Stage update on the Halberd, including a mention that it is very important in the Subspace Emissary. Also confirmation of the Combo Cannon, which they call a double-barreled battery arm. It attacks with missiles, beams, and it's arm.

It gave me the warm fuzzies when I saw it.
About its role in Subspace Emissary, this wording struck me as a bit odd:
"It’s Meta Knight’s battleship...isn’t it?"
Sakurai himself doesn't seem that sure...maybe it has been stolen. |

Yep. That one line right there that Mamthew42 pointed out is what I consider irrefutable proof that MK is on the side of good. Also, notice that the first screenshot (on the Smash Bros. site, of course) is of the hangar from E3, which I've heard more than one person dismiss as "a long time ago."
...By the way, I'm surprised no one's commented that Kirby is misspelled in the Smash Bros. Dojo Update logo. A bit of quick photoshopping should fix that.
Ah, one more thing... this stage looks like <i>pure awesomeness.</i> I'm glad the Halberd was finally brought back. |

i wonder if the combo cannon will drop bombs like it does in Kss as well. but i am hoping Sakurai is hinting the halberd itself will be a boss in emissary...battling a battleship....ISN'T THAT AWESOME?!? |
