Debageldond:
I’ll admit that the first time I saw Kirby was in Super Smash Bros. I was ten years old at the time, and I was at my friend’s house. I remarked about his cuteness and I probably used him a couple of times. Being as it was that I didn’t have an N64 at the time, I was terrible at SSB, so I couldn’t differentiate well between characters.
Fast forward a few months. I was given a gift certificate to FuncoLand (one of the stores that merged to form GameStop, if anyone else remembers), and I was dying to spend it on a used Game Boy game. I was really after the GB port of Marble Madness, which was, and remains to this game, my favorite game of all time (although the BG port is pretty lousy). To my disappointment at the time, they didn’t have it, but I still wanted to buy a game since a visit there was pretty rare in those days. I looked through the glass in the counter at the many racks of Game Boy games, and came upon Kirby’s Dream Land. I remembered him from playing SSB months earlier, and I decided to give the game a shot.
Of course, I beat the game in one try, but I loved it to bits. I proceeded to beat it many more times over the next week or so, admiring how cute and fun the game was. Then I got curious, so I looked so I could find other Kirby games. When I searched online, I naturally found KRR, where I learned all about other Kirby games. Soon thereafter I played Kirby’s Adventure, which instantly became my favorite Kirby game. I loved the idea of abilities, and I remember remarking to myself how dull it was compared to Super Mario Bros.
I was able to borrow Kirby’s Dream Land 2 from a friend a few weeks later, and played through that as well. Eventually, I played many more Kirby games (including Kirby 64 after finally getting an N64 of my own), and Kirby has been my favorite series ever since. I credit so much to Kirby and KRR, I doubt my life would be anything like it is no without either. I owe so many friendships and happy days to that spontaneous decision at FuncoLand when I was 10, the most important being my relationship with my girlfriend, who I love very much. We make so many decisions each day, some that turn out to be inconsequential, others that turn out to change our lives forever. For me, that decision to buy Kirby’s Dream Land falls under the latter, and I feel very fortunate in that regard.

I've always loved "cute" things, but things like Hello Kitty were too dainty and some things were just so so SO cute they were... painful. I always loved stars, and dreamy landscapes that were dark. So it will probably sound weird that when I first got into Kirby, he was in black and white. No, Kirby's Dreamland wasn't my first videogame -- it was Kirby's Adventure. My best friend at the time had just gotten her first NES. We were both so behind, everyone had already owned one for years. Then, her birthday came and she called me hysterically excited with news that she got some new games and I just had to come over and play them with her. She got four of them: Some random shooting game, Trog, Monster Party, and Kirby's Adventure.
She had a very old TV in her room that was only black and white, but that hardly bothered us. She was very addicted to the shooting game, but I remember being bored and thumbing through a magazine while she played. We played Trog, because it was two player, but Kirby's Adventure just seemed to be an after thought -- she said she played it once and didn't really care for it. She said it was "cute", but she liked the shooting game more. I remember looking at the box art, and there was something strangely appealing about it. I think I even remember seeing the commercial for it on TV, but I just never bought NES games back then, as my parents never gave me things like that unless it was a reason for celebration (and Christmas was still six months away). After being left alone with her game system (I spent the night) I loaded it up and started playing Kirby's Adventure.
In black and white, I was immediately sucked into this dreamy little world where a cream puff was trying to save everybody's dreams. Even in black and white, the combination of abilities and unique characters and levels kept me transfixed on playing. I probably didn't get beyond Ice Cream Island at her house, but I was sure to go home and tell my parents every waking minute how wonderful this game was.
My parents weren't exactly rich when I was younger, my dad was going through a career change and I pretty much gave up on the idea of owning my own copy until Christmas or my birthday. As I was going to bed that night, my parents called me into their room and my dad pulled out Kirby's Adventure from under the covers. I swear I jumped on their bed screaming and I ran around in circles. I don't care how silly that makes me sound, I was so happy and touched that my parents went out of their way to get that for me. I had school the next day, but forget that! I spent most of the night absorbed into this colorful world and I adored Kirby.
Playing the game in color was SO much better, but even in black and white it was just as wonderful. I remember being so frustrated (and feeling stupid) that I could not beat Kracko... until I figured out I needed super jump to reach the top. I loved the airship levels, grabbing the UFO ability, and I loved the icy levels of Orange Ocean. I remember loving the music, and thinking the level names were so adorable. I remember being taken back by Meta Knight, and even being intrigued when his mask cracked in two. There was a complex depth beneath the whole game, but unlike most games, it didn't use words to explain. But it was when I reached Rainbow Resort, that I was really taken with this game. The levels were so dark and starry, with beautiful colors and dreamy music. The final boss of the game, of course, was the ultimate surprise and it only increased my passion and interest for Kirby. I remember one night I made a new game file and played the WHOLE game in one night. I also made it a personal mission to go back and find every hidden switch for all my save games.
There was no GameFaqs or IGN around, so I had no idea that other Kirby games might even exist. If Toys R Us didn't carry it, I didn't know about it, and my store was in the process of moving. I visited my friend's house, and I was talking about Kirby's Adventure and to my excitement her brother went in his room and came back out with his copy of Kirby's Dreamland. He let me borrow it, and I took it home and I swear I beat it in what felt like only an hour or two, but I played through it over and over again.
To this day, Kirby's Adventure is still my all time favorite game, although my copy has long been retired with the death of my NES. So that is how I got into Kirby, and to think, I never would have known about Kirby if I was curious enough to play the game with the pretty box art. It's scary to think about all the people I never would have met, or the things I would have done if it wasn't for Kirby. I don't want a tattoo, but if I ever considered one, something I would never change my mind about would be Kirby. Even as newer and supposedly better games come out, I am still content with playing Kirby's Adventure. I can't think of a Kirby game I don't like.. well Dreamcourse is frustrating, but hey even Kirby has um, bad periods. I will always love Kirby, and to me it is not a passing phase that comes and goes, but something I will adore forever.

so, i found KRR-site! i discovered some about Kirby, that wassed now this: 98 Kirby-fan!
thanks!
kannon_kirby:
It all started when I was seven. I had an SNES, my first game system, and had beaten my Super Mario land to bits. I was awfuly bored during that time. Christmas finaly rolled around and my parents have a tradition of letting me pick out one of my presents. We went to a hobby store and they had a display case full of SNES games. I spotted a game that pictured a little pink figure sporting a goofy hat and holding a short wand. The figure made me laugh so, I got the game. As soon as I started playing I was amazed! There were many things to do and see! Pretty backgrounds, colorfull levels, challenging bosses, the works! So after many years of playing Kirby Super Star and it's predecessors, I finaly learned about this site that respects all things Kirby, Kirby's Rainbow Resort. I loved it! So from then on Kirby has alwas had a spot in my heart, since Kirby Super Star.
COLLiSION: When I was little, about 4ish I started an obsession with video games. In fact, I learnt to read from Zelda: Ocarina of time! It was only when I was about 7 that I picked up my first Kirby game, Kirby 64. I loved the game and I still, do. I remember being petrified of Waddle Doo. XD
I was also lucky to be the kid of two ebayers. :3 I got my Kirby plushie, then later on, a meta knight, waddle dee and king dedede plush for my b-day. I was pretty happy. It was only recently when I got into subbed kirby- I originally became jealous of america since they had the anime (haha imagine that!) and one day I was looking around on kirby sites when I came across this forum- I was only 9! ;o I soon after left, as I had became a habbo addict (worse place ever- I lost more than £26 pounds thanks to an inconsiderate scammer) and came crawling back, after I had became obsessed with my kirby plushies again. <3 Probably won't leave for a while! I actually think I may have left cuz I couldn't bother to wait for some episodes.
Raphael the Raven:
I got into kirby because I looked like food.
...and now for a serious answer!
I was...I dunno, maybe 5 or 6 when I got an NES. One of the first games I played on it (other than the obvious ones like Mario and Zelda) was Kirby's Adventure. I always had fun with this game probrably because it was the only NES game I could beat. But my parents went insane one day because I wasn't playing with my other christmas presents (although it was the christmas after the one I got my NES) and threw away my NES.
I got an N64 the next Christmas. I didn't play another Kirby game until Kirby 64 came out. I spent most of my time with the sound test (like I still do). But it wasn't good enough to buy. I also got every kirby game made after that but...
I truly became obsessed with Kirby when I bought DL and DL2 for 5 bucks each. Those games were (and are) amazing and were as good as Kirby's Adventure (maybe not as good?).
Also, I just have to say that Kirby Canvas Curse's sound test saved me from going insane when I had to go on some lame Carnival Cruise. So I was almost forced to be obsessed with Kirby.
Currently, I'm mostly waiting for the Virtual Console Kirby games (Wii Kirby as well if Hal can break the main game-side game-main game etc. tradition)

Heh...I have 4Kids to thank for getting me into the Kirby series, to some extent. Y'see, back in May or April of 2005 (yes I was a little late!), in the days when I still liked Winx Club and Sonic X, I was browsing the 4Kids website and came across the section with the online episodes, and noticed the section for Kirby. I had seen episode previews for Kirby on their channel before, and I thought it looked like the dumbest thing ever. Nevertheless, I decided to give the show a chance. I watched the first ep on the list, the ninja one, and that was my very first taste of Kirby. I only thought it was okay. A couple weeks or so later, I tried showing it to my sister because we were both bored, and I found myself liking it a little more than before. I still didn't get the strange giant duck (yes I now know he's supposed to be a penguin) and his talking snail, as well as the strange blue ball in the cape, but I started to think that maybe this wasn't so bad. So I watched the other episodes in the list, and I became hooked, as well as obsessed with Meta Knight. Suddenly I was watching those six episodes and doodling Kirby and MK whenever I had the chance. I didn't mind the dub, since I didn't know that there was anything better. I didn't even know it was an anime. Eventually I decided to look for any fansites or info on Kirby I could find through Google. At first I just looked through sites like TVTome and stuff, but then came the fateful day I came across this site. I fell in love with it, and this is where I learned of the video games.(Took me a while, didn't it?) Eventually, I played one (a ROM of Kirby's Dreamland) and fell in love with the series all over again. I began lurking here on the boards in early August of 2005 (I told you I've been lurking a while) when I found the link to the Twilighters topic on the main site. I learned a ton more about Kirby and his world through here, as well as learned a lot and matured a little, even if I wasn't actually posting. I would have joined a lot earlier if it weren't for the email address thing, but that's another story. I have Kirby to thank for a lot of things, and he remains my favorite Nintendo series to date, even if my obsession has died down over the years.
Casiana1:
Well okay, I'll give this a shot...
The first game my sister and I ever owned with Kirby in it is Super Smash Bros. Meelee. Until we bought the game, we both thought that Kirby was extremely lame. To us at the time, he was just a stupid little pink ball who could suck up enemies. We thought that ability was really stupid (forgive me, Kirby!!! ).
After we got the game though, both of us (particularly my sister) started playing the game as Kirby. We slowly began to realize how totally CUTE he was, and how he was a pretty decent playable character. Several months later, my sister got the "Nightmare in Dreamland" gameboy game for her birthday, and we both became hooked on it. Before long, we could hardly believe that we ever though that the adorable little creampuff was lame.
When I was about twelve years old, my sister and I saw the Kirby anime for the very first time on Fox Kids. We had heard a rumor from Nintendo Power magazine that there was a show about Kirby on TV Saturday mornings, so we decided to check it out. The first episode we ever saw was the one where Chef Kawasaki's teacher came to visit for real, not when a monster was disguised as him (Chitake? I don't remeber his name ). We both thought the episode was totally cute and funny, and soon, we started watching the anime every Saturday morning. I became more and more interested in the plot and characters of the story, and I eventually started looking up websites on the show. That's how I eventually found this site.
Now several years after we first became interested in Kirby to begin with, I'm still a HUGE fan of the anime and the games, mainly the anime. I've started writing fanfics based on certain episodes, and I've created over a dozen new characters to go along with them. When I first became interested in Kirby, I never had any idea that I would like it as much as I do now, or that he and other characters would inspire so many fanfics from me. That's my story.
SonicKitsune:
I heard that the anime was coming on the Fox Box (before it was 4KidsTV) and then I thought, "Hey, I think I've seen this guy before!" So I went to Hollywood Video or some game rental place like it and got Kirby 64. So, of course, I was confused when the anime finally came on, because the game I rented had a halfway beaten file on it, so I was watching the movies and saw how all the enemies became friends with Kirby, and I saw the show on that fateful Saturday, and was confused as heck.
I thought it was cool how the octopus monster whose name escapes me at this moment stripped all of the flesh off of the sheep and left them clean. I was hoping that the monster would attack the farmer, too. I also thought that "Tiff" needed to give Kirby the star thing or else he would turn green and die or something. Then he was flying on it and copied the Fire thing and I saw his head on fire. Then the monster exploded and the castle exploded, I think. I haven't seen it in a while. I thought that the king DeDeDe would keep getting pets and then he would feed them something to turn them into a monster. And at the end, I was thinking that he would just go to different planets each episode, like Kirby 64, until he was shot down again. I thought it was cool.
Then I ended up getting Kirby Air Ride after saving for a GameCube, which was my first game for it alongside Star Wars Rebel Strike and the Legend of Zelda Collection that came with it, which I thought (and think) was fun because it goes really fast and you can copy Fire and Wheel and things for periods of time. And I found this site eventually and looked at all of the game sections and things. I eventually joined here after trying to find a Kirby forum. I started in forums at the 4KidsTV site, but grew up and became less of a newbie. I then went to some Sonic forums but left because of their server issues and went to a few Nintendo-themed forums after Nintendo's own crashed my computer.
So that's how I rediscovered and got involved in Kirby, plus some rambling.
Xartarin:
It was a long time ago when I found out about Kirby. A long time ago. It started when me and my friends were participating in an online RP, much like "The Nintendo Game" in Dynablade Arcade. One of my friends chose a character named Kirby. When I asked who this character was, he said he could fly, and eat lots of things. I imagined some kind of Megaman-looking character with a jetpack and a mouth as big as that kid in that weird Honeycome Cereal commercial. Eventually, I saw a commercial for Kirby Tilt n' Tumble, and wondered what it was. By some means I can't recall, I found what Kirby was, and greatly anticipated a chance to play his games. Eventually, Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland was about to come out, and I needed a GBA, and fast. Through matters I'd rather not discuss, I got a GBA, a shiny silver one, and the whole reason for buying it was to play KNiDL. Eventually the Anime came, and I bought more and more games. Kirby, like some kind of lovable parasite, had worked his way into my life, and was now imposed in my eyes as the greatest Nintendo character I ever laid eyes on. I knew, then, that Kirby's was the only video game series that I would vow to collect.
GoldKirby:
I have been a Kirby fan ever since I played the first Kirby's Dreamland. After I had beaten my first game, Kirby's Dreamland, when I was six years old, I became hooked. I got any Kirby game I could find online, and, eventually, I got ALL of them, other than KiraKira Kizzu. I have played all the games, and I set up my own Kirby collection in my room, about 3 years ago, and it is growing drastically. (Not ever as good as Ivy's, though...) The anime is my favorite part about Kirby. It's just so unique apart from all of the other ones...
Izzyisme:
It all began at my friend Halyn's house. My sister and I would always play Duck Hunt and Super Mario Brothers with her on her NES. Everything changed one day. I was looking through her pile of games, pushing aside Tiny Toons and Batman, when I came across a very strange game. It was titled, "Kirby's Adventure." When I questioned her she said that it was too hard and I shouldn't try it. I begged and pleaded, thinking that a game with a pink puffball on the cartridge would be easy. She caved in, allowing me to place the game inside the Nintendo Entertainment System. I remember when the game first started up. I watched the opening sequence as a mysterious writing implement drew the game's protagonist. I also recall that when I chose a file, I was able to watch a funny sequence in which Kirby was lounging on a beach chair, only to be attacked by a monster from his thoughts.
I didn't need the instruction booklet. I caught on quickly. Lo and behold, I was absorbing powers and fighting monsters. I remember trying to use Ball, only to die repeatedly. I've always thought it to be useless, until I began playing the game on the Virtual Console.
From then on, Kirby became my favorite video game character. I wanted a Kirby game so much, that I refused my Dad's offer to get me Tilt n' Tumble for my Gameboy Color, complaining that it didn't have the original Kirby formula. My dad, being the wonderful father that he is, actually went on to Ebay and bid for Kirby's Dreamland 2. That's how I was introduced to Dark Matter, the animal helpers, and some of the bosses from the Kirby series. Mr. Shine and Mr. Bright were almost impossibly difficult, but I defeated then along with King Dedede and Dark Matter. From that point forward, I have not stopped playing Kirby games.
Jello:
It all started when I was 7 and my neighbor gave me a green gameboy pocket with Kirby's pinball land. It didn't come with the instruction booklet so I had no idea what to do! I eventually lost the crummy green gameboy and started visiting my cousin and stuff. He has a N64 and we rented games for it every week. one time we rented Kirby 64 and I was hooked. I later got a game system of my own (a GBA SP) and got Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland. It was amazing! I didn't even know it was a remake of Kirby's Adventure but I loved it! I beat the final boss and stuff and got most of the switches activated but I could never find the last switch! i gave up and lost the game pak after a while as I did with pinball land. But a couple years later, I got Kirby and the amazing mirror! that was one of the best Kirby games I have ever played! Of course i wouldn't be able to beat it if it wasn't used with some progress on it but who cares? it was sweet! but I beat the final boss and stopped playing. But I didn't lose it this time. some time in between Nightmare in dreamland and the amazing mirror, I got Kirby air ride from some kid for $10! That was a good price. I started playing it and fell in love with it and stuff. and since there isn't a final boss or anything I still play it today. Recently I got Kirby squeak squad but I already beat it and completed speed run mode in 3 hours.
I found this place through a link to a music file on the main site. I figured that if this place had a bunch of awesome music files, it would be cool to look at it up close. So I backspaced the file name and found myself in Kirby's rainbow resort. I read articles about Kirby for hours. After that, I put the site in my favorites list. Shortly afterwards I clicked on the link that led to these forums and decided to join.
A couple days later as I was reading more articles on the main site, I found out about a bunch of other kirby games that I never even heard about. They were all for outdated systems and stuff and I longed to play them. But then I found the solution. The Wii would be coming out soon and I heard that it would have a thing called a "virtual console". Apparently it could play a bunch of old outdated games without being illegal. So I told my mom that i wanted a Wii for Christmas. It took until the second half of January to get my Wii but I eventually got it and stuff. I don't have a point card yet but once I do get one I'm gonna get Kirby's adventure and Ocarina of time (the main reason I wanted to get a Wii). I will continue to play kirby games until I lose my hands. Then I will play using my feet.
iamthekirby:
Well, it all began back when I was... uh... 8. I was surprised when I saw a big, round pair of stars one night, and they looked just like Kirby! The next daya t my friends house, I immediatly went to the N64. We played SSB, and I always chose Kirby. I'd also choosse Mario, Luigi, and everyone else besides Samus. Time after time after time, I owned him with Kirby. Mario a few times, but mostly Kirby.
Then, I was interested in the GBA. I got Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland immediatly. It was great! Then I saw the anime! It was funny. Then I designed my own Kirby and he looked like this:
Eventually, I couldn't stop. I want so many systems I can't get and it makes me sad. My oldest system is the GBC. I have a lot of Kirby games, though. I have 3 episodes of the anime and a helping guide to Kirby Air Ride.
Once when I was looking for info on Kirby games, I stumbled upon this cool website. It looked awsome and I knew it was all about Kirby! This website is the one. I found it 2 years ago. I love this website!
Then, one day changed my life. It seemed like a Kirby rebellion day. People were trying to break down this website, Kirby's games were going low, the anime was getting taken off, and I stopped my addiction.
2 days later, though, I was back to loving Kirby- the little pink puff. I even wrote a poem on him. He's my screensaver. I write stories about him. I'm Kirby 95% of the time in Melee. I have 5 Kirby games and soon it'll be 7. Hey, I'm trying to get a N64!
Kirby is my idol. He's my favorite nintendo character. He's my favorite anime character. Also, he has my favorite color (in the games)- Blue! I'm enough of a Kirby fan to know that him and Dark Matter hate eachother. I also know MK isn't evil. There is a big history behind Kirby, and since SSB 64, I've been addicted.
DisasterKirby:
1995. It was a time of desolation. In a world dominated by Sonic the Hedgehog, the idea of Nintendo had been forgotten for many, many years... okay, maybe not that many. More like... two years. Anyway, where was I? ...Oh yes, desolation.
Luckily, the perimeter of the Genesis Empire is weakly guarded, so I was able to escape on several occassions. On one of said escapes, I managed to get to a location know as 'Grandpa's'. There, I met with a young kid, about the same age as myself. On his person was an interesting piece of machinery, known as a 'Game Boy'. Upon inspecting the device, I realized that this technology was that of Nintendo's work. Not having seen recent Nintendo technology in quite some time, I anxiously activated the machine (with permission from the young kid, of course). This point in time would cause a spark, albeit small and unknown to me, to ignite within my mind, as the 'Game Boy' contained the game known as 'Kirby's Dream Land'.
Oh, the characters! The levels! The unique simplicity! I was instantly hooked on the game. The amount of time that I expended while playing the game is unknown, but I do know that I played it until I beat the game.
Unfortunately, my time at this haven was but only for a temporary time, as the Genesis Empire quickly found me and dragged me back to their fortress.
1997. The Genesis Empire has been fighting a losing war. The Nintendo Alliance finally struck back with operation 'Nintendo 64', a new console starring the group's leader, Super Mario, in stunning 3D. I myself, seeing this as a chance to eliminate the Genesis Empire from my life, struck the final blow by going out and purchasing the 'Nintendo 64' with my own money, a first in my time. While this doesn't entirely relate to Kirby, I find this to be of some significance.
1999. A game known as 'Super Smash Bros.' is released in the Nintendo 64. I completely fall for the game, if only for the cast of various Nintendo characters that populated it. However, there was one character in particular that stood out from the rest; one that I could remember from a while back...
Kirby. It was almost as seeing him for the first time again. I played as him so often, it isn't funny. The once forgotten spark in my mind was suddenly ignited once more. I would go on to purchase Kirby 64 the next year, and even go back to see what I had missed during the time that Nintendo was nonexistant in my domecile.
From there on, I would end up purchasing almost every new Kirby game that would come out. I would eventually find KRR, and the rest is... well, you know.
Bazzoka:
Well, it all started when I my brother got a N64 for christmas.... how long ago? Well, lets just say it was a long time ago. Anyway, I guess I kind of liked Kirby for his cuteness back then, and he was just about the only "girly" coloured character that I liked. I really like how he could inhale his enemies and seatl their B move. I used him every now and then, so he wasn't forgoten.
A few weeks later though, one of my friends had gotten a game. A game called Kirby's Dreamland. I wanted to try it out so I borrowed it from him for a while. After I gave it back, I wanted to get one, and sure enough, I got one. I guess this is when I really got into Kirby. I found the way you play Kirby games is a lot more fun then play as him in SSB. Anyway, disregarding SSB, I thought that his ability to copy characters wasn't, or should I say, didn't exist because of Kirby's Dreamland.
Some time ago, I went to Japan. It was great, but the main reason I'm putting this in is becuase while I was there I got two games; Kirby 64 and Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble.... of course they weren't called that but let's just go with the english names. Kirby 64 REALLY sucked me into the Kirby series with it's combo abilities and very interesting levels. It also introduced to me a "fair" floting system, discluding SSB, but really, Kirby was cheap in SSB. Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble was also a great game to me. Produced a whole new level of play. Instead of a side scroller, it had a motion senser. I had fun with that game and it took me a while to even beat it.
A few years, or when ever KNiD came out, I saw.... well, Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland. Since I enjoyed Kirby's Dreamland, I went to get this new game. It didn't quite suprise me much, but I figured out that Kirby really could copy his enemies he sucked in. His abilities made it more fun, and adding in those switches and hidden stuff made if more fun.
Now, around this time, I think, I found this site. I was happy to see a site made just for Kirby. I went around looking at all the different Kirby games that I had never heard or seen before, but got to know them quickly and pretty much memorized all the names of all the games and, to a technical sence, their plots. I saw this place grow more and more over the years.
The anime didn't quite satisfy me, but was still enough for me, but then, I kind of stopped watching the dubbed and me watching the anime pretty much died out. But seeing the abilities in the show, plus the funky transforming/ability gaining music sounded pretty cool as Mic Kirby. This where I found out about Jet Kirby and made a more interesting version of Jet Kirby. You can see the picture in my DeviantArt, well, the computer one anyway. It's still on paper and I don't know I it's still there....
One last thing before the end of this. Kirby Canvas Curse. This was the second uniqe game, Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble being first, to make me interested in the game. The game play was a bit irregular, just like KTnT, but that's what made it fun, to me. The fact you could use abilities still in this made this game harder, for various and obvious reasons. I loved it and beat it, but still try to get 100%(two medals away from 100% )
So basically, Kirby's Dreamland sucked me into the whole Kirby franchise, with it's basic, but fun gameplay, while SSB introduced me to Kirby. Kirby 64 was a great game and I hope they'll made a better version, but change it alittle. I'm also looking forward to play KSS on the Wii, when as I wish I could play the original. KTnT and KCC were the most difficult and fun games for me to play. So, pretty much, no matter at what age I'll be at, I will never forget Kirby because, I probably be playing one of his games. Or, atleast a game he's in.
HeyKirby:
Well, it all began when I played Kirby 64 on my Nintendo 64 when I as about 7-8 years or so. For every ability and combo, I wrote it down. I also had an intrest in sailor moon at the time. The part i didn't know about the game was to collect all the crystals, but I figured it out later on. When I grew up, I saw kirby anime. I though it was adorable. (FYI I'm a boy.) Once again, my family had channel switched and I coudn't find it anymore. Still, I practiced drawing anime and had a intrest in Japanese Music which was mostly it's video game music. Right when I hit fifth grade, I decided to go back in buisness, but I needed a idea. Then it hit me, KIRBY! At first, I drew his arms very round. Then in sixth grade, I drew a comic (still going on forever, work on once in awhile.) I though it'd be awsome. well, before that, I did a 10-20 page comic in my notebook because the teacher nagged too much. I couldn't remember what Meta Knight's name was so I called him Knighteen. He sure lookde like Kirby as a Knight. I usually imagened Krby to be a eater and a sense of comedy. Let's just skip ahead. I also had intrest in pokemon whien I was young. It was JUST the pokemon not ash and his dumb speeches (no offence ash lovers.) . I make another comic when kirby met pikachu and because I wanted to make a gang so I made Pokerby! Unfortunetally, it never started. I know my story is long and boring. I hope you'll enjoy my art when I get a printer! Well, I hope I can. Thanks for listening.

KIRBYKIRBY!KIRBY!!!!!!
Yes, yes, Kirby....
I admit, that I cannot recall completely when I first had my encounter with Kirby. I belive it, however, to be Kirby Super Star, whenever it was released here. I was very young at the time, as I am currently only fourteen. However, the game "sucked" me in. Get it? "sucked" Fine...Boring people who can't take a joke. With it's multiple, yet simple games, I found it easy to pick up and easy to play. And who cannot enjoy a pink puffball and his helper (like Sir Kibbles!) battle thier way through subgame after subgame? And it's also pretty mmuch the only game to have a real sotryline: Metaknight's REVENGE! I think that''s really also where they introduced him. but he's for a later time.
Another thing is that Kirby had the amazing ability to take his enemies powers and use them as his own. Kirby Super SStar had combo attacks for each power. Like Beam, which wasn't just a single beam attack. It had a charge up Tri-burst, aan air attack, a dash attack, and a throw attack. And who cannot resist using Jet to seismic slam your enimies into submission? Or maybe fire, when you could set Kirby on fire instead. Or perhaps maybe even Cutter, which introduced the skill, Final Cutter. (now it's a sword ability) They also ahd Copy, which seems useless to kirby, but in a two player game, when he created TAC, he was devestating.
I suppose the next game I played was Kirby's Dreamland. That was hard, but utterly a letdown becasue of the lack of powers. Then I played the second game of the two. It was an imporvement, and I do like Kine .
But, then Kirby's Dreamland Three. Was, WOW. Sure, they scrapped the hats and many powers, they had an interesting art style, which I have liked above any other Kirby Game to date, But the main thing was the complexity of the game. I still think It's porbably the hardest Kirby I'v ever played. And Pitch was awesome. Ever see kirby use a remote control bird before? I don't think so.... I'm not sure, but I had a feeling that that game was low production or something....
So, yeah, that's how I got drawn to the short, pink, squishy, and seismic smashing marshmallow of fun. I hope you enjoyed it. Now I have every game EXCEPT Kirby's adventure. Dang, I want it.....
I want to hug him. again.
