Released in 1992 for Game Boy,
this was Kirby's debut game. Kirby didn't have any special
powers in the game, but it was unique in the fact that he
swallowed and spat out his enemies, or ate them - leaving
much room for potential.
Greedy King Dedede
has stolen all the food from
the Dreamlanders and now
Kirby has to get it all back
before they starve.
There are four good sized levels
in which Kirby must eat and
spit his way through. Cute
graphics and interesting
characters make this a fun
packed game.
The game was intended
to be for beginners, in
which they could beat the
game and see the ending.
While it may be for beginners it does have a few
extra elements that make it fun. The bosses are each
different in the way they must be defeated and when you reach Mt. Dedede you must fight them all over
again. If you beat the game
once, you get the extra
game, which is harder. Kirby's
Dream Land is definitely a
classic, and it topped
Nintendo sells charts for
weeks.
