Jamey gets off the
Internet Poll and turns to the contestants.
JAMEY: Out of 10 viewers, 20% voted for Kirby and 80% voted for
Waddle Dee. Waddle Dee, I
bet you know what this means.
Waddle Dee nods, gathers his things from upstairs, and walks out
the front door.
RIBBON: Aw…poor little guy…thing…fuzz ball?
JAMEY: Now only 5 contestants remain: Kirby, Ribbon, Adeliene,
Kawasaki, and Meta Knight. I’ll come back tomorrow afternoon to
play the next Mini-Game. For now, I will disappear for no
apparent reason.
Jamey leaves the room.
KAWASAKI: Let’s hope this next Mini-Game is a sleeping
contest…
META KNIGHT: Whatever. I’ll just get to my room to take care
of some…Uh, business. Yeah, business.
The scene changes to Ribbon’s room, where every wall and corner
has mountains of Kirby merchandise. Among these lie a 4-foot
stuffed replica and the ever-so-popular Kirby Beach Ball.
Ribbon opens the door and hovers in. She sighs deeply.
RIBBON: Oh Kirby…You’re just so adorable…
Ribbon blushes. Ever since the end of Kirby 64, she’s had a
huge crush on Kirby.
RIBBON: (Giggling slightly) I love my room…now to put up some
more posters…
The remaining five contestants are standing in the backyard
under the hot sun.
Jamey comes from inside the mansion and meets up with everyone.
JAMEY: Today’s Mini-Game will be the 100-Yard Hop! I hope
we’re familiar with this, so why should I even explain the
rules…
META KNIGHT: I wasn’t in Kirby 64…
JAMEY: Well then aren’t you in a pickle?! Let’s start this…I
hate explaining rules…
They line up at the start of a 100-yard dirt path.
JAMEY: All right, contestants! Ready…
META KNIGHT: So what are we supposed to do?
KAWASAKI: I don’t know either! We’re screwed!
JAMEY: Go.
Immediately, Kirby and Adeliene jump with all their might to the
finish. Ribbon slowly hovers and lands from one circle to the
next. Meta Knight and Kawasaki don’t even move.
META KNIGHT: …I am NOT going to make a fool of myself like
that.
KAWASAKI: I’m too chubby for exercise…
The race soon becomes between Kirby and Adeliene, with Kirby in
the lead.
Adeliene does a few long jumps to slowly catch and pass Kirby.
Kirby begins copying her, and they go at the same pace.
JAMEY: Chances are, Kirby will win the race because he’s losing
right now. It’s almost always like that!
They continue to go at the same pace as they come to the final
stretch. They keep jumping two spaces at once.
ADELIENE: This is it! I’m going to win if I keep this up!
