Link has had his fare share of games. He's seen games on every Nintendo system, and if you've ever played Ocarina of Time you know he's a good fighter.

Links is a bit harder to use then other characters but his moves are a bit stronger to. A bunch of Links moves are long distance attacks, but remember, some characters can use your own attacks against you.
