Anywho, my thought for the franchise in 2010. Kinda at a 'whatever' point. I think Kirby's going to go downhill... maybe. It might make a come back.

Mindless ranting. So, you think they had something going on with the free-roming in Kirby Air Ride? Or no, not really? I personally think it might become something better... or something worse. I can't tell.
Another question is, you think they should actually make a 3D free-roming Kirby game? Or just stick with side-scrollers?

But in all honesty Kirby will probably be nonexistant in six months and hell if KAR wasn't a toss-away game.

If you want a free-roaming game, buy a slinky.

Shiro: i think if it went to free-roaming it would pretty much kill the entire franchise. for example, look at sonic

Diddgery: I am tired of side-scrolling Kirby platformers when they could give us a free-roaming Super Mario 64 game if they wanted to!!

RMD: I don't know what they were planning with KAR. But Sakurai left over it, so whatever. And I really dunno, either way is fine if you ask me as far as that goes. 2.5D platformers have their own sort of charm I've admittedly gotten used to.

In 2010? Hmmmm..... well, in that whole time, I think there'll be one, maybe 2 really good Kirby games. Then it will delve into remakes and re-releases of the good SNES games. kirby'll pobably still be in SSB, seeing as he's a HAL character and all.
So, it's evidenced by Mailbag 38 that Asotoku or Dale or one of you guys (its kinda hard to remember the difference between you people, you tend to answer in almost exactly the same fasion) hates Kirby. So... why are you on a Kirby fansite, then? I was somewhat suprised that someone on a Kirby fansite wasn't a Kirby fan.
Also, what do you people think of the Mii channel? Personally, I think it's lacking. I can't make Ichigo's bright orange hair, I can't have them fight eachother in a Mii colleseum, and I can't make my Sepiroth Mii kill all the other ones. And there's no cutscenes when I delete a mii. I'd like to see one being dragged into hell by my glove-cursor.

Asotoku: I don't hate Kirby, I just don't play it. I was originally only in the IRC channel, as a bunch of people I knew went there. I joined the forums because everyone talked about them, and it all escalated from there. As for the Mii Channel, it is very lacking. Well, I find the Wii itself lacking right now. Since Twilight Princess there has been nothing entirely worth it. I'm still waiting for Super Paper Mario to be released at some point. Assuming it'll be any good.

I belive the kirby franchise will fall, just like how sonic fell.
I'mean after all, it's too obvious that the kirby wii game thing will come out in 2010, or at least 2009, because the game get's delayed to many freaking times, therefore making the kirby community stop giving a crap about Kirby Wii.

Asotoku: As long as a game is coming out, people will still follow it. Look at Duke Nukem Forever.

RMD: Oh, whatever! I agree with game delays. Not just for Kirby though, but so many games. I didn't buy Twilight Princess because I found the game delays meant the game had to be awesome. When it became 8.8 I said screw it, it's Zelda nostalgia crippling Nintendo fans. Similarly, I have little patience with a 2.5D platformer being delayed and then moved to an entirely new console. It had better be awesome or I won't buy it at all. :\

This theme is the BEST THEME EVER for a mailbag. No really, I'm not being sarcastic.

In 2010, the series will be a bigger franchise than Mario. Of course, that will only happen if Meta Knight becomes the star of the games. We'll have META KNIGHTS ADVENTURE and MK AIR RIDE. Totally awesome titles like that. Kirby will be like an unlockable character because he's fat.

.....for your theme for mailbag 39 thing, I do think the Kirby franchise will still exist. It'll be as fun as it was on the SNES, and, I also think that Meta Knight may have his own game in the future (me and a friend are making up ideas for that :)

I hope Kirby does still exist in 2010... I'd like to see Masahiro Sakurai working on Kirby once again, Sakurai's directed Kirby games are the best, I think. (for RMD, KDL3 is the best non-Sakurai Kirby game... was it non-Sakurai?) And I want the anime to stay FAR from the Kirby games. I can't stand that "aint it kool if fumu and tuf are in games" stuff.

The Kirby franchise in 2010? Interesting question. No, I don't really see much fun ahead for the future games part of that-personally, I'd rather play the older games like Kirby Super Star. But I'd definitely say it would exist.
