This is just
a warm up. Unless on Very Difficult setting, Link won't even
move until you attack him. You should have no problem
knocking him out, especially with the tornadoes roaming
about. If he gets thrown out by the tornado you'll get a
Tornado Clear bonus.
Vs.
Yoshi Team
It
should only take a couple of hits to knock the Yoshis out of
here. But still, going up against 16 Yoshis is going to take
a while. Just make sure you get rid of them before they
start to gang up on you. If you throw them out in the order
shown at the top of the screen you'll get the Yoshi's
Rainbow bonus.
Vs.
Fox
Practice is
over. Fox is the first character to fight back a bit. Just
remember that Fox goes a bit faster then most of the other
characters, so this is not a battle where you can get away
with fighting defensively. If Fox gets blown out by an
arwing you'll get an Arwing Clear bonus.
You're going to go up against both Mario and Luigi. Seem a
little unfair? Well, your going to get a randomly selected
team mate to help you out. Make sure you know who your team
mate is, it tends to get a little hectic. If your team mate
doesn't get thrown out you'll get a Good Friend bonus. If
your team mate doesn't get touched at all you get a True
Friend bonus. If Luigi gets thrown out without Mario getting
any damage you'll get the Brothers Calamity bonus.
Vs.
Pikachu
Be
careful on this stage. Like Fox, Pikachu packs a powerful
punch, but Pikachu isn't the only Pokemon you'll have to
worry about here. Try to stay on the center platform as
little as possible. Also, Pikachu tends to get a bit out of
control with his Zap Jump. So. this would be the best place
to try to pull off a Pacifist bonus. If Pikachu is knocked
out by a Pokemon (from the center platform or from a
Pokeball) you'll get the Pokemon Clear bonus.
Vs.
Giant Donkey Kong
It seems Donkey Kong has been
gaining a little weight. He's about 3 times his normal size
and it's going to take at least 250% damage before your
going to have a hope of throwing him out. Fortunately your
going to have 2, count'em, 2 randomly selected team mates to
help you out. Giant Donkey has a very long reach, so try to
make it a long range battle. If neither of your team mates
are thrown out by the end of the battle you'll get the DK
Defender bonus. If neither of your team mates are damaged at
all you'll get the DK Perfect bonus.
This
is the point of no return. If you can make it past the Kirby
Team, you'll go all the way. Most people agree that the
Kirby Team is the hardest stage in the game. With good
reason too. You're going to go up against 8 Kirby's each
with a different power ( the 7 original characters other
then Kirby and the other is randomly selected from the
unlocked hidden fighters or a normal Kirby). They'll put up
the toughest fight you'll see. At least they tend to knock
themselves out a bit. If you throw out all the Kirbies in
the correct order (Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Yoshi,
Fox, Pikachu, and the randomly selected Kirby) you'll get
the Kirby Ranks bonus.
Vs.
Samus
Samus is
the last of the original 8 characters that your going to
face. If your able to stay clear of Samus's Charge Shot and
the lava pit you should be OK. If Samus gets thrown out by
the lava you'll get a Acid Clear bonus.
Vs.
Metal Mario
You're going to have to be patient to get rid of Metal
Mario. You're going to have to get him up to about 300%
damage before you'll be able to knock him out. Unlike Giant
donkey Kong he usually doesn't make it back if you get him
over the edge and doesn't attack you a lot anyway. He won't
even leave the top platform until you knock him off.
This is an easy team like the
Yoshi team, except these 30 Polygons are a bit smarter. Each
one of them is a exact duplicate of one of the fighters
except for how they look. It's going to take a while to get
rid of all of them so you can probably pull of a bunch of
the bonuses here.
Vs.
Master Hand
This
is it, the final level. But the Master hand is more then
Hamburger Helper floating around. He only has a few moves,
each of which he gives a little signal of before he does it.
Once you learn the signals, he won't be able to touch you.
You don't throw him out like the other characters. At the
beginning he has 300 H.P. and your going to have to bring it
down to 0 H.P. Once he's below 100 H.P. he's going to fight
a lot harder. You've been warned.
