Crate
- Crates usually
hold 3 Items. You can brake the crate with a few hits, or
you can throw it. If you throw it at other players it will
do a bit of damage, but it won't go very far.
Barrel
- Barrels are
similar to crates except they don't brake when they are
thrown, they roll until they hit some thing. You can brake
it by hitting it, but beware. Some will explode on contact.
Capsule
- These little
things contain one Item when you open it. They will open up
they same way as crates, but it's easier to carry it around.
Some of these are also booby-trapped.
Egg
- These are the
exact same as Capsules except that the only way to get them
is from a Chancey. These, as well, are booby-trapped.
Weapons
Beam
Sword (thrown: 25%)
(regular: 15%) (smash: 25%) - I can't say exactly what game
this game form, but it is handy. This is one of the few
Items that can be smashed by pressing
,
then quickly pressing
+
.
The smash isn't as easy to pull off, but it is worth it.
Home
Run Bat (thrown:
18%) (regular: 7%)(smash: 10%) - The home run bat isn't as
long as the Beam Sword, or quite as strong, but if you smash
it, your opponent will be automatically thrown out. Try not
to stand to close to somebody who's holding one.
Hammer
(regular: 30%) - This Item is taken from the original Donkey
Kong, even with the music. This is the strongest weapon, but
it has many down sides. You can't double jump while holding
it. You can't drop it once your holding it. You can't do any
other attacks at all while holding it. Finally, a strong
attack from above like Kirby's Rock Drop will go right threw
it.
Fan
(thrown: 8%) (regular: 2%) (smash: 8%) - This weapon is the
biggest annoyance in the game, especially if your on the
business end of it. It's a very weak version of the Beam
Sword, except when you hit somebody it doesn't push him or
her away. This is good if you want to pull off a couple of
good combos.
Motion-Sensor
Bomb (thrown: 10%)
(activated: 30%) - Finally some explosives. This is a very
devious device taken form Golden Eye:007. If you know every
inch of every stage, this will come in quite handy. The
problem is, it doesn't discriminate. If you forgot where you
put it, your in big trouble. So, try to keep an eye out for
these, they tend to blend into the scenery.
Bob-omb
(thrown: 36%) (activated:31%) - Don't let this guy's size
fool you. Somebody skilled with Items could wreak some have
with him. The thing to look out for is that if he's left
alone for to long he will activate himself, and if anybody
walks into him... well lets just say it won't be pretty.
Bumper
(thrown: 6%) (regular: 1%) - You like pin-ball? You want to
be a pin-ball? It could happen. These don't do a lot of
damage, but if somebody walks into it, it just bumps you
away. If placed right on the edge of a platform, it could be
what decides the match.
Red
Shell (thrown: 15%)
- This is a good throwing weapon. The thing is that when it
lands it will go for the closest fighter. Just make sure
that's not you.
Green
Shell (thrown: 23%)
- Like the Red Shell, this is good for throwing. The problem
is it will eventually skid to a stop, and if you missed,
your opponent can use it against you.
Pokeball
(thrown: 16%) (smash thrown: 20%) - This Item will release
one of 13 different Pokemon. The fighter or team who threw
it is immune to the Pokemon's attacks.
Snorlax:
This Pokemon will fly
up, grow to three times it's previous size, then squish any
one underneath.
Beedrill:
This Pokemon will call
it's swarm and they'll all fly in, nailing any one in the
area.
Meowth:
This Pokemon will throw
a bunch of coins in four direction. Be careful not to get
caught in it.
Onyx:
This Pokemon will fly
up and drop rocks down in the general area. Walking over a
bit should save you.
Starmie:
This Pokemon will shoot
a bunch of stars at the closest fighter to it. This you can
also get caught in.
Chancey:
This Pokemon will throw
a bunch of Eggs into the mix. Be careful, some are
booby-trapped.
Blastoise:
This Pokemon will blast
water across the screen. He will move backwards while doing
this.
Goldeen:
This Pokemon is the
equivalent of a "dud".
Charizard:
This Pokemon will
breath fire back and forth. Try not to got caught in it's
flames.
Hitmonlee:
This Pokemon will give
a swift kick to the closest fighter. It's very hard to
avoid.
Clefairy:
This Pokemon will
randomly do one of the other Pokemon's attacks. Try to
determine it quickly.
Mew:
This Pokemon will just
give you a couple of bonus points in the One-Player mode.
Koffing:
This Pokemon will shoot
poisonous gas all around itself. You can also get caught up
in this.
Ray
Gun (thrown: 12%)
(regular: 10%) (ammo: 16 shots) - This is a good weapon to
use at far range. Just make sure nobody is trying to attack
you while your using it. Remember to throw it when you run
out of ammo.
Fire
Flower
(thrown: 10%) (regular: 177%/59) (ammo: 8 seconds) - When
you get this you have the power to unleash a nasty flame. If
you back some one into a wall, they could be stuck until it
runs out of ammo.
Star
Rod (thrown: 11%)
(regular: 10%) (smash far: 12%) (smash near: 34%) (ammo: 20
stars) - This is a combination of the Beam Sword and the Ray
Gun. It can smash and it can fire. You fire it by smashing
it. If your not near somebody, the star will just keep on
going.
Power-Ups
Maximum
Tomato - Reduces up
to 100% of your damage.
Heart
- Reduces all of
your damage.
Star
- You are immune to
all attacks for a few seconds
