Merry X-Mas from D3-D |
Ho ho ho, everybody, or, should I say Dedede, Daimyo? Probably not, 'cuz it doesn't make any sense. What am I even trying to get at?
Rainbow Resort all-around cool guy, Dedede-Daimyo, worked real hard this month, maybe longer, on making a grand ol' present for every fan of Kirby: A Kirby Super Star Ulta Emaki. It's basically a giant, detail, unbelievable stretch of great artwork after great artwork. So much was his masterpiece that he got his own Fan section.
If SiR6 deserved one, he deserves one. The guy's about how I'd define "a fan" of Kirby.
So, Merry Christmas from D3-D and, subsequently, RR, and a Happy New Year as well.

Just as expected. Down to pretty much every nitty gritty detail the entire game holds. This is one treasure for the website worth the Star Rod. |

Thak you SO MUCH KRR Staff!!! :) (Cry)! This is truely a Christmas miracle! You have done a beautiful job on the layout of the page, and the automatic or manual scrolling! I am so happy! I can't thank you guys enough! You will surely see more of my art in the future! That said, stick around fans of my work, for an out of this world New Year!!! |

Yay! Merry Christmas and a happy new year ta everyone! And thanks Dedede Daimyo for showing us your amazing artwork! |

Wow this is such an amazing artwork! but what is the point of it having it is own section? I can't see how this has any benefit unless a similar artwork was to be made in the future, which won't be the case because it is named "Super Star Ultra" anyway. Couldn't this be put in the ARTWORK section? size limit? what exactly? |

I just wanted to say one thing: after aome dissapointing things that happened over the year, like Smash Bros Brawl not having more than 40 characters, I got to hand it to ya, Dedede Daimyo(I'm texting directly to Dedede Daimyo, not Bimblesnaff, who was a good guy), you really made my whole year, and that of all Kirby fans. You are the best person that ever came to this site since Ivyna J Spyder! It was thanks to Nintendo and HAL, and then you, that this emaki was made possible. This emaki defines not just EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER AND THING in there, but it also defines and shows the heart of the Kirby series as a whole, and moreso, the heart of the person who made it. This was a perfect year for Kirby, and your amazing art skills in which you put so much effort made it even better. Many thanks to you, Dedede Daimyo. Your achievements will not be forgotten. Now you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, because "Happy Holidays" doesn't cut it! WIth love, Sonny B. |

The emaki got its own page since the large view is six separate images. The gallery can't string files together for an uninterrupted scrollable view, so yes, there is quite a bit of point to it. Sure beats using your imagination to get what it'd all look like put together -- or downloading it and stitching it together yourself. |

What? you can just stick the pieces together in photoshop and be done with. And why not just "Emaki" section? it would serve better that way so it would be possible to add another artwork based on another game. |

Daimyooooo!!! I was made to be impressed by this Emaki highest! You are KRR's SuperStar!! |

WOW! That's the greatest picture I've ever seen! When I saw the other picture of Kirby Super Star Ultra, I thought there was missing so much compared to the old Kirby Super Star drawing. But now you've drawn a lot more! |

Impressive. Truly amazing. Must have taken QUIET some time to do that picture. Congratulations on making an update. |

Thank you all again, friends. Merry Christmas to all! A little info on how this all came togather: I began sketching out preliminary drawings and the framework in Nov. I had actually made about half the emaki on smaller sheets of paper before I decided to go all out and make the whole thing on 11x17" pages. To get every character in the right place, I traced my own work and positioned everything accordingly. Then in Dec., I went over everything in pens of extra small, small, and large widths. Next I applied my intricate style of coloring, which was a dragging nightmare, but it turned out quite well. Please forgive the crooked scans- the actual 100" long scroll fits togather perfectly, though without white lines between each page. Thanks again, and remember, none of this could have been made possible without the combined efforts and programming skills of Bimblesnaff and Co.! |

One last thing (please forgive the double comment)- by printing out each individual image and gluing them togather, you too can have your very own miniature Kirby Super Star Ultra Emaki. I must add, fans of my work, If you are planning to take any part of this for your own use, please contact me and give me credit. Here are some extras to look for: I have included some characters, such as Blopper, who were not actually in KSSU (But darn, I forgot the original Capsule J!). There are also many interesting cameos on the final page, including KRR staff members. And yes, that is my characature at the end :) I wanted to add more backgrounds, but I was too tired upon finishing, and I did not want to ruin it. One thing I did mess up on initially: I forgot to include Fire Lion. I had to draw him separatly, then glue his image, along with Kracko Jr., in place (which can somewhat be seen). Anyway, thanks again all who have recieved great joy from this work of art :) Your acceptance gives me joy as well! Happy Holidays and New Year KRR! |

The length of the process sounds almost painful. But it sure did come out great. |

Unfortunately, I won't be resuming my fan art on the site. =( |

As usual, the masterpieces of Dedede-Daimyo have gotten me jealous. It looks so wonderful! No word can describe its' wonder! Nice Rolling Turtle reference, by the way; I should figure you would put him in there somewhere. |

Oh? The Emaki is not seen now. It's problem of the server? I hope for its restoration. |

@ Aru: I can get the page to open, but it seems to take longer than average to load completely. Try waiting for the picture to fully appear. Thank you everyone for all your praise and acceptance! And thank you Aru, for agreeing to collaborate with me on an art piece :) |
