In
1993, the second Kirby game in the series, Kirby's
Adventure, Kirby starred in his one and only NES game. The game revolutionized a lot of different
game play features - diversity, options, challenges and
was still able to appeal to all ages.
The games was so
popular, Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland is actually a
graphically and sound enhanced re-make of Kirby's
Adventure for GBA!
For some, it
may not be exciting to play a remake of an old game, but
Nightmare in Dreamland is so fresh and glossy. Although
there are many differences, there are also many
similarities and if you were a big Kirby's Adventure fan,
you'll recognize the levels and gasp. What will be new to
a lot of new players, is the 20+ abilities Kirby can
possess, with abilities some will have never seen before
(UFO, Tornado, High Jump, etc.)
With the
Kirby Cartoon airing on Fox 11, Nightmare in Dreamland
will expose a new audience to where Nightmare originally
started - by terrorizing the Dreamlanders. However, King
Dedede of course isn't too far from this plot, as he's
stolen the star rod that allows the Dreamlanders to have
peaceful dreams. What is King Dedede's motive? That's what
Kirby would like to know, how exactly will the story
unfold?
As Kirby
travels through 7 different colorful worlds with
interesting and cutting edge graphics, there is funny and
cute characters and a memorable soundtrack. As he's
setting forth to understand and piece together not only
the star rod, but the mysterious evil that is threatening
his peaceful world. Kirby's Adventure and Nightmare in
Dreamland are classic and a personal favorite here at
Rainbow Resort. After all, this game inspired the creation
of this website and still does today. ^_^
