Now as you once mentioned about needless name changes, like Kaboola/Kabula, what about the Combo Cannon/Main Cannon #2? That's even more pointless. Isn't the Combo Cannon the #1 Main Cannon?

- Kirby Is Cool

Squeaky Bogg

1) That change was rather unnecessary, yes, but I never said I covered all of the possible stupid changes. If it was a change, then it was a stupid change. However, this change may have been to clear some things up as will be seen with -

2) As for the numbering, the Combo Cannon was actually not the main cannon. Even in the original Revenge of Meta Knight, the crew makes reference to the "main cannon". This is used to blast Kirby out of the sky at the end of Chapter 2 and, assumed, to be used in taking down Dyna Blade. Later, at the close of Chapter 4, they say that Kirby is nearing the twin cannon, not the main one. There are several guns spotted on the Halberd, and the fact that these are actually two different sets is perfectly believable.

Yeah... i'm kinda new and stuff so...

1. What is the story about MK's mask.

2. The very first episode of Right back at ya, when MK first sees Kirby, somethin funny happens like Kirby glows and there a bunch of stars... I don't understand why they did that.

3. I saw from somewhere that Kirby learned taht cute dance from Dedede. OMG! That makes no sense at all! The king doesn't look like someone who would do that kind of thing... really.

- Rika

P.S I already ask you one question.

Squeaky Bogg

1) There is no story behind the mask of Meta Knight. It has just always been there. It has no crucially tied story elements. However, there are very plausible (read: obvious) reasons behind it, all of which have to do with the games' version of Meta Knight. Whenever Meta Knight is defeated, his mask splits in half, it shows that he looks exactly like Kirby, and he flees. Now, it's very easy to piece together that he is either ashamed of the fact that he is one of Kirby's people or does not want anyone else to know this truth about his identity. Basically, his mask serves the purpose of a mask -- hiding his face.

2) I would say this is Meta Knight recognizing Kirby as a Star Warrior. It's a way of stressing the fact, "Whoa, he's special!"

3) Yeah, you saw that, probably, right in this segment from a joke of mine. Maybe not directly here. Maybe someone didn't know that I was entirely yankin' their chain and spread it as truth, but it was a joke.

What do you think is better: Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland or Kirby and the Amazing Mirror?

- Kirby Kirby Kirby

Squeaky Bogg

Well, I think that Nightmare in Dream Land is a stupid, twinked remake of one of my favorite games, Adventure, that just about ruins the whole experience. They made it way to much easier, made the secret doors way more obvious, cut down the difficulty, and took out Bounder among other wrongs. *cough hats cough * So, there you go.

hey,

1. if all the big bosses from all the kirby games fought, who would win? Obviously zero two would beat all the dark matters

2. Ado is Adelie isn't she?

3. Why, in gods name, is there no MIRROR ability in kirby and the amazing mirror? it could even be a final weapon except it made stronger than in KSS and KSSU.

4. it is so stupid that kirby 64 was not called kirby's dream land 4 isn't it? It dark matter as the bad guy, no meta knight- like all the dream land series and practically has the same layout- hell, it was a treat for all kirby fans to get to ride on king Dedede instead of the animal friends

- MirrorMarx64

Squeaky Bogg

1) Zero any number beating up the Dark Matters doesn't make any sense. They are all pretty much the same thing. Dark Matter is like an extension of the ruling white mass. But, regardless, yeah. A rumble to the end would be pointless as only that one boss stands out as the supreme, over-the-top, powerful dominator. He had most of the solar system under control while others (that weren't his doing) were focused on cornering just a piece of he conquering market with Pop Star, and hey couldn't even get that.

2) In my opinion, yes. It'd be like a character Rob appearing in an earlier part of a what-have-you line followed by an identical character named Roberto. I've broken this down plenty before.

3) There is no Mirror ability as they didn't want a Mirror ability. It was just one of the complicated power selections that is probably doomed to only be in the Super Stars. In truth, they didn't even get the ability right in that game as there was little it could even reflect, and most of the time it was just used to bombard foes with a flow of mirror shards. And what would it be? Fire with a wider range? That's a bit worthless. Top that off with the fact that the game centered on a mirror, as you stated, it makes more sense to not feature such an ability in the same title to avoid misconstrued assumptions about the ability. And as a final weapon, what worth would Mirror have? Reflect stuff back at the boss? No, Master did a much better job as a ultimate weapon as it also opened up all of the possible secrets to the player. And, it could stab up. Having Mirror jump from a ho-hum power to the supreme force, also, would make less sense than anything.

4) Yes, it was like the other two games to feature the real Dark Matter as the three were all directed by Shinichi Shimomura and have always been grouped together by fans. However, many gaming lines do not like to amass a large set of sequels. Take a look at Mario Bros. Shouldn't Super Mario World be Super Mario Bros. 4? By right, yes, but in greater sense, no. The numbering of a game normally ends once the title makes some type of significant change. On top of that, a hop between systems almost guarantees a cut off. Marketing, too, would also prefer that a game "starts fresh" to not scare away new players to the franchise. A buyer is more likely to pick up a title like, "Bob's Fun Time" rather than "Bob in Happy Land 3". Well, what happened to Bob those first two times? I don't want to start in the middle of the series. That'd confuse me. Granted, Kirby and most non-RPG titles don't need that history, but that's how the consumer's mind works.

Yo, Squeaky, got some more questions for ya.

1. Why did the squeaks steal Kirby's cake of all things?

2. Why is there a monster downloader in the background of Dedede's battle room in Squeak squad.

3. Does kirby need to use the bathroom?

4. how does kirby fit the minibosses into his mouth? for that matter, heavy knight and other heavy enimies look to big too.

5. Why is kirby only able to get, like, 7 abilitys in kdl2, if it came after kirby's adventure which had like 20?

6. how does kirby share his ability's with his animal buddies?

That's all for now,

- Nightmare Kirbo

P.S. I'll be on the lookout for your unnamed arch-rival... I think I saw him by the castle.

Squeaky Bogg

1) The Squeaks stole everything that wasn't bolted down. Besides, given their lifestyle, theft is probably how they got their meals. Kirby was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

2) This is what you call "a nod". It's a fun little reference to the animated series that would make fans of it go, "Ooh!" while not going far enough to tick off purists of the games and show.

3) I'm more worried that you would want to know. Sicko.

4) When Kirby sucks something up, in all truth, he's normally a lot larger than it is, especially when it's just a single foe. Mini-bosses use to be a lot smaller, and if they were to be rolled into a ball for maximum space saving ability, they'd believably fit into his stretched out body. This made perfect sense until the mini-boss size expansion of Nightmare in Dream Land. By this point in time, they just didn't care. However, you have to look at things as they are. Also, no matter their size or shape, they come out as a single, small star. So, obviously, the foes are converted within his mouth, reducing their size.

5) Because you don't understand math. Really, that's about the simplest way to put. Yes, there are less obtainable powers in Dream Land 2 and all the rest of the Dark Matter trilogy, but that'd be like saying that Crystal Shards only gives the player eight. You are skipping all of the combinations of abilities. Rather than Beam being gotten from Waddle Doo, it is taken by combining Rick with Spark. There are not seven abilities but twenty-eight in 2, fifty-six in 3, and, what? Forty-four in 64? Each one tops the measly low twenty-some in Adventure and Super Star; however, people don't like to think about the gimmicks behind the games. They just take the number for what it is on he surface, ignoring that abilities can be completely changed. Granted, Kine's Needle isn't much different than Kirby's, but this is the general system.

6) Answering that question would require an in depth and complete understanding about how Kirby's copying ability even worked in the first place. However, since Rick can eat 'n' gain just like the blobster, I'd say that they have the same ability using ability. Placing them in proxy to Kirby with a power is like two conductive pieces of material passing a charge. The power is shared and passes between the two.

why is tiff, tuff nor[i dont know how to spell it] escargo are not in any of the gams of kirby.

- Uh... Some Body

Squeaky Bogg

Because there is justice in the world. All of those characters from the animated series that you named are from the animated series. That universe and the one portrayed in the games are two distinct and separate realms. Nightmare is not a supreme evil. Kirby is not a Star Warrior nor do they even exist. Meta Knight is neither a mentor to Kirby nor Spanish. Kabu isn't a giant totem. King Dedede doesn't "order monsters". These two takes on Kirby are wholly separate, and I hope they never do cross, outside of the little nods. The show ignored plenty of factors from the games, and I pray the games ignore characters made in the show.

yo bimblesnaff thanks for the kirbys dream land info. now for questions. in squeak squad are daroachs hands attached to his body. i read that it didn't seem like they were attached to his body on kirbypedia. and it's been bugging me ever since. thanks. kirby kid signing out

- Kirby Kid

Squeaky Bogg

Poppy Bros. Sr.'s hands aren't attached to his body by any arms, and he's old school. Jukiddo, Iron Mom, and probably some others all have the phantom limbs. It's not really that odd of a concept. Yes, Daroach lacks arms.

Hey you should work on the one game you made on yoyogames.com. It's awesome so far. Make a boss stage or something.

- Enoc

Squeaky Bogg

For the un-informed, he's speaking of Dream Land Dash, a little venture I had into game making. It had about a week or few of work put into it before it demanded more graphics to be developed, and then I lost my place in its progress. Since then (years), I've gotten so much better at the coding process of Game Maker, I'd be better off starting from the ground up. So, yeah, that relic will probably vanish from the face of the earth some day before it ever gets finished. Who knows, tho'. Maybe, also, Squeaky Bogg will have some crazy adventure to say Turkey Day... two days ago... for Christmas.

Personally, I think you're a role model to all the staff at KRR. I mean, you update as much as possible, and you consistently answer all of the goofy questions these people ask you. It's pretty amazing to me.

1) In the dub of the anime, I know that Kirby sometimes got dubbed over, like in the first episode where he meets Fumu, Bun, and Lololo & Lalala, their names were dubbed over to match that of the dub names, as an example. But, is this voice actor ever creditted?

2) How old were you when you first got into Kirby?

3) Is there any proof stating that Batamons are different species from Kirbys'? To keep safe, I would consider them separate species as well, but... they look very similar, it's hard to tell by the little sprites. (Or do they have their own artwork I am unaware of?)

- Leirin

Squeaky Bogg

0) Truthfully, I'm surprised, too.

1) Makiko Omoto does the voice of Kirby, and she's the only one credited with it in the first episode. I don't think they had her do an additional dialogue for the overseas version, a feat done more commonly when the releases are closer together. No one is really said to be responsible for the speech, but, then again, neither is Blade Knight, the one that doesn't mumble. Yeah, even in the show, information in Kirby is kept locked tight.

2) That would be safely placed back in the year '93, I'd say, so I was nine. Maybe ten.

3) The closest thing to official doctrine on Kirby mythos and biology is the manga, which is more than an acceptable fact source. They pretty much are game guides. It's not like those cheesy 3rd party comics put in Game Pro or anything. There's one particular piece in the manga where Kine & Coo discuss Batamon, something I apparently never linked to before. Go figure. In it, there's a quote that sums it up with a big, pink bow: "In short, they're just fake Kirbys." It's a translation of the original Japanese, yes, but the translator is a respectable fellow who knows their stuff. Also, on the right, there's a comical bit about chins. Golden!
