The Meta-Knight Saga

Part 5: The Surprise

This is working perfectly... I can't lose. The Dededebot is invincible! Not to mention its Kirby-seeking missile launcher, Kirby-seeking laser, Kirby-seeking cannon...
    "Sir!", boldly said Waddle Dee, "we've reached the highest point the ship can take, directly above Butter Buildings, in Bubbly Clouds, near Grape Garden."
    Could he be more specific? "Send the troops down through the clouds and onto the roof of the main tower. After it is taken care of, post some guards there for lookout."
    "Sir, yes, sir!"
    Ah... once we control Butter Buildings, we can see all of Dreamland! That pathetic puffball doesn't stand a Gordo's chance.  But, I want to know when he dies, so I can mark down the exact second in my log. "You, Meta-Lance!"
    "Yes?" answered Meta-Lance.
    "Keep a close eye on Kirby, I need to know when he's dead."
    "It should be any minute know, he's at the Dededebot right about...now! I'll flip on the Bot-cam. Suddenly the huge monitor was put into a first-person view of the Dededebot.
    It's times like this I wish I had some popcorn. The view showed a humongous green cannon come out of the colossal machine, then aim directly at a tiny pink ball. 3...2...1.... "BOOM!!!" The noise echoed throughout the room! I love surround sound! When the smoke cleared, there was no Kirby in sight! Yes! Hooray! What time was that? Aw, who cares! I finally destroyed Kirby! This is the best moment of my life! Yahoo! But then an oddly familiar sound was heard? That voice... The next thing the crew knew was the Dededebot turning its head to a large flying beast, and then the camera got fuzzy and blurred. Uh...
    "What was that?" asked Meta-Lance.
    "I don't know... it sounded like, a pterodactyl..." respond the confused Meta-Knight.
    "Is Kirby dead?"
    "We can only hope..." Immediately followed his sentence came the noise again, only louder.
    Then Meta-Axe yelled, "It's Dynablade! He's heading toward the ship! And, he's got Kirby riding on him!"
       What the?!?!? I guess history repeats itself. But... my troops are...in...the...tower... "Quickly" screamed Meta-Knight over the intercom, "Somebody, Get the crew back on board and ready for combat! Focus all extra power on the cannons aiming and shooting capabilities! Shoot him down! Kill Kirby!" Chaos all over again. Soldiers were practically diving on the Halberd II and rushing either to the deck for battle, or the cannons for shooting down Dynablade.
       I need information! "You there, uh, status!" Meta-Knight said to a random crew member. 
       "Dynablade is about five minutes away, and we've got our crosshairs locked on him right now. Ready...Aim..."
