 | More Birthday Celebrations! |
Good news, Resorters! On September 1 at PAX Prime in Seattle, 536 Kirby fans teamed up and shattered that world record. The previous record was only 304! Here is a photo of all of the participants. Great job, everyone!
Continuing Kirby's birthday celebrations, Nintendo is now having a contest to see who Kirby's biggest fan is. Here, you can submit your proof... it can be almost anything, so get creative!

 | Kirby's 20th Anniversary Bubble Gum Group at PAX |
Nintendo has announced today that they are going to try to break a Guinness World Record on September 1 at the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle. Since this year is Kirby's 20th anniversary, they are calling as many Kirby fans as they can get to one room to blow bubbles with gum simultaneously. Participants will not only (maybe) be a part of a Guinness World Record, but there will also be random prize giveaways for participants, including Kirby's Dream Collection, which won't be released until two weeks AFTER the event!
I encourage anyone that will be attending PAX to come contribute to this fun event! For the full details, see the full story below.
I'm also doing a promotion of sorts there, if you can find me there and mention KRR, I'll have a few Kirby themed goodies to give out. I'll be dressed in a Kirby's Dream Band pink shirt. Good luck!

The folks over at Game Art HQ have put together a fan art collection for Kirby's 20th birthday. I recognize some of the names involved in this, so thank you for contributing to this wonderful collection of pictures.
Thanks to Ray for showing me this.

 | Dream Collection Special Edition lineup confirmed! |
Japan's Coro Coro magazine recently revealed the games that will be part of Kirby's Dream Collection! They are as follows:
Kirby’s Dream Land (Game Boy) Kirby’s Adventure (NES) Kirby’s Dream Land 2 (Game Boy) Kirby Super Star (SNES) Kirby’s Dream Land 3 (SNES) Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (N64)
Pretty solid lineup. I would've liked to have seen Super Star Stacker, since we never got that in the US, but this is a great collection regardless.
The game will also come with a soundtrack CD and a booklet of some sort (an art book, perhaps?). I'll post more details as they come in.
Thanks to FighteRKirby for letting me know about this.
edit 6/13: The collection will also have all-new minigames of some sort.

 | Kirby Anniversary Collection gets name, release month |
That Kirby 20th anniversary collection we've heard talks about is now officially called Kirby’s Dream Collection: Special Edition. It will be released in the US in September. This news comes from Nintendo representatives at E3 this week.
With such a short time until its release, we should be hearing about which games are on it soon. We'll let everyone know as soon as we find out!

 | New Club Nintendo Rewards |
| Nintendo has changed the Club Nintendo rewards around today. The reason I'm posting about this is because one of the new ones that has become available is Kirby Super Star! If you have a Wii you can download the Virtual Console version of it by trading 150 Club Nintendo coins. It's still fun! Some people even prefer it to Super Star Ultra.

 | Kirby's Block Ball gets 3DS eShop release! |
| For everyone with a 3DS out there, Kirby's Block Ball has been added to Nintendo's eShop (in the US). With a wonderfully catchy soundtrack and simple but fun gameplay, it's definitely worth the $3 asking price. I'm under the impression that many people skipped over this one back in the day, but now's your chance to pick it up again!
