The Gameboy Title Screens I've played through the Japanese versions so many times, I honestly can't find much of a difference besides text and the title screen. There are a few minor graphical changes, very minor things, but then that makes it more strange that they changed it. Here are screenshots from the English version, and by it's side the Japanese.
