In the
very start of this boss level, the platform will move up
like an elevator. Your only worry for that period is to
avoid Pix trying to cut Kirby (squatting with the down
button works real well) and just wait until you reach the
top.
Once you've reached the top, the battle
begins as Pix (all three of those crystals) goes into the
center to prepare for their attack.
On the platforms there are
different colored atom-like structures that pop up. These are
for you to inhale and spit back at the crystals. You probably
already realize, that you can only shoot blue crystals at blue,
red at red and green at green. Shooting a different color at a
crystal will not harm it in anyway.
For every two hits a crystal
takes, that crystal will be destroyed. It will resemble the
outline of the atoms, and it cannot hurt you nor can you hurt it
anymore.
There are two attacks the
crystals will muster:
1. The uni-attack: All crystals
will unite together and do a sort of spinning around the
platform. This is perhaps the hardest to avoid and the hardest
to aim for a crystal.
2. The separate attack: Each
crystal will become sword like and just move around the
platform. They usually will go in one direction, and then about
half way through the attack they will switch directions. This
attack is the best way to give at least 2-3 attacks in a go. Pix
is a boss that requires timing, once you understand it's pattern
it won't be so hard.
