I just want know how beat nightmare in Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland? 2)how you get hi-jump Kirby?

- Chelly

Squeaky Bogg

1) Well sir, you have this handy-dandy weapon called a Star Rod. Use it to hurl stars at the dreaded fiend. You have to aim for his revealed body beneath the cloak. It's a gassy funnel. Every other part of him is invulnerable to attack. Also, when jumping and attack, a nice spin is done. I'm pretty sure this can eat up the nega-stars he throws in response.

2) The Starman, Jumpin' Dan. Every game is the same. This is the only foe, ever, to give Hi-Jump. The guy is a pretty rare sight, due to the ability's less than versatile use, but the guy is featured in the Museum of Level 3, Butter Building, of said game.

how do I become a kirby guru?

- Gameqube

Squeaky Bogg

Notice: you ask me questions, and not even ones that are difficult to find the answer to. This is freely found, floating information from basic scrounging. That alone, ignoring the quick-draw response and answer inference, says that you have many years before you could even get in the running. Technically, I'm not worthy of the title, so if you aren't topping my low bar, then you ain't got squat. Do not pass go. Do not collect two-hundred dollars.

Seeing that king dedede is slightly more inportant than meta-knight, why is mk playable more often? i think its because of warpstars, but that is just me. Do u think the anime is good ok or babyish? Why was only keeby given a name, not red and green kirby? Why does dedede help kirby in kirby 64? I mean their rivals and all... do u think their should be any more abilitys that hal missed other than water? What is the most common boss and mini-boss?

- Squeaky Boggs Taste Good

Squeaky Bogg

1) Size, for the most part. In the Dream Lands with pets, a lot of spaces were left open to accommodate the larger players. Super Star has massive helpers, but they can just be warped anywhere they can't reach while Kirby goes on ahead. The game isn't entirely impeded because of a nook. Meta Knight is the same size as Kirby, so he can be inserted with no foresight to level design. I don't see what Warp Stars have to do with anything. From what I've seen, Meta Knight just sprouts wings and rockets off when he touches a star.

2) I don't think the animated series knew who it was targeting. It seemed to have elements designed to pander to demographics young to adult, which was its target, but came off as alienating all those groups at the same time. They should have focused and made it specifically for one type of audience rather than spreading thin and lacking substance.

3) The yellow Keeby is not the same as the yellow fraction cut from Kirby in Amazing Mirror. Keeby was around long before then, appearing in both Dream Course and the Toy Box one. The two are in no way related except for their shared color.

4) The King and Kirby were never rivals. Ever. At all. Dedede is just generally a jerk, but had his heart in the right place in every action title following Dream Land to before the animated series reset him. Since this form portrayed him for of a cartoonish villain rather than a misunderstood, poor thinking hero, he was gradually shifted back to being bad by his own will until this position was solidified with Revenge of the King. 'Cuz, you know, who can remember the established storyline from the '90s? Most of Kirby's fans weren't even born yet. Stupid larval forms...

5) HAL never "missed" water; it's just a stupid ability. When games have an elemental spread to them, water is usually given the cold shoulder, meaning it's either the lamest of the lot or is just made icy. Adventure had two types of freezing in it. Water is normally skipped over as it does nothing. Some powers pound, others slice, and good deal light fuses. Later games had conducting through metal. What can dampening do? Dream Land 3 put water into an application of Clean for one stage's Heart Star. Squeak Squad just went with Bubble since those could actually do something interesting. Water wasn't "missed", it's just boring by itself. With greater specialized handling and programing, maybe they'll stick something worthwhile into it for Legend of the Stars other than an arcing attack. Maybe it'll be the Kine equal to copy abilities?

6) King Dedede is the most common boss, appearing in next to every title, only beat out by Waddle Dee and Kirby himself. The most common mini-boss is Mr. Frosty just 'cuz he appears in more titles than any other. I'm not going to bother counting each guy's individual battle when this one appears in Adventure, Dream Land 2, Super Star, and Amazing Mirror. No one else even comes close to that.

*) Dude, seriously, knock it off. You're taking advantage of my kind hearted nature. If you just dumped in a batch of questions each session, I wouldn't mind, but you're pulling off a dozen drop plus more on other days. You should read the second part of the frequency question. Really, I'm going to have to control you if you won't control yourself.

1. Why did you end the Round Knight's contest so early? It was supposed to end in May.

2. In Meta Knightmare Ultra, why can't Meta Knight preform his own moveset, complete with his unique sword swipes, instead of being a carbon copy of sword?

3. Why wasn't Kirby Kirra Kirra no Kizzu, or whatever the heck it's called localized to the US?

- Theorizer

Squeaky Bogg

1) This is what we chalk up to actually reading what is said. The contest was to run from the start of April to May, the contest as a whole. It was openly made clear that six weeks in (the 3rd quarter), no new entries would be accepted. In the last quarter, voting would be kept open to allow the later submissions to catch up in number with the early ones, plus the last minute added nominations. Then, the finale and contest wrap up would be posted and digested in the odd week left over. The entire stretch of focus on this contest would be for the two months, and then come May, the next Interactive Fandom contest would begin, whose time would be the next two months, probably. This was just as fully explained on the knights page. Now, Super Star Treatment ended early at only half the slated time. Round Knight Recruitment is going exactly was scheduled. Other folks didn't have trouble understanding this format as it was clearly detailed.

2) Because it's easier. All Ultra is is a bunch of copying and re-hashing. Helper to Hero is just the Arena. Revenge of the King is just some tweaking to Spring Breeze. Even the regular Arena is just a collection of boss battles strung together, and they managed to make that stretch out several fold. Meta Knight is just Sword. He's not suppose to be anything more. That would take time and effort to design whole new attack executions for. Nope, just change the sprites and redistribute. That's the entire idea behind a remake. Get by with the least effort possible while still entertaining the fans. Besides, he has his special touch screen commands. That's something new.

3) The suped version of Star Stacker was never ported to US ports as Nintendo didn't feel it would do well in the American market. Different countries have different tastes. They didn't feel that costs of translating, packaging, and redistributing would be met in units sold. So, they just thought, "Nuts to that" and kept it in the land of the rising sun. Besides, Kirby's big sellers are his core games. I love all his crazy side games, now, but that doesn't mean everyone does.

What does the bomb item do in kirbys dreamland?

How come poppy bros dont ride grizzos in KSS & KSSU

- Squeaky Boggs Taste Good

Squeaky Bogg

1) 'Cuz this information isn't given on the Dream Land Items page or the Bomb Item entry. I wonder how you'd even find out there even was a bomb item without an accompanying description of what it exactly did. Suck it in, spit it out, and it goes boom. It's very brief.

2) Having one enemy ride another takes special handling and programing, which they didn't feel like putting into Super Star. They already had one lumbering foe there, so strapping a weakling to his back wouldn't really hinder the player any. Also, with how explosive and far reaching the attacks were in that title, the Poppy would probably never get the chance to dismount.

Hey Bimblesnaff. I just need you to answer this one thing:

Can you change your screen name in the gallery/forums?

- Kirbyzilla

Squeaky Bogg

Yes. Well, you can't. I can. Well, not me, but there's ways to get it done if it's really wanted to be done. It's not like your Face Space tag line to be changed at a whim.

1.)Why do you do this?

2.)Whats your least favorite ability besides 1 use abilities?

3.)Can I add some stuff to Thorn Knight. I want to add:(after attack 2)'the scratch can deflect projectiles' and at the end 'Thorn Knight, like the knights in Adventure, can be defeated in two hits'.

- Airride_Master

Squeaky Bogg

1) That's a good point. * quits *

2) I don't like Laser, personally. There's nothing to it. Just shoot straight forward. If there's slopes around, a rarity unless in a Laser designed location, it can be good, but typically it's just firing forward. No creativity to it whatsoever.

3) This late in the contest, it's worthless to change anything. The modifications are largely meant for when the presses are still rolling, not a week after production started winding down. Most all opinions on that entry have been well solidified. And, really, the fact that you feel it needs mentioned that the knight has the durability of a regular Meta Knight really says something about the mind frame of the participants. Why would anyone think any different unless specifically said otherwise?

Remember that page you had about Episode 17: The Ring story of Parm and Memu,on the anime page with the complete summry and the screenshots? Why did you take it off and could you put it back on the site? ...also i'm a huge Fumu fan...

do you think you could make a Fumu fan-site,with episode screenshots as well as the openings, fan-art,fan-fics,sprites,info,and some other things??? I would love that! It would be sweeet!!

- Fumulover

Squeaky Bogg

1) No, I don't remember. I don't pay attention to the animated series pages in any way. If there was a page on that "unaired" episode, it would have lost all meaning when they went ahead and did air it. What worth is there in a page that tells people something that they could easily see themselves.

2) No. Quit asking for that. If you want a Fumu fan site, you make it. The sight of that yellow bowling pin makes me noxious. I would gladly remove every reference, image, or implication of that wretch from this site without hesitation. That's not what the site is about. That's certainly not why I'm working here. It's no where close to anything I care about.

i would like to talk about the mirror world bosses. I know that you said to stop talking about that topic but i have very different theories. you that wiz and paint roller are the same.

First, you claim that king golem and wispy woods look alike, but that is wrong because your claim is based on the fact that they are both tall structures while they look nothing alike besides that, but they are similar because both of them use similar attack. apples falling and rocks and gordos falling. spit air puffs and spits golems.

wiz and paintroller are similar too. paint roller moves randomly to 4 corners and spawns an enemy there and is invincible while painting. wiz. however, also moves randomly, but instead of going to 4 places, he goes to 6 places. He then spawns numerous enemies and is invincible while spawning.

crazy hand and master hand are not similar to mr. shine and mr. bright, instead i have a new theory. What if all the bosses in the game are from all the previous kirby games, then i suggest that both of them are similar to twin woods because both of them are fought seperatly as one, but you fight 2 of them, and both of them combined have special attacks like the hi five attack and the wood shifting thing(whatever it is called)

That will also explain how there is a dark --- in the game since dark matter was not in kirby's adventure, and if i remember, the mk in ka did not do the tornado thing dark mk did

please show this to everyone and please comment

The reason I said to leave it dead is because it's a pointless debate. Nothing is being accomplished, nothing is being said. Nothing is doing anything. It's just killing time, wasting space, and depleting brain cells. It was all more than thoroughly covered, explained, and nailed shut before. Nothing new is even being brought to the table. As if that weren't bad enough, I've said it all before anyways. You're just saying things that I already brought to light in poorer grammar. You're just stirring the compost of this dillema and letting a big reek into the air. No lime added, no new scraps to be tossed into the mix. You're just digging up the rotten past, and I'm the one who will have to deal with the stink.

1) First of all, when I said that Whispy Woods and King Golem were related bosses, I specifically addressed how they looked like one another and acted the same. You were only pulling out part of the quote of mine while ignoring the rest of the context. Actually, it's not even a matter of context. It's what I said. You seemed to put your hand over your eyes and only see what you wanted to.

And how can you say they don't look alike? Both being tall pillars is a great relation to tie the two. Now, if I were saying, "Character X is a ball and so is Y", everyone is a ball! There's only two who happen to be large, pillar shaped structures. And look at that face. The eyes are spot on, both empty and hollow. The one just has a branch nose while the other is more square and blocky, being that its brick rather than wood. But, really, if Whispy were ever allowed to be given a new style make-over, he'd be more like the King. Look at how much Sword Knight has changed from Adventure to Super Star Ultra. If they felt like sprucing up the oak, he'd be spruced, trust me.

2) Next, I never said that Wiz and Paint Roller weren't similar, ever. I merely said that they weren't similar enough. Many bosses share the same battle tactics. If that were all it took, then Lololo & Lalala would have a herd of incestuous babies in Nruff, Nelly, Pon, and Con. They act the same, so doesn't that mean they are related? No! It just means a new tactic wasn't wanted to be thought up. Now, like I already said with Whispy and King, both actions and appearance would have to be alike in order to be regarded as a "mirrored version" in my book. Jeez, this sounds familiar. Oh, that's right, I already said it! Same question as before, the one that started it all.

3) You might as well say that Master and Crazy Hand are alternate versions of Combo Cannon, 'cuz you'd get about as much relation between those two and Twin Woods, and at least that boss makes use of gloved hands. No, it's more of the way that I already explained it in, shock, another question, the game makers did not see their own gimmick through. If they wanted to have a distorted version of an older boss in every boss in this title, Kracko would have at least been "Dark Kracko". He wasn't. It was just plain, ol', regular vanilla with no sprinkles Kracko. This sole example trumps any and all arguments to a unifying theory. This large crack pretty much busts up all of the far stretches in relationships drawn between bosses. Again, this is nothing new. I've said this all before. No reference to it again unless a written note from HAL themselves says otherwise 'cuz it's not accomplishing anything in the slightest.

4) It's been established more than enough, if not just known outright at first sight, that Dark Mind is a fusion of Nightmare and Dark Matter, not necessarily a "reflection" of any one particular boss. And, now, I'll offer up why such a thing happened in canon:

"The magical mirror in the sky granted any wish reflected into it in its dream like world (that's in the story, folks, basic truths told in the brief opening). However, Dream Land hasn't had the best of tenants as of late, namely scourges like Dark Matter and Nightmare. These two sinister forces were captured in its gaze, tainted the mirror's normally good purpose, and led to proliferation of only dark wills, dark desires, and dark minds." That's pretty much how they tell it in the game, except you replace "Dark Matter and Nightmare caused it" with "one day, it just hit the fan". Pretty obvious where the ill influence came from given the boss' appearance. And that's how HAL managed to re-use Nightmare and Dark Matter without actually using either. The end.

What is Pople Works? This site is linking to it whatever it is, but it just gives me a 403 Forbidden if I click it.

- Leirin

Squeaky Bogg

Pople Works was a big Japanese Kirby fan site. It's gone now? That's sad. Ol' RR use to be pretty buddy-buddy with them. We got a lot of content from them, like our Adventure soundtrack, and probably more than our fair share of information. It's really no surprise that the site stopped working. We have links in our link pool that say things like, "Hasn't updated in six years", and that was five years ago. Internet death is a rampant problem. So, yeah, Pople Works is dead, it would seem, and no longer can be viewed. Those links probably need cleaned up.

The site was hosted on "Chu.jp", which I could best say is a web hosting service like AngelFire, only a bit more professional. People still know what AngelFire is, right? Anyways, it doesn't look like the site was free like some providers, and when there's a bill at the end of the month, it's a lot easier to let a site "go under".
