the text! Questions for Ivyna: #1: Name: Pishi the Penguin SPOILERS for final episode! Highlite to read A: Hm, good question. XD Well, first off MK seems to have lost his Warpstar, sometime between the time the other Star Warriors were all killed and when he arrived on Popstar. That or he's hiding it somewhere. This brings up the question of whether all Star Warriors can use their stars like Kirby does, or if Kirby's is special somehow. It's stated much more clearly in the original, but there are two groups they refer to- The Star Warriors and the Galaxy Fighter Team. However it's not really clear if they're different or just different names for the same thing. The most common theory is that people like MK and Kirby are 'true' Star Warriors who can utilize the power of the Warp Star, while others like Knuckle Joe's father, Garlude and Yamikage are part of the 'Milky Way, or Galaxy Fighter Team'- merely a group of brave soldiers facing Nightmare, using the symbol of the Warpstar. But, no one really knows for sure! But so far, Kirby has been the only one seen using his Warpstar in the fashion he does- and since we've never seen anyone else's Warpstar, we'll never know for sure. Yeah, bit of a complicated answer. XD Name: HDN A: Aha! Here's another of my functions: Dispelling stupid rumors. =P I get em all the time- people claiming to see the final episode, for example and giving me some stupid made up synopsis- um, I've seen the final ep, thank ya. XD Anyway, this is a big lie! XD Ep 60 is just 'Sacred Sword! Galaxia'. It was dubbed, things were undoubtedly changed but it was no more violent than any other episode. The episode was on a limited edition Japanese DVD though, but the english version was almost exactly the same as the original in terms of plot and all. Maybe your friend just got his/her info mixed up. =P Name: Mike Liotta 1: Ever played the first Kirby game? It's like that! XD Except in the English version they call it 'Mint Leaf'. Sweet Potato isn't really an 'ability'... Ya see, sweet potatoes give ya gas- and they give Kirby the hiccups! 2: Kirby speaks throughout the entire show, but he doesn't have much to say about beating Nightmare though. =P 3: Simple. I buy the Japanese DVDs. Mostly at www.cdjapan.co.jp and www.amazon.co.jp Name:
Mr. Purple A: Simple enough. XD You want the original order or the dub order? They're different at some points, ya see. =P Anyway, you can see a full list on my site here. (Though at the time I'm writing this I haven't updated it with the latest dub names.) www.ivynajspyder.com/Kirby/kirbyeplist.htm Name: Lisa A: So many people just don't get it. Kirby CAN speak, but Kirby is also a ~baby~ when the show begins. And like most babies, he really doesn't know that much yet. (But I bet you couldn't do HALF the stuff Kirby can when you were a baby! XD) But like I said, he CAN speak- he just speaks very little for various reasons. He just hasn't learned enough yet, or maybe he's just comfortable saying 'poyo'. But remember, he can speak, he just has to learn. =P However, many of the cases when he DOES speak are removed in the dub version. >=( In the original Kirby will say the names of his copy abilities and attacks sometimes, among other things. He sounds so cute, it makes me sad they cut it. Name: Fer A: Hello there! Hey, they have Kirby in Spanish too? I'd love to hear that. XD (I wonder what kind of accent they give Meta Knight. *BRICK*) Hm... Unfortunately I'm not really sure what you mean. See, the English dub version has different music from the original Japanese version, but I don't know what it has in the Spanish version. It could be the Japanese stuff or something completely new... Sorry I'm not sure. ^_^; But if it is different, it's because it can cost less for a company to make it's own crummy music than to buy the original. Name:
Neyo_the_Forgotten A: Eh? This question again? Er, I'm not sure what it means though, to be honest. XD Do you mean the 'poyo' stuff or the times he actually says things in the original? He talks whenever it suits him that's when. =P He's expressive enough without speaking anyway. Name: Emmet318 Q: Hey Ivana J. Spider. I know when Kirby transforms, he goes through a cool process in the show. For example, to become Bomb Kirby, Kirby jumps up, does a few frontflips, stands in battle position, gets bigger & bigger, explodes, and Bomb Kirby appears. But I forgot how Stone Kirby, Parasol Kirby, and Wheel Kirby do it. Can you tell me how "they" transform? Inform me as soon as possible. Thanks A: Why do so many people called me 'Ivana'? XD I swear, people mess up my online name as much as they mess up my real name! But anyway... Ya know, I should make movies of all the Kirby transformations I have. =D But to explain... For Stone Kirby, simple one. He spins and then his hat appears and Kirby (gray) jumps up into it. For Parasol he spins, and then a big parasol appears beneath him and spins him around, then he grabs it. And for wheel, if I remember correctly, a wheel zooms around Kirby or something... Yeah, I'll be sure to make lil transformation videos. =P Name: kirby krazy guy My name is IVYNA. I. V. Y. N. A. How HARD is this? ...^_^ Anyway. Um... no idea. A movie would be nice but I haven't heard any plans for one. I mean, every OTHER anime gets a movie eventually, so... XD 2:this is site related okay? but why hasn't anyone changed the caption contest yet? okiay bye! Because
I've been busy. =P Not possible. XD
Name: XCuber2 Q: Can you answer a question for me? WHY HAS KIRBY NOT RECEIVED A MOVIE YET!? I like the show. It's cool, but it still hasn't had a movie. The Pokemon series has had 5 movies and it's about to be 6! What about Kirby!? Can you tell me if there will be a movie? If you don't know, can you at least tell me if you think there will be one? (your opinion I mean) Like I said to the last guy- I haven't seen anything on it, but it's not outside the realm of possibility. Personally I'd prefer another season for the anime. XD Kirby's still a more obscure anime, but the show got good ratings in Japan.
Name: wobbuffet_dee Q: Here's a quiz question from Kirby: Right Back At Ya!: What animal species once invaded Cappy Town: Owls, sun fish, hamsters, or sheep? A: SUNFISH! And they're all after Tiff. =P Name: Chris Q: Could you e-mail me a summary of the ACTUAL 4-part ending to the series? 4kids screwed it up and put them out of order. Thanx. A: Hm... No. XD I don't give out big spoilers freely. Anyway, I've only seen the very final ep but I do know what happens in the others. Basically, the final episodes were the two part 'Crisis of the Warpstar', 'Takeoff! BattleShip Halberd!' '099- Destruction! Nightmare's Giant Fortress' and the final 'Fly! Kirby of the Stars!' 4Kids took 'Crisis of the Warpstar', made them 'Air Ride in Style' (UGH) and stuck them in the middle of the series to advertise the new game. O_o But that was supposed to be the beginning of the huge final conflict... I won't say much more though, unless when it ends here it gets messed up more. O_o Name: T.W Q: 2 well actually 3 things have been pleaging me, first off why is the music from the japanese version of the show change so rapidly in the english versrion? I've heard the music from both and the japanese score has more heart and emotion, why would they change it so rapidly, what was so wrong with it was it to pretty and dainty to push the action audience they were aiming for? Because, like I've said before, it's cheaper for the company dubbing to throw a generic cartoon score together on a computer synthesizer than it is to buy the rights to use the original music. Tis sad but true. (Most dubbing companies keep the original music, 4Kids is a yicky exception.) Another thing is Dedede, I've played the games and watch the show and for the life of me I can't figure out why Kirby irritates him to the point of ordering monsters that more often than not backfire on him. The way I see it Kirby just wants a peaceful life and to only fight when he has to. I mean what has he done for all of this and then there's tokkori I just can't stand him! All he does is make fun of everything and everyone, in the first 3 episodes he did everything to get rid of Kirby and then takes away the house everyone made for him, well the second one. He so suclunetly said that the two switched homes but I seriously doubt that. Wow, you're more ranty than I am. XD Let's see... As for why Kirby irritates Dedede... Mmm, this is something that wasn't made very clear in the dub... The dub sometimes makes Dedede seem way more evil than he is. In reality, he's just a greedy bully like in the game- and he's quite jealous of how popular Kirby is. At first, he wasn't trying to get rid of Kirby- actually he was just jealous that Kirby was the hero. So at first he was ordering monsters so try and show Kirby really couldn't save everyone! Dedede wanted to be seen as the hero instead! (He's not very good at it.) But of course Kirby still could beat the monsters, so then he was trying to just run Kirby out of Dreamland. Later on he more or less gives up on that even, and has other reasons for ordering monsters that don't always have anything to do with Kirby. Like if it's too hot out. =P (And usually- though the dub tends to change this- Nightmare sends monsters to get Kirby himself, Dedede has nothing to do with it.) Dedede actually doesn't really like to see Kirby badly hurt. Yeah, it's funny to see him get bounced around, since that doesn't really hurt Kirby, but there have been times where Kirby really is hurt and Dedede looks upset about it. It's all fun until someone really gets hurt. =P And don't diss Tokkori, man! Tokkori is awesome. XD (Kirby kicks his feathered butt in one of the cut eps. =P) He thinks just because Kirby can't avidly express himself he can just push him around which is maddening. If you can explain this I ask for whatever info I can get. Whether or not Kirby can express himself (which he does quite well, thank you very much) doesn't have a lot to do with it. =P Hope I explained it okay.
Name: A foolish person! ...This is not an anime question. DIE. >=O
Name: Luc Q: Is there a way to know when certain episodes will repeat? A few great episodes have come and gone, and I need to know when I can record those! Help! Well, all I can suggest is checking the TV Listings! They're showing two episodes of Kirby each week now, and the second one is a rerun so it might be one ya wanna see! I use http://tvlistings.zap2it.com/ myself. =D
Name: Alice2 Q: What all did 4Kids change? How old are Tiff and Tuff? ...You want me to list what they changed? O_o Well, I am working on a huge section that goes into as much detail as I know on what was changed though, which is more than most people think... Basically, the music is changed, voices, dialogue, some personalities are altered, some of the animation is changed, even the sound effects. It's crazy, man! Ages? Nothing official, but it's easy to make an educated guess. I'd say Tiff is around 12-14, while Tuff is probably 8-10.
Name: Jarredchili Q: In the show, are Kirby's friends from KD3 in there? If you mean Nago, Pitch and Chuchu, no. It's just Rick, Coo and Kine.
Name: Rumi No, not officially. =P But it is suggested that he's very, very old. I mean, if it would take Kirby 200 years to mature, and you assume they're about the same species... Well, he's older than 200, we know that then. =P But like I said, nothing is for sure... Name: Giovanni Q: Ok, on Ep.60, Kirby uses Galaxia to become Galaxia Kirby. Why doesn't MK kill everything in sight with it? You saw how Kirby killed the beast with the green beam of light. Why doesn't MK do that? It would make things a lot more interesting. Because MK doesn't do things like that. Stupid question alert! Next! XD Name: Koichi_Saiyuki I all ready answered these. =D That's all for this time, kiddies! |
